I could hang out here all day. They have everything I want and more. Their prices are great and service is awesome. The only downside for me, It’s a drive from Edmonds. So when I do come here, I load up my truck and haul it back home with tons of food in it. Actually, I don’t really have a truck I’m just saying… I get bombarded by the contents of this place with all kinds of food ideas I would love to cook – only if I have 30hrs in a day. It’s do-able. Anywho…great places for lots of ideas of cooking for the taking and I say, «real» home cooking that is. Check it out… This place gets super busy especially on a Saturday. Parking can be challenging too but be patient. Think of it as an excursion. It’ll be fun since they have cooked food and ready for grubs.

Yucky… a lot of the reviews seem old or more about the cheap prices. I went by lunch today & got some fresh fruit & a 2 combo plate. Pancit, chicken adobo, & vegetables(long beans, cabbage, onions, & carrots) i dont care how cheap it was, $ 6.50 i think. It wasnt good nor was it decent quality. The meat was the leftover chop pieces(mostly joints so barely any meat, but tons of cartilage) the vegetables were dried out or over cooked & black around the edges like they’ve been sitting out awhile before being cooked. the pancit was the only halfway decent tasting thing. Oh & to top it off, i found a piece of a steel kitchen scrub in my food. I may come back for cheap produce but the deli looked pretty dried out and or leftovers of dying produce they have to use up from the store.

I enjoy going here for my Filipino foods. Good veggie selection. Excellent deli foods. Parking can be tight, but there is additional parking across the street. If you go there during weekdays, parking is not an issue. Best of all is the staff is not racist, unlike seafood city.

Oh, the contempt I hold for this former gas station turned Asian market. Where do we begin? From the anxiety inducing parking lot that was clearly designed for cars no larger than a small golf cart, to the fact that the spaces are jammed into their tiny lot, often with overflow into the median on Beacon or in the back alley, it’s a wonder people can even get in. And because of the incredibly small footprint but astounding popularity of this place, it’s always packed with people. The smartest thing they did was have those tiny shopping carts to maneuver around the store. But the real purpose of my writing today is the god awful customer service that exists here. The cashiers here are flat out rude. Registers in the middle? What is this, Mecca? Where all the customers aimlessly ambulate around the registers to get their shopping done? But they have made blatent mistakes when ringing up my family members and myself on numerous occasions in the past. Charging you for a 50lb bag of rice but giving you the 25lb bag. And if you dare bring it to their attention, their answer is along the lines of «you need to bring it to our attention immediately! We’re not going to adjust it» I’ve worked retail, lady. Price adjustments aren’t hard. So yes, I will question your charges and look over my receipt before I go because you’ve set a precedent of mistakes in the past. And until you consistently ring up customers, namely my family or me, with accuracy, then this will continue. And then there’s the rest of the workers. The workers, namely Tina, who think they hung the moon with their produce stack. They’re vegetables, Tina. Calm down. Having the audacity to say to me, in front of everyone there, that«everytime YOU come here, you mess it all up!» «It» being the stacks. One, I put things back where they belong. Two, it’s produce. People are going to touch it, inspect it, and rifle thru various items to find what they want. If you don’t want that to happen, you’re working in the wrong field. Three, you’re lucky you work here. If this were a bigger market(Safeway, QFC, Fred Meyer, even the now defunct Viet Wah), they’d fire you in a heartbeat for treating a customer that way. Four, if you really don’t people touching your precious vegetables, then whoever is in charge of buying for this store needs to do a more thorough job of inspecting what comes in and rejecting orders that have damaged/bruised product. Because that makes its way to your precious pile. And THAT is why people have to go thru it by hand. Despite all this, my family and I will continue to reluctantly come here. Why? They do have the best prices on things I buy and are relatively close. Just don’t touch anything there. Ever. Don’t want to make the precious little flowers that work there upset that you touched something, even though you were going to give their store money for it, anyway. Develop the power to make things levitate into your cart or basket. That’s what they want.

Gotta love the fried squid heads! $ 15 for a lb! The price is a lot cheaper than viet wah and seafood city. This market is one of the OG Asian markets in Seattle :) the girl at the register is always nice and friendly and fast service! Finding parking is pain in the butt sometimes tho

I like the deli, they have good eggrolls and noodles, stir fry and the sandwiches. I mostly just hit up the hot deli area, I don’t venture too much in the store itself. Don’t forget the Asian diet tea it keeps you cleaned out!

