F & F Auto Repair

I know absolutely nothing about cars but I do have a good key sense of people. I normally went to places like jiffy lube, Midas, and Firestone, you know those blood sucking money don’t give a crap demons and I recommended none of those what so ever!!! Then my friend pointed me in the right direction to F & F, local family owned shop. Everyone who works there is really personable and tell you detail by detail what’s up with your car, unlike other places that tell you these big car words I don’t understand. The F & F crew is completely honest! If it ain’t broken why fix it! Thank you F & F for being nice to my wallet! Travis is the man who usually works on my car and he is beyond knowledgable and down to earth, no bull shizzz here. Also did I mention there’s also a cute dog in the shop :)

Steve at F & F has been our go-​to guy for years now. He manages to keep our Jeep running like a champ, despite the 200k miles and endless abuse. But most importantly, it is a great relief to know that we can take the car to someone we trust to fix the problems without over-​charging. If he says it’s broken, it’s broken and he will fix it for a fair price.

Since I know nothing whatsoever about cars, I originally took my car to Superior Auto Services in Ballard based on the wonderful and high-​rated reviews from Unilocal.Their diagnostic said my water pump and alternator needed to be replaced which would set me back ~$ 700. :(I decided to look elsewhere to see if I could save myself a few bucks. A friend at work recommended F&F so i went ahead and called. First of all, I gave them the diagnostic that Superior Auto Services gave me just to get an estimate, and F&F said it would cost them ~$ 475 to replace my water pump and alternator. Hearing that, I quickly scheduled my car to be brought in.
It gets even better — when F&F did their own diagnostic, they found nothing wrong with my alternator… in fact they said it looked as good as new. Only my water pump needed to be replaced, and once they replaced it my car sounded as good as new. :) In the end, it only cost be $ 230 (and that includes labor and tax). :) I am really happy with the results — my car seems to be running great. The guy that owns the place… i think his name is Phil, if i remember right — was very nice and old-​fashioned. In fact F&F only takes cash or checks, which is a good thing to note if you decide to go in. :)
