Stopped in today with an old photo of mine that was matted to a size that didn’t fit any standard frames, and the staff here were very helpful and friendly. I was able to find exactly what I was looking for(a basic, black frame) and they cut the mat at no extra charge while I was in the store.

I recently discovered Frame Up Studios. Definitely love this place! There’s a huge variety of framing options that go beyond just the standard frame. Framing is affordable and high quality. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and the customer service is amazing.

I was here yesterday looking for three simple frames so I could give a few photos as gifts. The guy working was super friendly and helpful. I’ll probably go back soon for a custom frame or two. I’m glad a great frame shop like this is in my neighborhood! :)

After seeing the beautiful frame jobs on Frame Up’s website & displays, I was nervous that custom framing would cost an arm and a leg. They addressed my concern and gave me some lower-cost options. I was quite pleased with the result, which now hangs in my bedroom. I get to see Frame Up’s good work on a daily basis. Thanks!

Incredibly helpful and courteous. We came in just for some wire and moulding hooks and they talked through what we were hanging and made sure we knew how to do it right. All for $ 13.00 purchase. We plan to bring anything we want well framed to them. It was a true small town level of care and a great experience in a big city.

Frame Up Studio did an absolutely beautiful job on a large painting I had them frame. The staff is creative and has a wonderful sense of design. They were very patient with me and helped me select a frame that I never would have selected on my own. It’s a quality frame and their work was superb. Thank you!

I wanted to like this place, but the experience was not what I had in mind. I told the guy I wanted a simple frame to put my new piece in. I even saw one that was suitable for what I had, and instead I got all the reasons why it’s not ideal, it should have a specific mat, etc. It didn’t seem like he was interested in addressing any of the points I mentioned or heard what I was saying. And then when I made my decision to purchase, it was just awkward, like he didn’t agree… I did mention I thought this made me feel a little weird. I get that there are times you go someplace to get another person’s opinion, hopefully they are a professional. And then there are other times you just want what you want. Should have just waited and gone to MQF instead.

If you’re all about customer service, like I am, then this is your frame shop. Very friendly and helpful, a range of frame/price options and some prints. I spent too much because they were so nice, I had to reward them.

Talented framer Matt spent half an hour working with me to choose just the right framing solutions for two pieces of art I brought in. I also brought a frame of my own for one of the pieces — it was no problem at all, Matt was just as happy to spend time parsing that job even though it wasn’t going to fetch as much as a custom frame job. Aside from this kind of excellent customer service, I noticed they have a great selection of ready to go frames. It’s not the hugest selection I’ve seen, but it is well chosen. Just the good stuff. Some of the designs were unusual and not just the cookie cutter type frames you find at other places. Really great spot, I’m glad I went in!

These guys are great! They have a wide selection of frames and are happy to spend the time with you to pick out just the right one. The employees and the owner are skilled at their trade. Had great customer service every time I’ve been in. I’ve had several custom framing jobs in the last few months, and each one came out beautifully. Will be returning!

I went in today because they had some neat prints in the window display, and though I didn’t end up buying anything(no wall space, and it seems silly to start decorating the insides of closets), the guy there was SONICE. Not cheesy nice, not I’m trying to sell you stuff nice but I’ll talk about you when you leave nice, but genuine, helpful and friendly. If I clear up some wall space, I’ll be back– they have some awesome frames, cute cards and a lot of Seattle art. Yay!

I have been having my art framed at this shop for the last 20 years and just dropped off more work the other day. The store is primarily a frame shop now but the selection of frames and the quality of work is unsurpassable as always. The prices were less than what I was quoted at another shop for the same piece of art but you should know, if you frame something correctly, it is a lifetime investment and this is the place to have it treated just right. Love that it has been such a fixture in the Fremont neighborhood for so many years!

