Located on Queen Anne and has a down to earth and quaint feel. The service was excellent and we did the 5 course meal. To his credit he made me enjoy meals that I normally don’t like. I thought the flavored, combination, presentation were all excellent. Job well done.

This unassuming location is home to one of the most creative chefs in Seattle. Completely underrated; highly recommend it for those in the Queen Anne area.

Absolutely loved our experience at Eden Hill! Beautiful, cozy and warm atmosphere paired with the best service. Our server explained in detail the exquisite ingredients of each dish. We couldn’t pick our favorite dish, each had a unique blend of flavors and was just delicious! Highly recommend!

This is one of the best meals I’ve had in Seattle, ever. The chef pushed the envelope, delivered unique dishes, amazing flavors, and the wait staff were incredible. The tasting meal was a truly wonderful experience. I recommend going on a date, but it’s great with friends too. It is pricey, so try not to care about money while you are there.

This place is AMAZING! The food in incredibly inventive and beautifully executed. I love that they continually experiment with unique ingredients and are updating the menu frequently. The restaurant itself is beautiful too, small and cozy but and overall well designed space. A great spot for a special evening or just a night out to treat yourself. I will say, be brave and willing to try something new here, you will not be disappointed. – oh and make a reservation, this place is getting really really popular!

Similar to the other reviewers on this page, I rarely share my thoughts on Unilocal.I typically consume food and consume reviews… *gulp*. But Eden Hill deserves this. The food was superb! We did the 5-course chef’s tasting, which is well worth it because the chef goes all out. My personal favorite dish was the poached octopus, but it had stiff competition from the chicken sweetbread and the foie gras-themed dessert This is the type of restaurant you go to in Seattle when you want exquisite food, a game changing meal, something out of the norm. Sometimes it is difficult to get out of the comfort zone, but I’m glad I did at Eden Hill. Go here before it becomes the next hot restaurant in the city.

After our favorite restaurant Crush recently closed, we’ve been looking for a comparable dining experience with innovative chef prepared dishes. We have found it at Eden Hill. Friendly staff, craft cocktails, and most importantly, fresh, beautiful food with a rotating menu. Space is small and tables are a bit tight, but I predict big things for this chef that will hopefully include a larger more chic space to match these gorgeous dishes.

So glad that this place opened up in Queen Anne! It’s avant garde cuisine in an informal setting. Great place for a date night for sure! I was impressed all the way both with the creativity of the chef and the service. I started with a fall cocktail that was short on quantity but outstanding on quality! Standouts were octopus terrine and sugar pumpkin gnocchi(mind blowing). We also had a couple of mains which did not standout for me but were solid dishes with unusual combination of ingredients. We had the salmon with nasturtium curry and mushroom pappardelle with wagyu short rib. Chef personally came to our table to serve dessert. He didn’t say much but the dessert spoke to us bigtime. Foie gras cake batter finger licking bowl of goodness. We ran out of salted pound cake but our server was quick to order some extra to ensure that we fully enjoyed the foie gras cake batter. This restaurant is definitely pushing the envelope and not in a pretentious way. The flavors were spot on. I am definitely excited to follow how their menus evolve with different seasons.

Seriously amazing food. So impressed by the creativity of the menu(uni on grits!??) and the fresh ingredients. Loved the rare beef and the gnocchi. Everything was delightful down to the bread and butter. I can’t wait to come back and try the new tasting menu! Also the service was amazing. The waitress we had was so nice and helpful with the menu and I love how the chef came out to introduce himself, such a personal touch!

I don’t review much so it takes something amazingly great or stunningly bad to prompt me to write. Eden Hill is amazingly great. A tiny place with maybe 8 tables and a small bar, Eden Hill feels intimate and the staff rotate through all customers. The staff was engaging snd clearly were all super excited about the food they were bringing us. We had the short ribs, rare beef, and gnocchi. All of the dishes were amazing. The short ribs came on hand made pasta and were savory and flavorful. The gnocchi was pumpkin flavored but I imagine any version of this dish would be to didn for. The large gnocchi pasta melted in your mouth. The rare beef was unique and super tasty – nothing like this anywhere else. For dessert we had the chocolate bombe. This was good but I would probably try something different next time… And there will definitely be a next time. We also had the whiskey and gin cocktail which were ‘speakeasy quality’ and also very tasty. We loved Eden Hill.

