This park is just up the hill from where we live and so we visit often. Great shady area and always clean. My little girl is too small for the play structure (we stick to the swings) but there are always kids around having a good time.

Came here when babysitting. There is a giant zipline/​swing and when the weather is nice it can get crowded. It is an excellent place to have a bbq or to skip rocks. There are also grills!

One of our favorite go-​to parks in West Seattle for my preschooler. It’s not huge, but it’s got plenty of shady (and sunny) spots to sit and watch your kids. Picnic tables and BBQ’s for summer barbecuing w/​your friends and family. Decent sized playscape w/​a slide and climbing bars, a swingset, merry-​go-​round, giant grassy field which is usually occupied by soccer teams and people w/​dogs, a basketball court, bathrooms (key ingredient for all parents of small kids), AND a wading pool (when Seattle Parks and Rec has them running that is). It’s tucked into a quiet neighborhood too, so it feels like a hidden treasure.

Big open grassy space for soccer games, 2 smaller baseball diamonds, 1 outdoor basketball court, small-​ish play area for kids (equipment is wood), 2 sets of swings, 1 merry go-​round, a sand pit, and best of all: the wading pool (open irregular schedule during summers only). This park is basically used by locals, BBQs get fired up a couple times during the summer weekends. Really quiet in the mornings, but afternoons are more lively. It feels like a pocket park, but has all the items of a larger park.

Now I really love E.C. Hughes park, along with most of my friends. It’s a cute little park and it’s great in the summertime because there is s small wading pool. Nice place to watch one kid in the pool while another one plays on the toys.

Right down the street & fabulous little spot to play catch, throw the frisbee, or fetch the dog when out and about with some stir crazy friends, kids, or pets. It’s not big, but has two junior ball fields, Basketball courts, soccer goals, BBQs, a wading pool (seasonal), public bathrooms (usually clean), the usual play ground equipment, & plenty of grass.
Evenings & Saturday mornings it maybe saturated with little-​tikes playing soccer or adult league softball.
