The service is phenomenal! Brody the bartender took excellent care of us. Very attentive, friendly and approachable. Food was pretty good! Spicy hot wings hit the spot for a late night snack. Enjoyed the atmosphere and recommend for late night visits and great service.

Wells Wednesday. Nice service. Bartenders were very attentive. Doorman recognized me and was very kind. Lots of wet tables and slippery floors, but the cheap drinks made up for that. Great dance music. Overall fun place to go.

I used to be a regular here on Sundays until I moved to Lynnwood a year and a half ago. Had no idea that they changed their happy hour from half off your tab to only doing it on drinks and pizza. I’m super bummed out because I was looking forward to having my Mac and cheese and meatloaf… now I’m stuck eating appetizers. Service is still great though. Just as I remembered it, I just have to get used to not having my favorites anymore…

$ 1 wells drink in Wednesday night at 11! Enough said. College bar — lots of space in the back, music(DJs playing), and dancing! What more can you ask for?

A standard, solid place to get drinks(and possibly trashed) in the u-district. Prices are reasonable at night, especially during their cheap wells nights. I recommend not coming here during the day though, as it is quite vacant, and you should definately check your receipt, because we got totally overcharged for a couple of shots of jamesson!

Pretty standard inside. Was a decent spot to grab a few beverages before the game. Prices were reasonable and the selection was good. The staff did a great job during a busy period.

Grabbed a bite to eat and a drink with a friend here in the middle of the week after work. The place was pretty empty. The happy hour menu is not bad with a variety of appetizers you can try. We tried the nachos and it was just OK. If you are looking for place with plenty of empty tables and chairs to hang out after work this is the place, but maybe try something other than the nachos.

Interesting little joint. Loud, and definitely a college bar. Lots of space in the back. Drinks are reasonably priced($ 6 a pint of Guinness) and bartenders and door staff are friendly. There’s a stage as well for karaōke, or random people dancing. All in all a meh bar. In a relatively high-foot trafficked area so finding an Über/Lyft/taxi isn’t difficult at the end of the night.

My last post was mysteriously deleted, but I will gladly take the time to post another. I go to this bar before and after every Husky game. This last week they were closed before the game and after the game I was served by an extremely rude server who preferred to watch another football game instead of do her job. The beer was warm and flat and the wings weren’t cooked. I will not be back again this season.

Great food and drinks for sooooooo cheap on Sunday’s! My boyfriend and I frequent this place on sundays because everything in their menu was half off! We got the starburst drink, the mac and jacks, the BLTA, and the burger all for $ 18. Not too shabby. My only complaint is that the service is terribly slow. It took us 15 minutes to get our drinks and almost 30 minutes to get our food. There wasn’t many people there and I think they were two waiters. They were nice and friendly, but I wish they were able to walk around more to our table. The water here has remnants of alcohol in there, but it’s fine.

I got up to go to the bathroom with just over half my pint done, and when I came back there was nothing at my seat. They had taken away the remainder of the drink that was there, and they were not even very busy at the time. I had one of the seats at the bar and they did this anyway. This is apparently how they do business and I do not appreciate it. Other bars on the ave would not have done this. I will not be returning to Finn’s if they’re going to do this to patrons. And this happened on 03/27/2015 in case you’re wondering. Their service is bad until this date ATLEAST.

This is a shitty bar for college kids. If you are older than 21, avoid this place. Friday night atmosphere: people playing pool in the back. Lots of people in the front. Fight your way to the bar to order anything. The bartender acts likes you are causing an inconvenience. If you are looking for a friendly bartender, waitress, bouncer, or staff you won’t find them here. The bouncer proceeded to bend my out of state license to determine it’s validity. The waitress ignored me when I told her I wanted to order food. The bartender doesn’t know how to pour a beer without head. This place sucks. Let’s see how the food is.

