Had the veggie combo. I really want to say that I loved it, but it was ok. I have had Ethiopian food before and have been blown over by the flavours, but I didn’t finish the meal here feeling that. Portions are huge, though. We got paper plates with a few dishes. The husband has been here before and says that the food was a lot better the last rime he was there. I will give benefit if doubt and try the place again.

We ordered the Enat combination, and one order was more than enough for the two of us. Be aware that the combo is about 70% vegetables, with two small meat portions. If this isn’t sufficient, consider ordering another meat dish to supplement. If you’re down with the veggies, the combo on its own is definitely enough food quantity-wise and the value is just ridiculous. $ 8 per person for dinner and a huge portion to share?! Yes please. This place is a solid choice if you like Ethiopian. The bread(injera) was slightly thicker than other places. I also felt like one of our beef dishes was tougher/chewier than it should have been. The vegetable portions were very flavorful. Service here was excellent and friendly.

I was fortunate to enjoy a home-cooked version(indigenous flavor) dinner at ENATETHIOPIANRESTURANT. It was the famous«Kitfo Be Gomne. Kifto, raw lean ground beef blended with Mitmita, is another signature dish of Ethiopia. The meat was incredibly fresh and rolling out of the kitchen(high quality). The taste was wonderful flavor and style was unique. I never worried about running out of Injera during a meal! Like last week’s in one of the Northern Seattle Ethiopian restaurant.(I have had bad experience). The waitress was extremely courteous, very efficient and made my dining experience a great one.

Decent food. My hubby and I just realized I don’t really care for Ethiopian food but the food was very flavorful. Worth trying.

First time here and trying this kind of food. This was a to go order and was dissappointed when I opened it. Had the Doro wat and the meat sumosa kind of thing. The DW dish is a spicy curry dish with chicken(two chicken legs) and it was supposed to have hard boiled eggs(my didn’t have any at all). It also came with a ton of the spongy soggy bread. The flavor of the curry was great, but dissappointed that it wasn’t as described. The sumosa was just ok, but I did use it to soak up the other dish curry. The place is not something to write home about and will most likely will not come back.

Went here for the first time a few weeks ago. I ordered the enat combo. Very good food! I absolutely loved their cabbage and carrots, and all of their meat dishes. Wish they’d given me large portions like other restaurants do. I like to have lots of leftovers. One meat portion was about 2tbsp worth!!! NOT ok when the plate costs $ 16. My friend ordered a steak with onion and peppers plate and it tasted like heaven!!! Waitress was very slow going and rarely checked on us. Seemed like a family run place which is what I prefer, but we ran out of water and weren’t offered more til she brought the check. Very uncool. Then she wouldn’t return to pick it up. We ordered a $ 16 plate and a $ 12 one, and somehow it came out to almost $ 38! I didn’t know tax was THATMUCH!!! All in all, I really liked it here and I’ll probably be going back soon. Hopefully they read this review and fix what’s wrong so I can switch to 5 stars!!!

Nice restaurant. Not a lot of experience with Ethiopian food, but this was a nice start to it. Good food, and well priced for the food.

Enat was my first Ethiopian dining experience. We have ordered Veggie combo, green chicken and Foul. Veggie Combo is best of all. Food was OK and the soft bread(Injera) was nice. Overall a good experience.

I really wanted to try something new, so I looked up Ethiopian places with good rates figuring, go big or go home. Came across Enat and with 4 stars and only one dollar sign, there was no reason NOT to go! Except it ran $ 40 for a $ 12 combo plate and $ 14 bowl of «beef tartar»(it wasn’t; it was lukewarm ground beef with mild spices you could hardly taste— I have seriously never had such bad tartar and for $ 14 for a portion!?) — how does $ 26 = $ 40? They charged $ 8 for bread WEDIDN’T WANTORASKFOR and apparently almost $ 6 for my $ 3(listed) beer. The quality was only okay, the spices were very mild compared to what I expected, but admittedly the spongey bread it is served on was great. The woman was friendly at first but then proceeded to ignore us for a 20 minute stretch until the boy actually got up and went to find her(at which point she dropped the $ 40 bomb). If I had known they were going to charge for the bread we didn’t want or ask for, we wouldn’t have ordered the crappy tartar. The bread was not listed, and when we were enquiring about the meal she assured us it CAME with bread. And it DID! So why did you send us more bread and charge us almost $ 10 without warning? Anyway, we won’t be coming back. Partially because it is grossly overpriced, partially because the quality was mostly mediocre, but mostly because they were deceitful and I just don’t like that. Step up, Enat. Ps, parking is good.