Easily the most full of its self restaurant I have ever been to. The portions are super small, not small but literally micro. $ 17 for maybe an ounce of beef? 20 mins between bits? We had to go out for a second dinner after leaving. 2 people. 2 drinks $ 115 and 6 bites a piece! This place is the worst restaurant in seattle! It would be better to dine at hotdog on a stick

Are you kidding me? The meal we just had was incredible. And remarkably creative. How can someone do new things with octopus, geoduck, beef, short ribs, and sweet breads? Surely we’ve eaten them with every accompaniment, in every permutation. Somehow every dish was both familiar and exciting. Well-trodden flavor profiles, but with excitement at every turn. And so freaking balanced. Sometimes slow-cooked short ribs can be too intense for me, but here the counterpoints of acid and bitterness were spot on. I’m so sad that I might get to go just one more time before this place blows up. But seriously Seattle, blow it up. They deserve it.

Rarely do I take the time to sit down and write a Unilocal review, but I had to make an exception for Eden Hill. My mom was in town from LA last week, and always loves trying new places when she visits. On Thursday night, we decided to play dinner by ear, so we did not make a reservation anywhere. Around 8pm, we called Eden Hill to ask what the wait was. They said about an hour for two, so we decided to walk there and put our name in. There was a little room at the bar to stand, so we got a drink to wait, and within about five minutes, a space at the bar opened up. My glass of the French rosé was so yummy that we ordered a bottle of that, as well as a few small plates. We received our first dish at the bar, but after about 20 minutes our lovely waitress asked if we’d like to move to a table. While the bar was spacious and comfortable, we opted for the cozy table for two in the window — so cute! The space: While small, it is thoughtfully laid out, making for a very intimate and cozy dining experience. The restaurant was full when we were there, but did not feel overcrowded or too noisy. The decór was lovely — simple and modern yet warm and inviting.(Great chairs and wallpaper, too). The service: Friendly, knowledgable and accommodating. Our hour wait turned into a five minute wait for seats at the bar, and then a table after 20 minutes(**Disclaimer: We may have just gotten lucky, if you know you want to eat here I would definitely make a reservation!) We also loved that the chef brought out each plate and explained exactly what we were about to eat — a thoughtful touch. The food: Holy deliciousness! The menu is fairly small, but it was still hard to decide because everything looked so unique and tasty. All the plates are meant to be shared — about 3 – 4 bites per person. We started off with the seared butterleaf salad with jalapeño buttermilk dressing which was a great choice — simple yet flavorful — as well as the bread and butter. One piece of advice: ORDERTHEBREADANDBUTTER. It sounds so simple, but was SO yummy. A whole wheat, nutty bread with house cultured butter, honey and sea salt that was just to die for. Rarely do my mom and I finish all the bread, but there wasn’t a crumb left on the plate. Next came the octopus terrine. Octopus is my mom’s *thing* — she orders it whenever it’s on the menu, and has even taken it on in her own kitchen– so I take her opinion seriously. It was her second favorite ever — a tad on the chewy side but all the wonderful flavors made up for it. Our last shared plate was the Rare Beef, which I think was my favorite(besides the bread and butter). It was cooked perfectly, the Asian inspired flavors were unique and super tasty, and I was surprised at how much I loved the honeydew with it(I’m not usually a fan). We decided against dessert due to our full bellies, but those four small plates paired with the French Rose was absolutely perfect for two. I’m so thrilled to have such a great new restaurant on Queen Anne, and can’t wait to go back! It’ll be hard to resist the plates we ordered this time, but I have no doubt that everything on the menu is wonderful. Aaaand I just realized they serve brunch. Done & done. Cheers!

Everything was delightful, but beware, only real FOODIES, the high brow type will enjoy this. We had pig brains and my husband was grossed out, but I thought the whole experience was fun, and everything was interesting and cooked perfectly. More of an experience than just eating out. Pricey, if you expect to get full!

