John showed us quite a few houses, and he was always ready to show us more. His advice was solid and reliable. If you are looking for a realtor that understands Seattle’s market and knows the rules I would highly recommend John!

John helped my wife and I buy a home during one of the most competitive times of year in one of the most competitive markets in the country. It was tough to find a place that we loved, but once we did John helped us reach mutual acceptance quickly and easily even though we weren’t the highest bidder. Amazingly after that he was then able to negotiate the cost of our house down by $ 7k. His knowledge of real estate transactions, home construction, and hard nosed negotiating skills are hard to come by anywhere and my wife and I would highly recommend him. He offers tons of advice on the neighborhood, the structure of the home, and the market, but allows you to make your own decisions regarding what you can afford and what to bid. A lot of real estate agents will push you in one direction. John doesn’t do that, but will provide his opinions if asked. All around great experience.

John helped us find a great home in a tough market and in a tough price range. As first time home buyers, John did a great job in educating us in the home buying process. He was always available for us whether we needed to look at houses or had questions. He also knows a lot about house construction and does a really good job of showing you both good and bad things to look for in a home. When it came down to closing John stood firm on some issues with the seller and made sure several issues were remedied before we took possession of the house.

John was amazing. We are just in the process closing on a house after — all told — over 2 years of looking! (ok, we had a one year break for baby in there). Being first time buyers, we had to figure out what it is we wanted.
John was patient, consistent, understanding of our needs, and just great to talk to and hash out ideas with. He is absolutely professional, and has a wealth of information and people to contact for services we needed in the process. And for us the absolute cherry on the pie is that he has a background of in building. We were looking for turn of the century to mid-​century homes and he can walk into a house and like a detective tell you what to look for, identify where cracks/​water/​or other things may have come from, and start the discussion on what it would take to fix it. That was HUGE. We learned so much from him over the time we worked together. And the house we are buying now, it’s just everything we were looking for.

John always kept in contact and even let us know who to contact if he was going to be out of town. He did not want something to be missed even if he was a way. John has great contacts for us throughout the process from the inspector to drywall. John had a few choices to work with. I would highly recommend John for buying or selling your home:)
