Love their happy hour! I paid just $ 5 for a pollo torta and it was giant! And they actually still provide free chips and salsa. We also ordered shrimp in sauce with mexican rice and salad. It was delicious. Don’t forget to order churros! We had strawberry filled ones and they were yummm!

Absolutely Delicious! We had the«queso fundido», the«pollo a la crema», and the«tacos al carbón». Nothing left in our plates Mmmm. The refried beans were one of the best I’ve had in a while. We also had the«Ultimate margarita» which was good. Stay AWAY from the«sangria»!!! Not good at all. But granted is a Mexican restaurant not a Spanish one so it’s definitely my fault not theirs. Will definitely come back here again.

After being in Seattle for three days finally found a good not only Mexican restaurant but overall good good restaurant. We came here because of their happy hour and it did not disappoint we are from the Bay Area CA and by far one of the best restaurants and generally that I’ve been to. Of course like any restaurant has good and bad only bad thing about this place was the hostess, not that she was bad one is just that when we were saying thank you she would just shake her head just a little detail not a big deal doesn’t matter to me she was only my host not my waitress

What a great happy hour! Delicious + strong margs… you get the whole shaker for $ 8. I can’t remember what exactly we ordered off the menu, but it was all delish. My only regret is not ordering the ceviche!

Cannot get enough of this place. Always has a fun vibe and a great happy hour spot. The nachos, tacos, ceviche, flautas are all amazing. In fact all the food here is great and no one I know has ever been disappointed. GETYOURSELF A SANGRIA. Two glasses of these and you’ll be happier than you’ve been in a while I promise.

Great place to get a meal on the Capitol Hill! The staff is always very nice. The food is really good. The atmosphere is always great. The bar always has sports on, soccer whenever possible, it’s great. Good place to go with a family or as a date night.

Went here for lunch– trendy place right in Capital Hill, and had a great experience! We were seated right away and were given tostadas as appetizers on the house! They were really tasty with a nice crunch and fresh greens. One person in our group got the street tacos and I got the enchiladas de jaiba. Both of us loved the food! The food was all tasty, in large portions, and overall was just excellent. And to top it all off, everything was very reasonably priced! Overall, great price for a lot of great food in a trendy Seattle neighborhood. Would definitely go back again!

Yum. So glad that my friend brought me here the food was delicious the prices seemed fair and my drink, a Margarita, was exactly what I needed on a hot day in July. The staff was very attentive and our food came out in a reasonable amount of time. I’ve already returned twice with another friend and I’ve had very good experiences each time.

We have just been going around Seattle checking out the restaurants since we moved here from TN a few weeks ago. This was the first Mexican restaurant we have tried. I have to say it was pretty great. We checked in about 6:30 on Saturday, and I will say the crowd seemed much more bar like. So I don’t know if I would bring kids at this particular time. The service was alright. The waitress seemed a bit overwhelmed so was not at the table(or even in sight) very often. But was pleasant and helpful when she was. The food was great. I had the enchilada Rojas and my friend has chicken quesadilla. Both were some of the best Mexican we had in a while. If you’re looking for a casual place to get some delicious Mexican, and don’t mind a bit of noise and clamor, check it out. It was definitely worth the $ 35

Went here for 9pm happy hour with friends. Took a 30 min wait but they take your phone number and text you when your table is ready. This was extremely helpful so we hopped across the street to Linda’s first for a drink At Fogon we all ordered margaritas. I got the Bartender’s Margarita which changes every day. It had a smokey fruity flavor. All my other friends got these huge Ultimate Margs which are the traditional flavor. Good bang for your buck for $ 8. Us 5’0 asian girls were feeling the power of tequila. Food wise all the happy Hour food is $ 5 a really good deal. Nothing with any wow factor. My ceviche was pretty underwhelming and definitely needed more like. I thought the shrimp in it was overcooked. The chicken tortilla soup is a really good deal. Tasty broth and a huge bowl. Every person gets a free crispy tortilla with beans and lettuce on it to start plus a free bowl of chips and salsa.

5! 5! High five for this place! :) My brother, my gentleman and myself came here after we spent some time overlooking the city at the Columbia tower. My significant other just found this place on Unilocal. We wanted somewhere to eat close by the tower and that’s not closed. Surprisingly to us, a lot of restaurants were closed at an earlier time. Found our way here and we love Mexican food anyways! Very loud inside which is nice and laid back. I love it. We ordered the Trio salsa with chips. My gentleman and I ordered the same dish which is chicken street tacos. The street tacos were SCRUMPTIOUS! AGAIN, happy with another good choice of restaurant here in Seattle. I LOVETHISPLACE! I love the street tacos. What a blessed dinner! My brother ordered an enchilada dish but I can’t recall what it’s called. I remember it had chicken on top of a salad which looked very good and he loved his dinner dish as well! We are so happy we dined in this place for dinner! If I’m in Seattle ever again in the near future. I would need to stop by here again.