They have almost anything you could need or want. But what I really like, want and need is the Vietnamese banhmi sandwiches. 2.25 for one is a steal, it’s not the most awesomest sandwich but for a buck twenty-five…it’s a steal!

For all of your Asian and Filipino grocery needs! They cater too! And reasonable pricing. Cheaper than ranch 99. Just wish it was closer to home. I honestly came here for turon. My sis and I were trying to find a banana que with more banana than durian and this was perfect! And only $ 1.25 ea.

I always come here with my mom to get our Asian groceries. It really makes my us happy knowing that they have clover chips, mangos, lumpia and much more stuff that they don’t regularly have at American groceries stores like Safeway. They have such good chicken!

My go to grocery store for filipino food. They have an awesome deli with lots of fried foods(tilapia, chicken, pork, squid, shrimp, etc.). They also have vietnamese sandwiches here. Small store but they have just about everything.

I came to Fou Lee because the Blue Scholars made a rap song about it, and I really like the Blue Scholars. The market isn’t bad either. I only tried the deli in the back. Filipino cuisine is actually one of the least familiar types of food for me, so I had no idea what to order. I had the combo 1, which includes two entrees and steamed rice. It’s a really good deal, as they give pretty decent sized portions, especially for the rice. The combo 2 costs a little bit more, but you have the option of getting noodles or fried rice instead of the steamed rice. I chose fried chicken, and another chicken entrée that I don’t know the title of. I would recommend going with someone who knows Filipino food, or just asking the guy behind the deli what he recommends. Regardless, the food was good, especially for the price. Overall: Fou Lee the song: 4⁄5 Fou Lee the market: … also 4⁄5

Nifty little greengrocer(and more) on Beacon Hill that caters to the local Asian community in general and the Filipino community in particular THEROSES: Excellent prices on produce; the Fou Lee Market beats the supermarkets, and quality seems good. Nice selection of other Asian products(sauces, hard to find canned goods & meats, etc. A little deli inside has a number of hot offerings for takeaway, including delicious Vietnamese Bahn Mi sandwiches. Another product that makes them worth the trip is their house brand(made in house?) longanisa sausage; it is superior to the stuff you get in the freezer section of other Asian grocery stores, and isn’t shot full of Red Dye #whatever. THETHORNS: Sometimes the selection is a bit limited, and you may not find what you’re looking for. Today, for example, they didn’t have grapes. Small parking lot can be a bit dodgy to get into if you’re coming from eastbound Columbian Way. On busy days, they have a fellow directing traffic in the parking lot, so that helps. THEVERDICT: Reasonably good selection and great prices balance out it’s small size, occasional selection issues and parking/entry issues. By all means go check them out!

I have worked on Beacon Hill for 2 years and never knew this market was here. It is something you would drive by a million times and question the quality just based on the looks of the building. I stopped because of, the sign for Vietnamese sandwiches. When you go in it is small, but opens up to a big market. They have tons of hot, fresh, Asian lunch food to go. It was hard to choose. Got 2 entrees and tasty rice noodles for $ 7. Vietnamese sandwiches are $ 2.50. They have lumpias and all sorts of other hot food.

Great ethnic grocery in the Beacon Hill area for SE Asian and Filipino products. You can also get some prepared food including fried whole tilapia, squid, fried mixed veggies, pancit noodles, etc. The vegetables and herbs always seem to be more fresh than surrounding groceries. The parking situation is a nightmare. They tried to fit as many stalls in as possible which makes getting in and out lot difficult if you have anything larger than a small sedan or smart car. Last time I was there, there was a woman just loitering and waiting to beg every shopper that came out of the store. Also, their cash register… It’s in the middle of the store and not really a place to stand in line. It can just get chaotic, especially on the weekend when everyone is shopping and stocking up.

Probably one of my favoritest Asian food markets in the entire PNW. They have plenty of fresh asian veggies and canned goods. They have lots of different meats and seafood. They have plenty of Filipino goods, as well as Vietnamese and Thai. The hidden gem is their hot deli. I would be a 100lbs more if I lived closer to this place. I always get the deep fried squid and some vietnamese sandwiches to go. On some days, they have specials closer to closing time, when they’re trying to get rid of inventory. They also do lechon(roasted pig) on special order.

