Love this store. A great selection of cards and cool gifts, all of which are reasonably priced. There is usually a fun display in the storefront window. George also often features local artists, so if you are looking for something unique to decorate your home, be sure to check them out.

I want to love you, George, but I’ve come by three times during your posted business hours to find you closed and dark. You kinda remind me of the cool indie shops in Berlin that are only open one day a week for like three hours. Except the difference between them and you is that they stick to their short hours. That aside, George is the ace up my sleeve when holdays rear their ugly over-commercialized heads. I roll up on George, pick up a few clever hand-printed greeting cards and slap the hallmark logo the fu** off that holiday. Belie’ that.

Okay, their new posted hours are at least believable. 11AM-3PM Tuesday through Saturday(unless they are at City Hall).

When open, this place is great. I rarely see the place open except during events going on in Georgetown. I got a t-shirt there — the infamous one that says«Georgetown, it’s not just for hookers anymore.» I felt it was appropriate since I live in the neighborhood and many a friend has asked«Are there a lot of hookers down there?» Moving on… The place has lots of great cards, purses, and miscellaneous items — including the best post-it notes ever. I’d give them 5 stars if they were open more often!

Hey, I’m giving them 4 stars just for the t-shirt, «Georgetown, it’s not just for hookers anymore.» Fun, funky and friendly.

Underwhelmed. I saw the storefront a few weeks ago and I was bummed that it was closed and was sooo excited to finally go in tonight. Unfortunately their inventory reminded me of the selection you can find at just about any Fireworks in the mall. Not horrible, just nothing that compelled me to pull out my wallet.

Why 5 stars? For the location. Gutsy move putting a cool, funky gallery/boutique/gift shop in Georgetown. Plus the stuff in it is really, really, really cool. That might have been one«really» too many, but it’s close enough to spit on. In fact, you could probably find a spittoon here. I didn’t, but the stock changes all the time as artists find new things to make. Cards, coasters, sculptures(I think — who knows, they just look cool) door stoppers, prints, jewelry — everything is unique and one of a kind. Worth a drive to Georgetown any day. I plan to do most of my gift shopping here.

Four stars for this up and coming artist boutique adorable storefront in the ware/where?house district of Georgetown in South Seattle. Very cool shopkeepers/owners/artists. Cool cards, funky jewelry, framed art pieces and the like. There is a busy bakery/coffee house right next door so you can have reason to stop… BOTH places. Very good work ladies!
