Ice cream was good, sandwiches looked good, but this stuff is the biznis! Ever had a «late night» and thought to yourself, «hmm I’m hungry and something greezy sounds good.» This stuff on garden variety fries(fast food or grocery store… be creative) is next level. You will not regret.

One of the best places to go in West Seattle. It feels like home to all of the locals. They have excellent customer service and the best ice cream, the sandwiches are good too. If you live in the region or are just checking it out, Husky Deli is a must stop.

Amazing ice cream and delicious sandwiches. I used to come here often as a child, and I made the trip out there today just to pick up some Swiss Chocolate Orange ice cream! It’s just as good as I remember. If this was closer to where I live I would come here too much for my own good!

Husky’s is an unlikely place for ice cream. Their small creamery is tucked in the bottom left hand corner of their store. With over 25 flavors, they have many options to choose from. I ordered the salted caramel both times that I went. The ice cream was so smooth that you could taste the salt crystals dissolve on your tongue as the caramel swirls hit your taste buds at the same time. Some of the other flavors that had fruit swirls in them were too sweet for me, but I think it would be the perfect flavor for someone else! Husky’s also makes homemade waffle cones from their own waffle irons. They are huge! Smaller waffle cones and cake cones are available as a vessel who want something smaller or for less calories.

The best in all of Seattle Husky Deli is a West Seattle institution that I hesitate to praise too highly for fear they will be so busy I won’t get in the door. But in spite of their being around since time began, they haven’t forgotten the hard work that got them where they are today. These are the people that catered my wedding in 1983 with delicious cold cuts, gourmet cheese, breads, and salads. They make a salmon dip and a spinach dip that are both fantastic. They came through 3 years ago when I needed catering for a funeral and again this weekend when I was feeding 50 people at a baby shower. Everything is fresh, homemade, and delicious. They are super organized, your order will be patiently waiting for you to pick it up at the appointed hour. Don’t want pickup? They will bring it to you. Don’t need catering? Husky is also the best lunch spot in town, you can pick up food, beer, or wine, and their homemade ice cream beats anything in the grocery store. They have the candied fruit your mother uses in her fruitcake. Foreign treats? This is the place. The staff are polite, well trained, organized, and fast. Don’t be scared if you walk in and it looks crowded, they know how to move people through and get you what you need. The only downside is its a 10 minutes drive: in a perfect world I’d live next door.

The only thing I buy here is meatloaf, it’s the closest taste to haggis I can get without taking an expensive flight for the real thing. It’s really good. The only thing I don’t understand is the lack of pleasant attitudes, not a smile, not a thank you. Maybe they don’t have to since they’ve been in business so long & have hoards of customers.

This is a review for the ice cream only. I saw my friend post a picture of her blackberry cheesecake ice cream on Instagram and immediately demanded to know where her ice cream was from. She replied the Husky Deli and I knew I had to check this place out right away. You’ll either have to find street parking or a small lot(pay) to get here. It’s a pretty busy street so finding parking may not be the easiest feat. The place itself is hard to miss because of its giant glass window and bright lights inside. There are many things you can shop for here, but it’s the ice cream that really drew my eye. There are a lot of different flavors to choose from, including really unique flavors that you might not find anywhere else! There are of course your classic flavors as well. They make fresh waffle cones here if that’s your thing. Since I went during Girl Scout cookie season, they had thin mint and samoa cookie ice cream! There was an additional one dollar charge on them, but it was so worth it! For a single scoop you can choose two flavors and I tried thin mint as well as blackberry cheesecake. The ice cream is rich, smooth and creamy. It’s the perfect consistency for eating right away! I liked how both the flavors I chose were not overwhelming sweet. I loved the bits of thin mint cookies as well as the blackberry swirl. Both were divine and I am so curious and eager to try their other flavors. Seriously, trying to decide what flavor of ice cream to get is so difficult when there are so many appetizing choices!

Did someone say ICECREAM! Great goodness, I usually don’t eat a lot of ice cream(lactose intolerant) but their ice cream will make me risk it if you know what I mean. Oreo ice cream is one of my favorites. Its much more economical to buy the half gallons versus a cup, plus you will have extra left over. Service is always pretty quick. I do wish the sample sizes were a little bigger but I can’t complain. I have not tried the deli section but thats next on my list. A+ for ice cream.

