Very delicious and very affordable. I have not found a bahn mi as good and as reasonably priced anywhere. ever. The bread is fresh, sandwiches are substantial and i would gladly eat lunch here every day if i could. Another family owned gem in white center. The ‘special’ and ‘grilled pork’ are sandwiches i could eat for every meal.

Best Vietnamese sammies ever!!! They have a lot of great hot foods and snacks. Don’t let the way it looks discourage you from trying, an absolute must!

Up there with the best banh mi. Unilocal wants me to right more, but there is nothing more to say. If you want a bahn mi and this comes up on your search then flow your navigation app here and get a sandwich.

The owner is so nice and welcoming, almost to the point that you forget how eerie the actual restaurant look. They have the best crispy pork banh my, and other nostalgic Vietnamese goodies. Definitely the xoi here will satisfy your craving for homefoods somehow.

I checked out this place today based on the excellent Unilocal reviews and I must say I was extremely disappointed. This was the worst banh-mi I’ve ever had. I had the grilled pork and it was awful. First of all, it really didn’t taste grilled and most disappointingly it was mostly fat! The nerve!!! I would have preferred if the lady had just told me that they were out of the grilled pork instead of assuming that I would be OK with having a mostly pork fat sandwich. Disgusting! Not that it’s expensive at all, but it’s probably worth mentioning that this is the most expensive banh-mi I’ve had at $ 3.75, so I thought it would have tasted better than some of the other places which have not disappointed. I would recommend the banh-mis at 88 Restaurant just up the street; have not had a bad one from them yet.

Unilocal, you have failed me. I just got lunch here and it was the worst bahn mi that I’ve ever had. Ever. The pork was thick-cut and half of it was rock hard, the other half gooey fat. The bread was soggy and the sandwich tasted so bland. I have no idea why anyone would rave about this place. Ughhhh, lunch ruined.

Omg this little hole in the wall place is awesome!!! My boyfriend and I went here and ordered grilled pork and special banh mi and an order of prepared roast pork. I’m vietnamese and this place was goooood!!! Beware the chilis they are spicy! But still so good! I tried some of the roast pork and it’s still good and crunchy. I had a bad experience where another place gave me stale leftover roast pork and it was so disappointing. But the roast pork is good here too! I also think they sell by the pound but she said she was out. Nice lady too!!! As soon as we came in she asked what we wanted to eat. :) and answered all the questions I had about the food. Definitely will be back!

I absolutely love this deli store! I don’t have to drive to downtown Seattle much in order to buy banh mi for such an amazing price! Love love love!

I have been eating banh mi sandwiches in White Center for a few years now. I’ve tried them all and come to the conclusion Huong Xua has the best in the neighbourhood. Recently I tried a deli that usually makes the«best of» lists in Seattle’s international district, Huong Xua’s sandwiches are better. The interior and exterior décor are a little run down but if you are a fan of these Vietnamese subs, make the trek to White Center.

This place makes me feel nostalgic every time I walk through the door. My parents have always gone here since I was a wee bit lad and constantly bought my school lunch from here. The banh mi(vietnamese sandwiches) here are nothing short of yummy and filling. The pre-made dishes are also delicious as well. I’ve tried the spring rolls, and the chow mein.

The little ladies behind the counter are always in such a good mood and happy to help. We’ve always gotten the house special vietnamese sandwiches and they have never disappointed us. After the first visit, the lady remembered that we like spicy, and never asked us again, that is a plus in my books. Their spring rolls are also good and everything else. Highly recommended if you are in the area. Note that they will only take cards for minimum purchase $ 10, or they will add $ 1 for service fee for anything below. And i find it kinda cute and ironic that one of the lady that works there always wear a phở tai shirt.

First off, this isn’t the place you go to for fancy décor or super eloquent service. But if you take it as what it is– a simple, affordable and authentic Vietnamese eatery, then it’s one of the best(if not the best) in the area. Like everyone has been raving about, the sandwiches here are top notch, I love the grilled pork and their new special which is pork with this super crispy outer skin(my mouth is drooling thinking about it). I feel like some of the other items haven’t been discussed a lot in here(probably because the sandwiches are just too good to not think about), so I’ll mention them here. The coffee is affordable and if you want iced coffee they make it fast(it’s chilled overnight) which is great on the go. I like their rice dishes which are portion-generous and they have a fun variety of Asian snacks that are hard to find in everyday stores. Some of my favorites, Che and soy they do really well. As for service, it depends on who you get. If you don’t speak Vietnamese then the short-haired lady or the man(the owners) are your best bet, they speak English quite fluently. There’s one other server but she can only converse basic things(enough to get your food order but not enough to have a random conversation with). I don’t care for conversation anyway as long as the food is good.

Came in right at 6 o’clock, thinking they’d turn me away because they close at 6. Nope. The woman who was working made me a couple grilled pork sandwiches anyway. Awesome bahn mi, and cheap too! I bought two so I could have one the next day for lunch. I’ll be back!

From San Francisco to Seattle, this by far my favorite place for a banh mi! The bread is always fresh — crunchy on the outside and chewy on the inside! The meats all taste wonderful, and the jalapenos have just enough kick to keep you coming back for more :)

Really delicious vietnamese sandwiches here! my husband LOVED his grilled pork sandwich and I loved my combo! Fresh and chunky vegetables in there! I took Zulkiffly’s recommendation and added extra veggies which costs 50 cents extra, which I dont mind I love my veggies! The owner was very friendly too and very happy. They also sell dry goods and a couple sauces and grocery items, but its very limited. They sell some prepacked deli meals and asian and american drinks! Come try it out, its soo good. BTW he informed us that the Grill Pork Sandwich is their top seller and thats what the majority of people who come in for sandwiches get! Will be there tomorrow guaranteed! Because we are doing our laundry tomorrow in the area! Can’t wait!!!

Best Banh Mi ever. Best Vietnamese sandwich ever. I have gone to other cities and searched for something this good. But nothing compares. This place is hands down the best. I use to come here for lunch in High School — when their sandwiches used to be $ 1.75. Now it’s around $ 3.00. It’s still really cheap compare to other places. I only get three things when I come here: Chicken Sandwich with extra vegetables, Egg Sandwich with extra vegetable, and Coconut Juice with pulp. You cannot have a Vietnamese sandwich without Coconut Juice. They go together like Cheese and Macroni. The service here is pretty good too. They could use some customer service help. But most of the time they are very friendly, but friendly in the Vietnamese way.(If you’re Vietnamese you’ll understand.) If you get a sandwich here, make sure you get extra vegetables on it.

Searching for some super legit banh mi? Well, look no further!!! The grilled pork is the BOMB and at only $ 3.00/sandwich, it is one cheap and deliciously filling meal. They definitely don’t skimp on the meat here. There also have other meat options such as chicken, meatballs, and the«special» just to name a few. They are made fresh while you wait, so they’re warm and the bread is always soft and crisp. Cards accepted for a minimum $ 10 purchase. There also usually some freshly made spring rolls for sale if you get there early enough, along with many other Vietnamese lunchbox-type items. I also love the assortment of Asian beverages you can pick up there as well, with Philippine brand Mango juice being my absolute favorite to wash down a sandwich. NO, it’s not super fancy inside and that’s why it actually functions so well as a take-out/to-go spot. Super delicious, fast, and CHEAP. It doesn’t get much better than that.
