Best fries I’ve had in memory. Get the fries with feta and garlic tossed with seasoning. It’s a huge portion for $ 6 that you can share with someone. We ordered the lamb and beef gyro($ 7.50 I think) and shared it and we were the envy of the office. The gyro and fries is plenty of food for two people. The guys working there are super friendly. They have punch cards. Check them out!

One of my favorite trucks to grab a falafel! It’s definitely not your average falafel sandwich. They use Armenian pickles, a beet slaw and sriracha, along with the falafel and tzaziki sauce. So good! They park at Chuck’s hop shop on 85th once a week– best time to grab a sandwich and a cold craft beer. I also love their falafel salad, same gist but served over a bed of lettuce and spinach. Yum!

I like to get a falafel salad — lighter but delicious! I often make my own hummus so I can tell you that Hallava’s hummus is awesome — seasoned just right for my taste. And I really like the red relish with spinach and cabbage. Love it!

An Israeli-born friend of mine mentioned this place as being the only acceptable falafel establishment in Seattle. Details are a chore as well as a bore, so suffice it to say that he and I are no longer friends, and his taste is clearly flawed. Drops mic*

1 star for the fries, which were perfectly crisp and seasoned. Seriously, great fries and worth the $ 4. But it shouldn’t be lawful to make falafel this awful. If this were served in any of the Middle East countries there would be rioting! Overcooked, dense as a brick, and left me feeling sick.

Yeah! Dudes working here are hella nice. Was taking an out of town friend around downtown and happened to see this place amongst a line of food trucks on Occidental. This place was calling us. My friend is vegan, and though they have tzatziki sauce they normally use, they were nice to cater to my friend. Vegans are so damn difficult! Anyway, this stuff hit the spot big time. When hungry and doing a lot of walking around, yeah. Some falafel is the jam. The truck pulled away shortly after we got our food and it has the cutest horn ever. Beep-abeepbeeep-beepdabeep-beepabeep-beep!

wish I could’ve got a picture… before I ate it all! my friends and I were craving shawarmas after class and decided to check the place out, we also got a side of the garlic fries and besides the fact that they were a little too salty for me, they were great and I really enjoyed them. the shawarmas though… were crazy good! definitely worth the drive to Georgetown! went around 1 and had to wait 15 – 20 minutes for the meat to finish cooking, I personally didn’t mind the wait because you can kill time at the small shops surrounding the food truck! the meat was nicely seasoned and tender, the amount of veggies and hot sauce was perfect. I’m getting hungry just thinking about it. overall, I love this place for a quick shawarma fix! yum!

Are lunch here one time and this place is awesome! I had the schwarma and the garlic fries. The garlic fries were OK, I’ve had better… But that schwarma… I still have dreams about it! I definitely want to go back there again… correction I HAVE to go back again! The guys working were awesome and friendly. Definitely recommend going here!

This is by far the best falafel in Seattle! This modest yellow truck lives primarily in Georgetown catering to the lunch crowd in the surrounding area. I usually get the falafel salad. The falafel is always made to order ensuring that is always hot and crispy on the outside. There is nothing more pitiful than lukewarm, mushy falafel. The pickled stuff that goes on the side with some hummus and hot sauce makes this a true winner. The double dipped fries are also pretty good(not sure what makes them double dipped). For the fries I usually tack on a sprinkling of garlic and feta to make it a real breath killer although they do charge you an additional $ 1 for each addition. Since it is a food truck, its pretty much al fresco dining with some picnic tables to sit on. Check them out!

I only tried the Garlic Double-Dropped Fries, but they were pretty good. It says they are fried up twice, but didn’t really seem like it to me; they weren’t that crispy, unless they aren’t really supposed to be. But it had tons of garlic! Love garlic, but wow, I smelled like garlic for two days. The garlic was so strong, it actually burned my tongue. I brushed my teeth after, ate mints all day, but my mouth still tasted like garlic. Even the next day, I felt like garlic was coming out of my pores at work. Good garlic fries, but make sure you don’t have to work with people after.

Fantastic food. The entire meal was top quality from the high quality meat in the pita bread to the amazing double fried french fries that had a perfect spice and crisp texture. Thank you for a quality lunch and for supporting the Magnolia rummage sale. Highly recommend this great food truck.

Was in the area for the Georgetown Carnival and been meaning to try this food trailer for a while now. My friend has been here before and she said it was good so we got in line. It was to be expected the line was going to be long during a carnival/festival but the crew/staff were working pretty hard to get the food cranked out. I tried their Falafel sandwich, very delicious! Moist falafel on the inside, nice and crispy crunchy on the outside, nice pita bread, plenty of tzatziki(sp) and a briney little pickle with lettuce and beets. One of the better falafels I’ve had around here and definitely worth getting again. A little messy but I dont mind it, makes it that much better. By request, they will make a vegan version too. About $ 8 for the sandwich, and a nice Vimto soda to wash it down(taste like Big Red) and I was good to go!!! I do like that their logo kinda looks like Danzig… hahaha! Nice!