HOLY amazing! Get to this place NOW! My best friend and I stepped into this perfectly charming and quaint restaurant with no expectations. I was totally blown away! First of all their smiling faces and amazing service won me over at the door, they are so friendly and were happy to seat us and tell us all about what they had to offer! We sat at the bar and watched the bartender make some of the most creative and intricate drinks I have ever seen. One of them even included burning a piece of cedar plank and allowing the smoke to dance on the honey in the glass before pouring the drink in. HEAVEN! Then the food started rolling out. We started with the Brie plate. This plate is warmed to perfection with bacon jam, warmed bread, honey comb and perfect brie cheese. This is by far the best brie plate I have ever had. We ordered the octopus plate and boy is that hard to do! Normally I get it and the flavorful is boring and it’s pretty dry. This had the best flavor and was moist and had the perfect garnishes. Next up was the baby beets. They were perfectly done with yogurt drizzle, a little balsamic and the right about of heat. Is your mouth watering yet? To finish up our plates, we ordered the ricotta donuts. I don’t know if there are sufficient words in the English dictionary to explain these. You HAVE to try them for yourself! I am watching the menu to see what the seasonal changes will be so I can visit again! Take a date there or enjoy it with friends. They seat 24 in the whole place and accommodate any allergies.

So this local guy, Maximillian Petty, decides to open a restaurant on Queen Anne, at what was the location of Entre Amis. As a local, it’s utterly refreshing that a nationally renowned chef has decided to come home to his roots, and open an eatery here; and also it’s delicious. Welcome Eden Hill to the Seattle world of dining. Located just a few store fronts north of Queen Anne and Boston St, this comfortably cozy restaurant seats just under 30, split between a few tables and a bar. The food, is undeniably American, with worldly techniques that any food lover appreciate. Colleen, our lovely and knowledgeable server, shared with us her keen wit and charm, indulging me as I ordered the king of local classy beers, «Rainier», and faithfully describing without hesitation, what exactly a «Crispy Pig Head Candybar» was. My girlfriend and I played it safe and ordered the Veal Bolognese, and King Salmon. Because Bread and Butter is dearly required, and because carbs are delicious, that was on the ordered agenda too. Of course what came out, it was two slides of a thick cut wheat bread, cut into four pieces, next to what looked like a Ice Cream scoop worth of butter, covered in honey and grey sea salt. It was a worthy bit of goodness, to start a beautiful Seattle night. Our meals… let’s say if presentation was everything, then our plates fit that qualification to a dime. Then again, if taste was important, then it also meets that as well. Let’s say, they were plated flavorfully well, and tasted just the same. My King Salmon Fillet dish was so beautifully plated with a green vegetable purée, and what I assumed to be a Salmon pâté, with an oversize shrimp chip(imagine a Parmesan Cheese chip, except made from shrimp). The fish appeared to be cooked Sous Vide, because the texture was cooked through perfectly, without scorch or discoloration. As a Sous Vide owner, I immediately recognized the color and texture, and it’s very much appreciated. If you haven’t had this prep, you should, because it’s creamy yet flaky. The girl’s meal, was the the Veal Bolognese. She kindly shared a bite with me, and it was tasty mess of, smokey, meaty, chewy, hearty, stewy, warmy goodness. Queue images of a french man, standing over a BBQ… and that was my first emotional thought. The noodles were cooked just at tad past al’dente, but still held up well against the sauce that shared itself with. The meat was tender, in small chunks that complemented the noodles perfectly. It was genuinely a dark and rich meal, served in an equally dark colored bowl. Darn near perfection, I would gladly eat that every night, if I didn’t worry about my tummy expanding because of it. The outlook in my humble opinion is good, because when you do make it here, you will not be disappointed. If there was a con to be had, it’s that it only seats a few, but if you take into consideration that you will probably want this to be a romantic date spot, a cozy night out, or a small(less than 4) get together location, then the goal of this place is won. The prices are very reasonable, that it could be your regular dining option on the hill. Do get a reservation, because it’s worth every bite. P.S… do take a moment to use the bathroom, if you dare. They have cats with lasers; UFOs over the Space Needle, and if so choosing, sign the«bathroom guest book.»

Eden Hill opened last night on 9÷4÷2015. A friend of mine said it was great, so I went in tonight during the freak thunderstorm. I had oysters and the walnut prawns, they were wonderful. It is a great location, right across from How to Cook a Wolf, and I think it will be good competition for them. The wine list is different, less Italian and more French, which I like, and a full bar. They make a great negroni. Do try this place. We loved it and we will be back.
