Ate here 2 days in a row. Their fish and chips were amazing, mussels and clam combo was generous, and super affordable. Don’t expect any décor or aesthetics. It’s over the counter kind of place. Great value and SUPER fresh! What more do you really need? :)

We spent hours(literally) walking around downtown Seattle looking for reasonably priced oysters. How hard could that be? Ugh it took us quite awhile. Restaurants either didn’t have them or marked them up crazy high. We happened to pass Jack’s Fish Spot while heading back to our hotel as we had given up. To our surprise, they were reasonable AND delicious! We also had the clam chowder which was amazing. Friendly staff and reasonable prices. Only downfall would be the seating, but I know they’re not a ‘restaurant…’ more like a food bar type place. We found a little spot in the area and ate there.

Buncha stoners. It took them 30min to get a basket of fish and chips out. Never again, the food isn’t worth the wait

Ordered the regular fish($ 7.99). Love the fries! The 3 pieces of fish I got were on the smaller side, but the tarter sauce was so tasty! The fresh dill gave it such a nice, fresh flavor. Everything was made fresh and the batter was nice and crunchy, not oily at all. And oysters for $ 1.75? I’ll be back.

We came here last year and got the works… A crab, oysters and fish and chips, and ALL of it was fantastic. Craig and I, were very excited to come back as it’s one of our favorite spots in pikes place. It’s hard to find a seat to eat but the food is worth it. This time, we tried the clam chowder since the one in the alley is ALWAYSSOPACKED. I must say the clam chowder is THEBEST I’VEEVERHAD. So creamy, rich, flavorful but not overwhelming. we both loved it so much! The oysters were amazing as ever! Check this place out, it’s the real deal!

Legit fish place at Pike place. Ordered the salmon and chips. Good salmon with good tartar sauce and decent fries. Overall worth the $ 9.90 I paid.

2.5 stars. Always passed this place and I finally got to try it. First off, it definitely was not clean. I know it’s an outside joint but while waiting for my food they had appliances with half cut onion, pans everywhere, 2 fillets of salmon sitting out. I was just observing the place and it isn’t pretty. I asked the guy for napkins and he just opens a whole in a new package and just puts it on the table. Doesn’t even try to refill the dispenser. Thanks dude. My mama originally wanted the clam chowder but we wanted to try the cioppino, which is an Italian seafood stew. The cashier tells me basically everything on their menu is in this stew and it’s tomato based. Well my cioppino was definitely tomato based but had 2 mussels, clam SHELLS, 3 chunks of salmon and 3 chunks of beef. So half of the menu was in my soup plus some cow. And it was mildly spicy after a few bites. It wasn’t that bad, but I was disappointed by the amount of seafood. I wouldn’t get this again. We also got the fried oysters. The guy fried it pretty damn brown. I think there were 5 oysters. 2 being pretty small and 3 being mid size+breading. They were crispy and juicy but I had better at Ivar’s. The fries had garlic on them which was pretty good but they were so greasy! Just by looking at them they were super shiny. I should’ve dabbed the oil off! It also came with a side of tartar and 3 packets of ketchup. I also wished they would at least wipe down the bar once in awhile… If they offer tables and seats, wouldn’t you still at least clean them for your customers? My mama visiting from LA seemed disappointed since we were at Pike’s Place expecting at least decent seafood or something exciting but it was mediocre. There’s plenty of other seafood restaurants out there to try!

Affordable prices for food. There’s a bit of a line, so if you don’t mind, this is an above average place to eat! ATMOSPHERE: Jack’s Fish Spot is located inside Pike Place Market, and the noise level is high because the people behind the counter is yelling someone’s name left and right and the places where you could sit is near them. I didn’t mind because eating here made it feel more authentic. FOOD: I ordered the fish and chips was a little disappointed to find my fish pieces to be small. Although, the fries, and the fish were tasty! I also had the clam chowder which I thought was too watery. CUSTOMERSERVICE: Minimal contact. The only time we talked to an employee was to order.

Delicious and great ambience. Although the clam chowder was a bit salty, it was still delicious and you can add some lemon to balance the saltiness. The mussel and clam steamers took the cake though, as it was fresh and flavorful, and also served with butter! There’s a small eating area in the market itself that gives you that street feel, and the staff was really friendly and always cracking jokes. Would highly recommend!

Been dying to try out this place! But few of my friends had interests in seafood in a market so it was quite a bummer. Anyway, I finally made it to Jacks and it turns out to be a pleasant meal. The dining environment was of course not good but part of this is why I wanted to come in the first place!!! The experience! And the oysters were really fresh, and the service was good too and the people there was really funny. The cooks chatted with my friend and I even when they were already super occupied with cooking and dealing with the huuuuuuge crowd of customers! Anyway, if you’re looking for cheap oysters and a one of a kind fish market dining experience, I’d say this is the place to come!