One of the best late night food Happy Hours I’ve seen in Seattle. Went in on a busy Friday night around 10 pm. The place was bustling and we had to wait for 10 – 15 mins to get a table. It’s happened almost every time I’ve been there, so I had expected it. Just seeing such a full place makes you think that’s a good place. There is a waiting area near the entrance, which is good since it was cold outside. You can see them making fresh tortillas there. The ambiance is nice and friendly. The place is dimly lit and tastefully decorated. However, due to the popularity of the place, it does get a bit noisy and loud, specially with people getting food and drinks before hitting the cap hill bars. So i’s not exactly a place for a quiet dinner date at that time. During the week, it’s different, but not on weekend nights. Once seated, our server got our waters and answered our questions well. Our drinks and food arrived soon after the order was taken, even though the place was full to the brim, and people waiting to be seated. They know how to handle a crowd. A+ for service. They had complimentary tostadas that night for everyone, which is a first I’ve seen there. The happy hour menu, though limited, is pretty good, and so cheap. We got an assortment of small plates. The queseadilla and guac was really good, but the salsa and the flautas were ok. Not bad, but just ok. The margaritas were really delicious, but I was disappointed with the sangria. It was served in a pint glass, and was full of ice. The flavor of the fruit didn’t come out. This is one of the better casual but classy mexican restaurants I’ve seen around Seattle. I would recommend this to anyone who’s going to cap hill and needs a late-night bite.

I love this place! I sometimes work late, and am always on the lookout for a good deal on a «late night» happy hour, which Fogon offers from 9pm — 11pm on weeknights. Fogon has a friendly vibe, right when you walk in. I like the fact that their bar area is well separated from the dining room. One of my pet peeves is when bar noise overwhelms a dining room seating area, when you are trying to have a relaxing dinner date with good conversation. So, I will definitely be back to eat dinner here sometime! For happy hour though, we sat in the bar, which was perfect and fun. Right away, instead of chips and salsa, they served us a complimentary small, crispy tostada with beans, cheese and cabbage. Delicious and just enough to take the edge of your hunger without filling you up like chowing down on a huge basket of chips. They do offer complimentary chips and salsa as well, but on request only. I’m not a big cocktail person, but I do occasionally like trying an unusual-sounding drink, especially at happy hour prices. So, I ordered the tamarind margarita. I will note that our server told me that all of their margaritas are handmade with fresh ingredients, and they don’t even offer any blended margaritas. The tamarind version was delicious. Not too sweet, and the tamarind flavor masked the liquor flavor, which I actually really liked! I ordered a crispy quesadilla off the happy hour menu. Again, delicious, and very good portion size for the price. My spouse got the chile relleno, and she really enjoyed it. It’s very spicy. So far this is the best Mexican food and nicest casual environment I have found on the Hill.

My SO is Mexican and so is my sister-in-law… And I must say the food is SSOOOOOGOOOD… We’re from LA/Orange County, cook our own Mexican food, have had traditional Mexican food from Mexico and this, although is not truly authentic as in your hole-in-the-wall Mexican establishments you find in SoCal, it is very flavorful and very good. My SO had the red enchiladas and I had the Al Pastor tacos. Enchiladas were great, the portions were just the right size, it comes with a good size carne Asada steak two small enchiladas. I appreciate that the plate wasn’t swimming in sauce, beans and rice like traditional Mexican plates which are way too heavy on our stomachs. The al pastor didn’t have the spicy kick I usually expect from the traditional Mexican al pastor but it was still flavorful and Very good. I love the salsa and the appetizer mini bean, cabbage tostada/sopa they hand out after you order. Good way to start the meal!!! Love the fresh tortillas! Yum! I would definitely recommend you stop by even if it’s a little out of the way and I would definitely come back if we’re in the area!

Here’s all you need to know 1) Go for happy hour. Their drinks are strong, cheap and high quality. 2) Service is great. One of the friendlier staffs in Seattle 3) I’ve eaten here 5 times and every time I got something different — all their food is great(relative to Seattle Mexican food scene) 4) Their guacamole is awesome! The 4⁄5 is for the ambiance. They could work on making it more lively given the location. Maybe add windows that open, extend patio?

went here for happy hour with two friends, and wow — color me impressed! The food was amazing, and totally generous servings on the HH menu. I had the ceviche and some bites of the tacos asado pollo. YUM. so good! Also got the ultimate margarita — spicy! comes in the shaker which makes you feel like you’re having three drinks! Remember: happy hour foods are dine in only, so be careful what you order. You can’t take home the leftovers. I’ll be back! So good!

Great choice for good Mexican fare. Simple traditional dishes that are well executed and altered to local preferences(some lunch combos come with a beer — I love that!). Food and drinks: 4⁄5: Chips with 3 salsa trio — great fresh fried chips and homemade salsas. The green salsa was nice and tangy, but missing the depth that roasting the tomatillos would add. Pico de gallo was good, needed a little fresh cilantro added as the pickled cabbage and cilantro tend to brown, the red salsa was good with not too much heat. Why spend so much time on chips and salsa? Because you can tell everything about a Mexican restaurant from this. :) Torta and soup combo was tasty and filling. The carne asada was flavorful and well cooked. Loved the Ultimate margarita — not too sweet with just the right amount of acidity. Service: 4⁄5 Friendly and efficient. They shouldn’t have the bartender serve the two tables in no man’s land between bar and restaurant seating — it’s a little too far away for them to be able to do it all.