The one thing that’ll keep you coming back here is how amazing the food is. As a general aficionado of spicy food, I could write odes and sonnets to the wot here. The quantities are also vast — be prepared to box. One con would be that the food is a wee bit on the oily side, an fyi for all you health nutters. But overall, I love coming here — we’ve never had to wait, and we usually end up stuffing ourselves silly.

This has become our go-to spot for delicious Ethiopian take out. They also have a sweet ambiance if you choose to dine in, which we do sometimes. There are always families, students and singles representing a diverse clientele. One of the things I really like about Enat is that you don’t have to call ahead to order teff injera, unlike some other places. They always have some made and ready to order. My husband and I share the veggie combo for around $ 11, which makes us feel better about eating here constantly. They also have a belly dancing show one a month. Check it out!

Enat was my first real Ethiopian dining experience. I’m nixing the time I had Ethiopian and was served rice instead of injera, given silverware instead of using my hands… The restaurant is minimal on décor, but service was quick and efficient. I think I’ve had better lentils and whatnot but the Green Chicken was peppery and delicious. I typically do a veggie combo and am satisfied. I would totally return for the Green Chicken alone. Three Unilocaly stars!

We love this food. The combo is so yummy with a little bit of many tasty types of food. We also had collard greens and a beef dish. All the food is so good. And the service is super. You always feel like family. I would recommend this place to anyone especially if you like a little spice. Delicious.

My first time eating Ethiopian food, and not my last ! :) Servers were very nice, and even gave us suggestions. I ordered the Enat Combo($ 14) and shared it with my boyfriend. The flavor was rich with a mixture of sour, spicy, and savory tastes. The plate is big enough for 2 people! If you are in for a treat, and want to try out a new type of food, I would def recommend this! Just be sure to wash your hands before eating :)

I love their food, it’s my first time, and it taste really delicious. I wasn’t expecting the flavor being so rich, yet the meat and some of the curry dishes was a tad similar like Indian food. I’ll recommend the meat platter, being that is big and shareable. Only downside, they don’t have a big parking lot, and not enough lights out in the lot. #delicious #yummy #awesomeness #loveit #foodporn

I’ve been there twice now. Both times it was«which place nearby has gluten free injera?» There is one in the central district, and this one where you don’t have to call first. That’s great. Injera is fantastic but is not the point. The point is that the food is AMAZING. The portions are plentiful and the service is just fantastic. My guy had the steak tartar dish — oh my. It was seriously like a pound of meat in a bowl, with a side of … something good. I don’t know. The veggie platter is amazing. Everything is so very good!!!

I’m always hungry when I’m around this area of Northgate because of my involvement with the U.S. Army and the recruiters located nearby. Well, an Ethiopian restaurant goes very well together with a big eater like me because they have a lot of food. «A lot» isn’t even a fair assessment of the quantities because I can’t imagine how one person could finish an entire combo in a meal. But when the food is fresh and quite cheap on top of that, it’s a perfect formula for a five-star restaurant. Unlike Jebena Café nearby, Enat is spacious and has plenty of room and TVs. They even have a full bar, which I found quite impressive. I took advice from previous reviews and ordered the largest item, the Enat combo featuring a little bit of everything. It’s only fourteen dollars and came to my table in about five minutes. The other cool thing is that they gave me way more injera than I’m used to. The Enat combo has eight different stews or whatever you call them laid out on the injera. It had to have been prepared in advance given the speedy delivery, but it otherwise doesn’t feel like it was rushed. There was lettuce, tomato, potato, beef, and some less obvious things that I’m not too sure about. Definitely a tremendous amount of food, and even the lady taking my order kind of looked at me like I was crazy when I told her that I wanted it for here. Normally with Ethiopian food, I eat until the basket on the side runs out of injera, but in this case, they provided so much injera that I was full and thus unable to eat anymore before the bread ran out. Asking for the leftovers to go is such a wonderful feeling because I know that the food will sustain me for a long time. And I’m so thankful to Enat for providing me with the great experience to go along with it. They’re comparable to Jebena Café and I can’t say which is better, but when can you ever go wrong with Ethiopian food?
