Grumpy Pie

WOW, what a little gem I’ve stumbled upon!
I wandered over to the strawberry sale at Seven Hills Park earlier today after seeing a tweet about how Grumpy Pies were going to be featured. After poking around a bit I found the pies and snagged one for the walk home.
First off, the card and logo are adorable, so bonus points for cuteness :)
The moment I bit into the mini strawberry rhubarb pie, I was in love! The buttery, flaky crust is downright ephemeral! The filling, although a bit sweeter than expected, is a good ratio for a mini pie (many bakeries tend to struggle with filling vs crust balancing in mini pies, I wonder why?!), and the pie is very portable and well crafted. What I like most about it is the fact that the edges of the crust FLAKE beautifully when you break it, so you get all of that wonderful crunchy goodness with the soft sweetness of the fruit.
I’m definitely going to seek these out in the future!

Grumpy Pie is amazing pie! I had the opportunity to enjoy the Roasted Pear, Brie, and Fennel pie with crust that was straight from heaven! This is no ordinary pie folks! This is unspeakably the most delectable epicurian moment I have ever had.
