Tasty eats. Kabsa goat platter was amazing! Will be back again. Side salad was great too. Only regret was not trying the Sambosa on this occasion

I saw this place on Unilocal and have been very curios about the place. Since there wasn’t too much information or reviews it wasn’t a place on the top of my list. Today we happened to drive right by it and decided we would have to try it. The 4 stars is definitely based on the food. Customer service, ambiance, look, convenience, all need a lot of work. We approached the entrance and saw the open sign but found the door locked and nobody in the front. Looking through the windows we saw someone in the kitchen washing dishes. He noticed us and apparently was motioning for us to come in and wondered why we didn’t. We had to explain that the door was locked. Upon entering we were a little shocked at the interior. Mismatched chairs and tables, didn’t look like a restaurant at all. The employee working didn’t speak much English and was happy to find that my husband could speak Arabic. I think he was filling in for the day and usually works with other staff that speak a lot more English. They do Kabsa ONLY. Kabsa is rice with meat. The only choice you make is: fish, beef, chicken and maybe lamb. We decided to try it out and were pleased. It tasted great and had a lot of flavor. We ordered it with chicken. If you stop by just simply have a seat and pick your meat. It’s $ 11 and it’s filling. Check before you order if they will take cards. The employee working didn’t know how to use the machine and was cash only that day. He said that on other occasions they usually accept cards. It doesn’t look like much and the customer service is interesting but it’s worth trying. We will be back.

Tried this place because of Taste of Lake City and I’m so glad this place was on the list. We ordered the chicken sandwich and the chicken with rice and both were delicious. There is such robust flavors and the food smelled amazing, it was hard waiting until I got home to take a bite. I took one star off because there’s no menu and it took a out 25 min for our to go order. Otherwise, nice service and fantastic food.

I had the«Kabsa with goat.» Too much rice for my tastes but the goat meat was very tasty and there was a good amount of it. Service started off a bit slow(when someone walks in it might be nice to offer them a menu rather than assume they known the choices) but was very friendly and they were appreciative of me coming in. Will definitely try again.

My sister went there last week and ordered some chicken, salmon and rice dishes for takeout. When she brought it to me, at first, I was not interested in eating much because I already had dinner, but after I had the first bite of that rice which was colorful and amazingly flavorful, I ended up devouring everything on my plate. And then some. This was good food. I plan on making regular pit stops over there from now on.

Delicious homecooking, flavorful rice dishes with meat, the serving was very generous(we got takeout). Tried the lamb and the chicken rice dishes. Comes with salad, dressing, and a spicy green pepper sauce for the rice! Very yummy and very satisfying!