Alll things fried and fillipino under $ 10? You got my vote! I discovered this place last year when I was looking for filipino food. I’ve been to a few in the area and then some. But the menu at this place drew me in. It’s all about seafood here. And boy oh boy they were yummmmmmy. First and foremost, this place is a grocery store with a kick ass deli! You’ll be greeted by fresh produce, canned food, sweets and all that good stuff on your way to that deli. I have picked up a few things here like fresh pepers and cucumbers etc. But haven’t had a chance to really shop anything besides their deli food. It;s out of the way from my house but I keep coming back because well, it is pretty darn good. Food — Fried fish, fried prawns, friend whole tilapia, fried chicken, pancit, adobo, kare kare, crispy pata, sinigang. A small box of any fried fish will run you around $ 5 and less. Whole fried tilapia is around $ 4.99, pompano around $ 6. There are a ton of fried delectable things to choose from. They also have skewers of grilled meat, grilled fish and other yummy things along side that tiny deli. I normally get a box of fried prawns, box of small fish, fried chicken, 2 whole tilapia, pancit and grilled meat for under $ 25! At most around $ 30! Talk about a steal. Holy seafood batman! I can eat that for days! So tasty, crunchy, crispy and delicious. I’m eating some as I write this. Nom nom nom. Bottom line– it’s a no mess, no fuss, tasty tasty good food! You get in, you get your food and you get out! It’s a small grocery store with small deli. Service is fast. Not friendly or angry. Just fast! It’s no picnic with sunshine and lollipops. But they know how to cook their seafood! Oh and 4 pm seems to be their prime time. Lines out the door for all that fresh food. You’ve been warned.

I love this place for the filipino snacks and drinks. Just like home. They also sell deli foods such as tilapia, baboy and squid heads which are super good and chicken gizzards and possibly one of the best chicken wings. So good. They have asian sauces, ice creams and veggies here. They sell spring rolls, steamed peanuts, and desserts are delivered fresh every day such as karioka, turon and bilo bilo… Ah, it’s making me hungry as I talk about it. The only down side to this place is the space. It gets super crowded and annoying with people squeezing past one another and such. Overall, I don’t go here too often because of that reason, unless I have a really big crave for something and my parents don’t bring it to me. haha. Things are pretty cheap here, aside from the small drink bottles.

A great place for all your Filipino groceries needs. They have Asian veggies and fruit, which are of better quality than the big SC in Tukwila, tons of different variety of noodles, sauces and seasonings, fresh meats and seafood and bakery items from Goldilocks, Delite and Jonee Bakery. The prices are low here. If you don’t have time to cook, the deli specializes in Filipino dishes and they also do party trays. Last Thanksgiving I ended up ordering some puto, kutchinta, carioca, empanadas, chicken wings and fried smelt to supplement the few dishes I was cooking. You can order lechon here too. Feeling nostalgic? They sell sundries that you find from the PI such as papaya soap, Eskinol, Johnson’s Baby Cologne and Sun Silk shampoo, and cookware and brooms. The cashiers are friendly and parking is terrible. I love it here. 19⁄30

If you think parking in the ID is stressful, then you haven’t been to Fou Lee Market! Take me at my word when I tell you that you will always want to be taking a right turn into this place. Otherwise, you will hover in a non-turn lane so long, the market will become an Italian restaurant called ‘The Four Leeks’. This is my favorite Filipino market – not only because it’s close to my house. If you somehow finagle your way into a parking spot that isn’t already triple-parked by a single mini-van, you’ll find some pretty interesting Filipino and other Asian foods here. Inexpensive treats inside kitty and panda-shaped containers yay! You can also find some good Uwaji’s-style produce here without the mark-up. The best part for me is the hot deli case. They have inexpensive veggie pancit(has egg in it), crisp-steamed long beans with veggies and tofu YUM, crispy, non-greasy garlic chicken wings, whole fried fish, prawns, fat back, cheap banh mi, etc. When I’m in a jam, and need something«potluck-y» Fou Lee is my now-not-so-secret place to pick up noms if I don’t have time to cook. The service isn’t warm/unfriendly/angry/happy/quick/slow. It’s just… service. Be assertive to get into line to pay when it’s busy – don’t let no moss grow on that rollin’ stone, k? Because tiny, elderly women will bowl you over in no time.