10 stars!!! This place was amazeballs!!! Went last night, which was a Friday night. Totally expected to wait forever, but we had just enough time to go to the bar and get a drink before we were sat! Instead of the customary chips & salsa upon arrival, Fogon gives a fresh crispy tortilla topped with beans, lettuce and sour cream. A mini tostada if you will. I don’t do lettuce, but once I scraped that off… It was good. Their fresh tortillas are on point, and totally made the dish! We got the queso with Carne Asada as our appetizer. When it came out, it didn’t look like any queso I’ve ever seen. But let me tell you it was a pleasant surprise. They mix Monterrey cheese, with corn and Carne Asada(or any other meat you choose!) And it doesn’t come with the standard boring chips; instead, freshly made tortillas. OH.MY.GOD. Seriously amazing. Amazing. Amazing. Amazing!!! My friend and I took a while to come to a decision of what to order. Everything sounded so good! I was browsing through the food pics on Unilocal to help me decide! My friend ordered what is my «go to» at a Mexican restaurant, enchiladas. It comes with potatoes? Weird, I know but soooo good! Also, rice and beans. I had to get a different dish so we could try each others dinners. I got the Carne Asada burrito. Since I’m picky I got only whole beans, rice and Carne Asada. The thing was massive! I can’t imagine how big it would’ve been had I got it with everything. Probably as big around as a thigh! Ha! It was so good. Could not believe I ate the whole thing. We were both so impressed with Fogon! The service was great and the food was amazing. I can not say enough good things about Fogon. Give this place a try, you will NOT be disappointed! Great food at great prices & downtown?! It’s crazy! GOEATHERE! Seriously. Get in your car now and go!

Some of the best Mexican food I’ve had in the Seattle area. It’s not that great compared to LA but it satisfies my cravings. The location and the HH make this place one of my favorite places to eat in capitol hill. It’s cool to see that they hand make their tortillas. Their Happy Hour is on point, they also have a daily drink special which is cool. Makes it easier for people who get bored of drinking the same things!

You walk in and there’s a nice lady making fresh tortillas to the left and you’re immediately greeted and seated by the host. The ambiance is not your average, cheesily decorated Mexican food restaurant but very laid back and lax. Very capital hilly. Which isn’t a bad thing! We always like to start with guac. The guacamole here is tasty, fresh! And not too salty or garlicky and in my opinion the perfect consistency! I like it pasty while still being chunky. The chips come out hot and really thick! Which is nice if you’re into that sort of thing. My boyfriends normal order is the pollo a la crema! And for good reason, it’s fricking delicious! That too always comes out super hot and packed with flavor without being too salty! It’s chicken with mushrooms and bell peppers all smothered in a fantastic cream sauce! That mixed with the rice and beans is just divine! Probably my favorite thing on their menu thus far. We’ve tried a few other things on their menu; ceviche, stuffed peppers, tacos, etc. all good but not as great as ^^ pollo a la crema! I suppose it depends what mood you’re in, so if you’re in the mood for creamy and delicious– try the creamy chicken! Ps– their happy hour is awesome too!

Get the«torta pollo asado», and thank me later. I’m from California, so probably the second best Mexican food, next to Mexico. It’s been hard to find good tasty Mexican food in WA. I’ve found it in Fogon, and I am so happy I did!!! The HH is amaze-balls. It’s everyday 3pm-6pm and 9pm to close. Just go… Stop deciding and just go.

Cool spot for some good Mexican food and crazy margarita mixes. They start you out with a FREE veggie tostada instead of chips but it’s really good. I got the carne asada tacos which were delicious but lacking quality to justify $ 13 for a plate of 2 tacos. Delicious however. Margaritas range from $ 8 – 20 and have $ 2 off Mondays.

Came here for dinner the other night with a friend and we decided to sit at the bar. Nice looking place, clean, comfortable, good amount of tables for small groups or larger groups. Nice little tortilla grill up front with a lady making fresh tortillas. Bartender was friendly, helpful and personable to chat with. Complimentary tostada was given to each of us. WOW! thanks! It was good and we were eager to check out their menu. We decided to get some chips & guac to start off, chips are freshly made, guac was wonderful with huge chunks of avocado in the bowl. It seems like they just cut the avocado and served it, very fresh and tasty! After a while of filling up on chips, we actually weren’t that hungry anymore and decided to share a entrée. We got the Chile Colorado that was approved by the bartender as delicious… so we took his advice. He was right, nice chunks of stewed beef with red sauce, onions and peppers. Served with rice & beans and some tortillas, we were good to go. Not overly spicy, but very flavorful and would definitely get it again. I was such in a chill mode, I forgot to take a photo of it. Nice atmosphere, service was fine, real casual, nice looking menu, delicious Mexican food, and a place I would come hang out at.