They run their business in a way I don’t respect. After seeing their«wells wednesdays» drink special was $ 1 wells and certain beers until 9pm, I arrived at the bar at 8:35. I ordered a well drink at 8:42, and was charged $ 2.25. When I asked why, I was told«bar time says it’s 9:10.» I took my phone out of my pocket, showed the bartender that the time was indeed 8:42. I then referenced the television program, which had the time in the corner at 8:43. It was not 9:10, but because they had set up an arbitrary analog clock on the wall with an incorrect time, they claimed«we go by bar time». Personally, I think this is an incredibly unethical business practice. You’re lying to your customers. You’re falsely advertising. You’re being an asshole. Finn MacCool’s does not decide what time it is on pacific standard time. That’s not how things work. I will not be back.

Poser irish pub. First off I will say it’s not a bad place to hang out with your friends for some bar food and drinks. Now this is not a real irish pub to come to for authentic irish food. I ordered the Shepard pie which should be called cottage pie as it doesn’t have lamb, it has beef. I regretted ordering it being that it was not very good at all. There is not one single lamb dish on the menu an authentic irish pub should have lamb cooked in Shepard pie, some colcannon, and lamb chops, and they even have lasagna on the menu. Just because you have guiness on tap and Irish whiskey it does not make you an Irish pub. The appetizers, coconut shrimp and insalata caprese(irish?) were very good though. So come for the pub fare don’t come for the so called irish food.

Finn’s is a UW staple. Seriously, if you went to UW and never went to Finn’s, that’s just wrong and criminal. I’m pretty sure I went to 95% of Well Wednesdays during my Senior year, and there ain’t no shame in that(Um, can you pass up $ 1 well drinks? Didn’t think so). If you go for Well Wednesdays, go early around 7:45 ish, grab a table, have someone in your group hold the fort down then get yourself a dollar drink. Or three. On Thursdays there’s some really entertaining Karaōke thanks to your local inebriated undergrads, and I’m pretty sure that’s also«Ladies’ Night» so girls get $ 2 well drinks til 10 or something like that. Their tacos on Taco Tuesdays are also only $ 2 and surprisingly decent.

I go here more often than I care to admit. The drinks are cheap, especially at happy hour. They can accommodate a large group, at least spatially. The service leaves a lot to be desired, but a $ 5 shot and PBR special can soothe a lot of ruffled feathers if you know what I mean. Also happy hour appetizers = dinner. The last time I was there someone dropped a ramekin of BBQ sauce on my coat and I smelled delicious all the way home.

This is a easy going college bar where my classmates and I frequent after classes or for various events. It’s not a dive bar but also isn’t a trendy, hipstery place. You’ll see old timers at the bar, but there are darts in the back with plenty of tables. The tots are just what you remember from school lunches and probably tastier because now you’re drinking while eating them. Finn’s has a good beer selection with some rotating taps. A full bar menu of which I’ve never heard any complaints. The prices aren’t too bad and you can get a pitcher of cheap beer for around $ 11. The waiters and bartenders are always super friendly, as well. Finn’s is exactly what you’d expect for a college bar. A friendly, easy going place where you can gather with a few or many friends for affordable eats and drinks.

There was a sign outside that said $ 6 bloody mary’s and $ 5 mimosas. So my hubby and I went in and got just that. Apparently it wasn’t until happy hour(and my husband insisted that the sign did not specify just during happy hour), and apparently it was much more than that. Much more. And my mimosa didn’t even taste like it had any alcohol in it. I swear it was just OJ. And I had no buzz. I’m a light weight and am usually drunk off of one mimosa. Usually… And I tasted his Bloody Mary. I’ve only recently started tasting Bloody Mary’s when my husband orders them and they’re always so yummy. This one was disgusting. Blech. It tasted metallic or something wrong. Anyway, we didn’t get food because we just ate at the U-District street fair. The staff was nice. It wasn’t crowded at the time(around 1ish). And we brought our doggy in with us. Doubt I’d ever come back.