Came back to Seattle late Sunday night and was not able to go grocery shopping and prepare my weekly food. But, I take it as an opportunity to try the food truck at work. They saw me and asked me if I liked meat. And, I said yes. I got shewarma with beef and lamb. It’s loaded with meat!!! As I try to practice low carb diet, this is perfect. Meat was well seasoned and roasted and the sauce was delicious.

Their Georgetown food truck is generally there, I don’t believe I have ever driven past it and not see it there. They are only opened for lunch though and have a small parking lot. Today I ordered the shawarma salad. The shawarma salad comes with beets, hummus, tzatziki sauce and a pickle. The leafy greens are cabbage and spinach. The beets are really good and slightly sweet. The hummus and tzatziki sauce combined makes for a really creamy dressing for the greens. There was a good amount of shawarma. The shawarma was pretty good, it had a small kick to it but that doesn’t bother me. The staff here is super friendly. Food comes out fairly quickly making it a good lunch spot for on the go.

Pretty good falafel! It was very nicely seasoned with a hint of spiciness. The greens were simple; the hummus was standard, and the Armenian pickle was a nice addition. I greatly appreciate how easily the truck makes the wrap vegan by taking out the dairy ingredients and using hummus as the sauce instead. As others have said, $ 8 for just a wrap is very overpriced, especially considering this is a food truck without a mortgage or rent of a traditional brick and mortar restaurant. If a food truck cannot use this advantage to offer competitive pricing, they’ve lost half their reason for existing. The advantage they did deliver, however, was setting up shop outside Chuck’s Hopshop and delivering a really nice falafel sandwich that was a fully satisfying meal. You should try their falafel. I bet you’ll enjoy it.

I don’t think there is another falafel/shawarma place nearby so there’s that aspect to consider. I rarely get the falafel instead of the shwarma, and if you like meat you won’t either. However, the shawarma is delicious with a decent amount of meat and combo of beets and tzatziki. It is just enough for lunch, but at over $ 8 it is a bit expensive. Fries are ok, but get soggy if you aren’t eating them on site. They take cards(square) as well as cash. Good luck with parking though.

Picked up a falafel here and decided against the fries — doh! My friend grabbed a sandwich and fries for her bf — that we snacked on of course! Best fries I’ve had in awhile. I can’t even describe why they were so good — you’ll just have to take my word for it. The falafel had a good flavor and wasn’t at all dry. The pita was equally fresh and the tzaziki was just right. All in all a good choice. $ 8 seems a bit steep for what it is, but it was delicious so I didn’t mind too much. Next time I’m in the area I’ll grab another — and fries!

For me, the best food truck I’ve tried this year. They were parked at Microsoft today and finally got to try it. First, service was super fast and friendly(often food trucks are slower than you would expect). Then the falafel was just perfection — perfect texture, flavor, and crunch, great pita bread, filled with yummy pickles and relish. Easy to eat and flavorful, plus reasonably priced. I’m hoping the nearby cafeterias continue to be closed so Hallava Falafel can make a return!

Shwarma! Bring on the Shwarma! (And the Double Dropped Fries… but we will get to that later). I LOVE the Georgetown Location. I tell everyone I know about it. My friends are probably sick of hearing me talk about it… BUT… The staff is really great and they remember your face. Which is ALWAYS nice. I came here for the first time in Feb, and I my brain exploded. I had a Shwarma sandwich, and the kidlets and the co-horts of my party had a variety of Shwarma, Falafel and Fries. WEWERENOTDISAPPOINTED! We have been back 3 – 4 times since with great results every time. I have learned that I really like my Shwarma with extra pickles and no Sriracha. Like any good eats, you have to go back time and time again to establish the way that you like it. This place is so good! And the fries… I eat my weight in them every time! The regular fries have a pool of dip on each end, one is Tzatziki sauce and the other is Hummus. Who knew these would be so tasty?! The seasonings that they put on the fries is so good. You and me, Hallava Falafel… we are best friends. :p

Killer falafel! Different from a standard falafel in that is had a pickle on it and I believe pickled cabbage too… but MANWASITAWESOME! The falafel itself was spiced perfectly with a little extra salt to bring out the flavors. I added a few drops of Siracha to a few bites and it was a great complement. I didn’t try the fries, but by the looks of how many people were eating them I would say they are worth it.