#42/100 Ever seen a video clip were you see guys throw and catch fish up in the air almost like playing catch everywhere at a fish market? Jack’s Fish Spot sure comes close! Great local spot for bomb azz fish n chips! Definitely fresh as it gets here at the Pike. Can’t go wrong– Prawns. Halibut. Salmon. Cod. Dungeness crab so good! Love grubbing fresh seafood any day, every day!

Very disappointed… And disappointed is a word I don’t write lightly. Service was fabulous… Can’t fault them that. Our cashier was so friendly and made sure to ask every guest where they were from. Loved that. What I did not love, however, was the amount of crab we received in our Crab Cocktail. This vendor is located in a touristy farmer’s market, where price markup is evident. As a well-informed customer, I knew this when I ordered and did expect to pay a little more for local seafood. Unfortunately, I did pay a little more, but for a lot of nothing. The dish cost $ 7.50 for 8 ounces of crab. Sad to say we received a cup that had 6 ounces of celery, a lemon and maybe 2 ounces of crab. The way the crab cocktails are displayed in the case, it looks as tho the entire cub is filled with crab… An assumption not only by myself but by every other disgruntled customer near me that received their celery cups. I’m not writing this solely as a stiffed customer. I get merchandising, and I understand it’s purpose. But there is no lack of crab in the Seattle area and I would have liked to see more of my money go to that then to chopped celery.

Biggest complaint FRIESWERESOGGYAF and OILYAF. Fish chips itself was pretty good. 6.99 for crab salad — not bad. Pricing wasnt too bad 6.99 for fish and chips. Garlic Fries are 2.99 but when you toss your fries away because it wasn’t edible. It’s kind of a waste. Looking at other pictures on here, I’m guessing the fries he gave me was like the old ass batch. Why you gotta do this to me?!

3.5 The seafood is fresh(duh, it has to be right? It’s all right there!). Anyway we got the Dungeness crab, shrimp cocktail and Cioppino. Everything was good except the Cioppino, it was so bland! There wasn’t anything in there except fish and tomato juice with some half ass veggies. They should add more seafood and not only fish… Like maybe some shrimp, octopus, and mussels or so. Less fish. And add some old bay and more seasoning, literally tasted like nothing. Next time we won’t be getting that and eating only fresh live seafood!

This place was definitely busy on a wednesday night. Its located in the public market and a place where most tourist go to get their fish and chips. I ordered the regular fish and chips with garlic fries. It was really good but i expected more fries to come with my order. I think that when you ask for to go, they try to skimp you by giving you less fries compared to the orders that are in the trays. Each order comes with tartar sauce and ketchup and theres vinegar and tabasco sauce on the side counter. The place is prett cramped, but theres places to eat around it.

Okay, now I know why they’re famous. The food is amazing, the clam chowder was to die for, so creamy and flavorful. I got lucky and got the last cup of clam chowder. The people behind me was MAD like really angry. At first I was just thinking they’re tripping. But after my first spoonful of the chowder. I understand. The raw Oyster was super fresh, how fresh? It was still moving a little bit. Never seen that before, and it was delicious. I had half a dozen all to myself! So that’s what I got clam chowder and raw Oyster. My friend got a fish taco and garlic fries which both was good and pack with flavors. The fish taco was nicely seasoned before being fried. The fish was flavorful, light and crispy on the outside. Garlic fries was fried then toss with some garlic and Extra Olive oil which made it super yummy! Definitely not a date food. Service was quick and fast, the workers were friendly. There isn’t much seats it’s more like a bar setting but much more cramped and the table area is super small. We just order our food and sat across from here. Overall, I’m in love with this place. Can’t wait to go back in a few months!

Order the original fish and chips here and it was nothing special. The fish was okay and fries were soggy and not crispy at all… barely even ate the fries. This place is pretty popular as its right at Pike Place Market and can see why a lot of people come here. However, I would not recommend the fish and chips here.

I couldn’t write a review until I returned home to try the fish, and as they promised, their smoked salmon, pre-packaged for travelling back home, is really good. Not fishy with a nice smoked flavor to it. They were very personable when describing the differences of their salmon and giving us samples to try. They mentioned they sell it at maui, but I live on Oahu, so sad to say they discontinued flying here and now I have to wait for someone to fly to Seattle or fly there myself to get more.

Pretty cool for a quick bite at Pike’s Place Market. I got the scallops & chips… Hubs got the oysters & chips. Both were deep fried good although I prefer the deep fried oysters over the scallops. Line was pretty long but that’s to be expected since they are in a prime location in Pike Place. We had to walk around the area a bit to find a seat… I suggest if you are with a group, have someone find a seat nearby already and have someone to get in line and order. Two stars for me because it was rather too oily for my taste. Still a fun experience if you’re a tourist checking out Pike’s Place.