Reading all of these reviews from a couple years ago really breaks my heart. They are all true of how Frame Up used to be! I would stop in all the time for a new fun print or to get a gift for someone or just browse around! The last time I went in, though, it seemed like almost all of the gift/décor items they used to sell aren’t there anymore — it’s more just a straight up frame shop. I’ve no doubt they still do an excellent job of framing — I’m just not in the market for custom framing than for fun little gift items. I“m assuming the economy is to blame. Stupid economy.

After searching the city for a good place to go get a piece of art framed, and came across Frame Up Studio in Fremont. This quaint store, tucked in the«Center of the Universe» really has it all! Fun art, jewelry, gifts, and endless WALLS of frames to choose from. The staff was extremely helpful, and walked me through different framing options. I ended up going with just a simple classic black frame, but the different options were extremely tempting(just a little too pricy)! The shop had my framed art back to me in two weeks, and made sure that I liked the work they did before taking it out of the shop. Although it is on the pricier end of frame shops, it is worth it for the great work and service!

Fantastic store for unique gifts. I have never had anything framed here, so I can’t speak for that side of things but do come here when you can’t find a good gift. I spent over three hours roaming around Fremont last fall for the perfect gift to buy my best friend and thank goodness I ended up here at the end of my endeavor. I bought her an antique style button ring. It was copper with an old button on top and great small details. It looks better than it sounds. But it was perfect. Fits her personality and she adored it! They have many other fun trinkets too. So if you are at a loss… visit this place and I am sure you will find something fun.

We have gotten more than a few things framed here, more than a few pieces of art here — and also more than a few great gifts for friends & family here. Frame Up may be on the more expensive side(the missing 1 star is due to the $$$ you end up shelling out), but they know what they’re doing and they definitely do it RIGHT. Did I know what kind of frame would go best with my Okkervil River flyer? No way. Did I know what kind of glass? Did I need one of those damn matte things too? I didn’t know. And I didn’t need to know either — the fine folks at Frame Up gave me a few great suggestions, I chose one — and voila: we had a beautifully framed print within a week. In addition to the excellent framing job, they have tons and tons of really great stuff to look at and spend money on — like fancy martini glasses, kitschy greeting cards, crafty frames — jewelry and more. Plus, the staff is always friendly and helpful. And, bonus! They had some pretty excellent hot spiced cider and cookies out for the Fremont Pub & Shopping Crawl this year. :)

This is totally my ‘GOTO’ when I need to snag a quick bday/wedding/whatever gift. They really do have a little something for everyone. I always walk the store clockwise. They’ve always got great displays, set up by theme and color, and they really take the time to make everything look great! I love coming here because their price range varies dramatically and I’m always able to find something for anybody for any occasion. They carry some of the best greeting cards in all of ‘Frellard’- it’s true– and their candle/housewares/pretty stuff in general, is abundant. While they might be a bit pricey as far as framing goes, they’re on par with everyone else in this city who ‘gets it and does it right’. Spend a little more on a quality piece here; it’s totally worth the $. and buy a cute little something while you’re at it. They’ve always been nothing but nice(and helpful) in here.

You know how sometimes you get something in your head, and it just eats away at your soul until you do something about it? That happened to me around midnight last night when I realized I needed a Maxfield Parrish print above my couch. And yes, there are a lot of wonderful Parrish prints out there like: Daybreak Evening Shadows New Moon Ok, so there are a lot of Parrish prints I like, but I think Sunrise would work best over my couch. I came in assuming that I was going to place an order for this print but he was unable to because he didn’t know who owned the copyright. Fortunately, he called Innervisions( ) and they had it in stock. I love how a store will help you out by sending you somewhere else to get the product you want. There is a lot of really cool things in here and will definitely be a place I will check out when I am in Fremont. Zipzap Zubidy Bop!

I love this place! Yes, you can have your artwork framed here, but they also have tons of upscale gifts, cards, artwork, etc.

Very nice store if your looking to frame a very nice piece of artwork. Don’t attempt to take a cheesy Seahawks poster you paid $ 5 for and ask for a plastic frame… you’re in the wrong place buddy. Stop by and take a look on the first Friday of every month, as they are listed #1 on the Art Walk. Cheers!