This place is a gem. Homemade ice cream(with a variety of interesting flavors that are sure to please), delicatessen, treats from around the world, etc, etc, etc. This is a cool place! My fiancée was pleasantly surprised to find a lot of British candies and chocolates in the back as I was just happily perusing all of the different items. We ended up having some sandwiches made and then grabbing some ice cream. It was good. This place isn’t super cheap, but then again I’m not from Seattle, or a big city for that matter. My idea of cheap is the dollar/quality menu at any fast food joint.

Have been coming here for ice cream for the past several years. Found a mouse scurrying around the seating area during my last visit.

Ok, if you don’t like Husky Deli then you are straight up TRIPPPPPINNNNNN. This place is . I’ve had a lot of ice cream from Husky, honestly, probably too much ice cream from here. It is just too good to stop. Do they have ice cream rehab? I’ve also had the sandwiches here and they are super good and made to order. My faves would be the Reuben and the Pesto Chicken grilled sandwich. The prices are super fair and the servings I think are pretty big. I like to grab one of the interesting sodas in the bag to go with my sandwich and milkshake. Don’t judge me! I like options!

Excellent deli spot for the best sandwiches and so much more! The meats and cheeses are plentiful, the bread is the best around and the combinations are endless! They have many options on the menu board to choose from or create your own. My go to place for truly great everything! Lattes, wine, beer, and their famous ice cream! Black licorice ice cream?! Yes! My favorite!

Rocky road ice cream in a waffle cone. Ingredients: long blonde hair, giant chunks of ice, 2 tiny marshmallows, a couple walnuts, stale waffle cone(inedible). Horrifying. Seems that the ice cream and cone were long expired, and overpriced.

Now that’s some good ice cream! Came here on a hot summer’s night, and was not disappointed by the scoop I received. Can’t go wrong with most of the options here, though the line does get long and move somewhat slowly during peak hours. Highly recommend

We were hungry in West Seattle and looking for something quick to eat, so decided to stop at Husky Deli. I settled for the chicken avocado sandwich while the BF had the whole bag lunch with a ruben sandwich. The bag lunch comes with chips, a cookie, and an apple. I also got a single scoop of ice cream — blackberry cheesecake and butter pecan. I didn’t think the sandwiches were that great. My bread was a little stale and crumbly. There was a bunch of meat in it, but not much avocado at all. My bf’s ruben was so tiny, very little pastrami. The amount of pastrami was about half of the chicken in my sandwich. They deserve four stars for their ice cream. Omg it was so good. Blackberry cheesecake was the winner — I loved the jam-like swirls in the ice cream. I will definitely come back for that.

I’m a big fan of West Seattle, so each time I visit, I try to find a slice of the neighborhood I haven’t seen before. Husky Deli is a perfect example of what Seattle is all about. I went there on a rainy day, and found myself surrounded by local treats and warm sandwiches. After ordering the adult grilled cheese, I started swimming in a dream of melty goodness and a bit of cheese and fat related guilt. It was oh so worth it though. There are grocery products for you locals as well, but for the traveler, you should focus your time on the deli menu. You will be happy you did.

The root beer ice cream gets 5 stars. Do I need to say anything more than that? I probably should get a sandwich or something, but it’s hard when Talarico’s is right across the street. I’ll definitely be back for the ice cream though.

The Husky Deli, a family-owned deli and ice cream shop, was one of my favorite parts about living in West Seattle. I still drag visitors across town in summer to line up for one of their huge ice cream cones or milkshakes(Oreo Coffee has to be the best ice cream flavor of all time). Spring for one of the freshly made waffle cones! Their made-to-order deli sandwiches, cold and hot, are a great lunch value at $ 8 or less(including veggie options). One of my faves is the Artichoke Turkey(turkey, herbed cream cheese, artichokes, lettuce, and tomato on French baguette). If the weather’s nice, get a bag lunch with chips, apple, and cookie and head out to Alki Beach to enjoy the sunshine. They also have a wide selection of imported chocolates, candies, and hard-to-find international foods. The deli counter has plenty of fancy cheeses and meats, plus all the usual salads and cold cuts. Service is always friendly, and I get the impression that they hire a lot of local high school and college kids, which is nice. A great spot for sandwiches and ice cream, and it feels good to support a local family-owned business, too!
