Molly and Jon are wonderful people who know their stuff and a run a great business. We have a had a range of different paintings and pictures framed here and they’ve helped us find the perfect frame every time. They always make us feel like they care about getting the right frame for each of our paintings. They’re also sensitive about cost, and give us solid advice on what would be the right option(museum glass for expensive paintings, matting or no matting depending on the type of picture). I highly, highly recommend them!

My husband and I have been getting things framed here for years, since well before John and Molly even moved to the new location, and we’ve always been happy with the work, the service, and everything else about the experience. Fast Frame is the ONLY place to get things framed this side of the ship canal bridge. :)

Molly is my fairy framing godmother. She did for me what no other corporate store in town could do with a jaw dropping turnaround. Competitive price, great selection, fast service, and most of all… that feeling you get when you support an excellent local business.

I came to this place to order 4 frames for oil painting for my store. I was hurry for the frames for the grand opening and I really appreciate what they did for me, they finished them earlier than the picking up time and of course the quality is great !.They also gave me discount for my 4 frames, it’s nice! I highly recommend this place!

The framing of our piece was done very well, however, the store had a major flub when it came to delivery of the completed item. They had scheduled a 2pm delivery with us(their suggested time) a week prior. The day of the delivery, I called at 1pm to confirm the delivery before heading home from work. 2pm went by with nothing, so did 3pm. At 3:10, I called the store, and they indicated that they were finding out where the truck was and that they would likely get me the item by 4pm, 2 hours after the confirmed time. Almost got it right, but majorly missed on the delivery(I don’t think I would have gotten it if I hadn’t called). This degree of unreliability should make people question other commitments by the staff.

I stopped in to get an estimate and some advice for framing a kindergarten auction project and the owners and staff were amazingly helpful. They helped me plan the layout and put up with me stopping in and pestering them with questions(it’s next to where my daughter take art class so I have time to kill) each week. They knew we were on a budget and helped me pick out some beautiful framing that was less expensive but didn’t look it. They also gave me an amazing discount without even asking because they knew it was for a local public school auction. I highly suggest letting them help pick out frames, I would have gone a completely different direction, but they really know what they are doing and have a talent for it. They finished the project for me in less than a day(hence the name I suppose)! Then…there was a tragic accident with one of the frames two days before the auction,(!!) I hung it on the wall to take a picture for the auction catalog and it fell and chipped the frame in several places. I called them in a panic and the owner was SO nice and told me they’d fix it in time and not to worry. I brought it in and they rushed it to the back room and had it ready the next day… FREEOFCHARGE! They said not to worry about it, they were happy to help! HOLYCOW! How often does that happen!!! I was so excited that I’ve been telling EVERYONE and am looking throughout my house to see what else I can have framed. Oh, and… they do amazing work! The two auction projects sold for over $ 1000 dollars and looked like a million. They also gave the school coupons for $ 25 off framing. Use them! They are a great family owned local business that cares about their customers and community.

Molly has been doing my framing for almost 3 years now. She’s creative and comes up with some great ideas for my photos and artwork.

Molly, John and Heather are wonderful and warm people. My first instinct was that I’d have an amazing experience and wouldn’t have any issues. One of the greatest challenges any service business has is managing expectations. Molly & Co. get 5 stars for being friendly, but a negative gagillion for service. My wife and I purchased some new art recently, and decided to better protect some of the existing stuff we own. I brought the first batch of art down(4÷26÷2010), 4 pieces, and Molly was very easy to work with and came up with some very creative ideas. Unfortunately she’s not a good note taker, so many of our changes and ideas didn’t make it to the final product. Examples include covering up the artist signature as well as using the wrong color matte on two of my most prized original pieces by Shepard Fairey. Even thought they still weren’t done with the first 4, I brought in 8 more pieces(05/08/2010). She quoted me and gave me a pickup date of Saturday(05/15/2010). I came back on the following Tuesday(05/18/2010) to find that none of those pieces had been done or even started. Heather was minding the shop while Molly and John were on Vacation. Vacation? That’s great, but how about a freaking phone call to let me know Heather would be handling my account? How even MENTIONING my stuff to Heather so she could work on it? The artwork was in the same place I’d dropped it off several weeks earlier except for the two Fairey pieces. Those were in the back semi-covered by their dog’s blanket and comletely unprotected. I explained several times the worth of those pieces to Molly. I finally got a call from Molly a few days later. No apology, no mention of their collossal clustermess! At this time I brought in 3 more pieces with the total cost of the project nearing $ 3,000. Several times I came to pick up my items, they claimed that I had already picked some of them up. Each time, they were always hiding under another customer’s art. Also, there was an artist statement that had been glued to the back of one of my pieces that belonged to a different customer! WTF? There were several other things they bungled that I just can’t remember right now. I called Molly on the 26th of JUNE and she said my pieces were finally done. Why did I have to call her? I’m not in the framing business, however here are some things I’d recommend. 1. Take better notes. 2. Learn to set expectations appropriately 3. If you are going to miss a deadline, call or email your customer 4. Get organized. If you can’t do it, then ask Heather to organize things for you. Lots of books out there about this. 5. Treat all your clients the same, but maybe pay a little more attention to those that drop 3 f’ing GRAND on your doorstep. Again, I’d like to stress that these are GREAT people. Just don’t let them touch your artwork.

I had a photo I wanted framed, but I didn’t know much about framing or what would best show off the photo. I went in, and the woman who helped me was very nice and knowledgeable. It wasn’t cheap, but my photo looked great. A couple of weeks later, I went back in with a couple of more photos. This time, the woman talked to me about the option of a premade frame, which was much less expensive(the first photo was a nonstandard size). The frames were great, and I saved a bundle of money. Also, for dog fans, they have 2 – 3 dogs that hang out in the space.

I had a couple of maps that I’d been meaning to have framed so they would no longer be crushed by boxes, ski boots, etc. in the hall closet. I had stopped at a couple other places prior but was never fully satisfied with the options and/or pricing. Then a few weeks ago I stopped in here to see what they could offer. I have to say that I was very pleased with both the service and the value. I was shown several(ok, numerous) options and never felt hurried or pushed. When I noticeably balk at the price for one particularly pricey option(that looked GREAT), I was quickly offered a comparable-looking frame at a much lower price, although it was materially inferior. The work was promised in 2 weeks but was ready in nine days. In all a great experience.
