Dr Dan’s Alternative Fuelwerks

I’ve been going to Dr. Dan for ~7 years with my 1967 Mercedes 200D both for fuel and unique parts. Benz friends used to do all the mechanical work, but they closed and Dan has seamlessly solved all of my car issues (thankfully not too many)!
Getting fuel there is a bit out of the way for me, but I do what I can to support him and his business. He is a good mechanic. I trust him, his prices and the work that he does.

There is a reason I said to hell with Biodiesel. I got fed the typical «You’re saving the planet» crap. After the incident involving beef tallow gumming up my system and having to manually pump out the remaining bio in my tank I called it the quits.
Dr. Dans is doing me a big favour. While all of you shell out your first born to buy Biodiesel, I’m happy to fill my new car with 92 octane… just means there’s more for me.
I didn’t help shut down the Iraq war, or bring back the lives of dead troops we had lost– I just ended up with a lightened wallet and made someone richer in the process. Sounds like a similar concept called Capitalization.
Biodiesel is just another scheme in the capitalist machine. Lots of politics involved if you scratch the surface.
I’ve seen Dan loose his patience and this made me just use the automated pay pump instead of dealing with him personally.

We’ve been running Dr Dan’s biodiesel for 4 years in our Jetta. However, this last cold spell gelled the fuel, the car got towed dispite leaving a note for SPD that we would tow the car the day after Thanksgiving, and got a ticket for leaving the car on street. We now get to spend (again) $ 400.00 to clean the lines, injectors, and filter. Sorry. this is the last time I buy your product.

When it becomes legal in this state I am going to marry Dr. Dan’s biodiesel!
He keeps me and all my limos very happy and lowers everyone’s carbon tread by 80% or more.

Most enviro-​conscious bio diesel available! Filtered, temp treated B100. Unlike Safeway, which is only B10.
Excellent diesel mechanic as well!

Dr Dan is a competent diesel mechanic (more knowledgeable than any VW Dealer mechanic) and gets his biodiesel from reputable, and local (when possible) sources. This is the real stuff, so even though it is more expensive, you should buy from him — don’t buy that 5 or 15% crap from the other ‘biodiesel’ vendors!

I bought a used VW Jetta wagon about five (5) years ago from Carter VW in Ballard. The car was barely used, and I asked about using BioDiesel in the car when I bought it– I was told no problem.
Dan has been great, and I have NO respect for Carter VW– after I bought the car, they blamed my use of BioDiesel on any/​all problems– not engine or fuel related.
Dan has been honest, and I have been buying B100/​B99 and running it in my car for 5+ years…

Dr. Dan went out on a limb, and took a huge risk to bring Biodiesel to Seattle. I will always have a high opinion of him just for that fact. he is a very cometant diesel mechanic, although he tends to underplay the amount of work needed to keep older vehicles happy with the Bio-​D, as he wants people to feel it is not a big deal.

The Dr. sells Biodiesel, and works on old and new diesels. You don’t need to buy 100gal to fill up here, just to get 24hr access, otherwise it operates normal business hours. (now ²⁴⁄₇ fill ups are avaliable!)
The Biodiesel they sell here comes fresh from the farm, sells yummy and makes my car go. The only thing I don’t like about this place is the lack of the 24hr pump for people not wishing to purchase 100gal prepaid.

I just sold my diesel and am going to miss taking my business to Dr. Dan. Getting fuel there was easy and reasonably priced. I also had great experience with their team doing a couple of fixes to the car — knowledgable, helpful, friendly mechanics, great labor rate & reasonable prices for parts!

Yes, Dr. D was the first to sell bio in our lovely city, as far as I know, and yes, he is a wealth of knowledge.
The first experience I had with the biz, was via phone with a chap named Scott. He was ever so helpful, and ever since I have been a customer.

I am proud to say that I want to own a biodiesel. I went here and was impressed by the knowledge. Dan is full of information and will help you with any questions about your car. This is a fine place to get biodiesel at a competitive price. It is in a good location too.

Dr Dan is awesome! He was one of the first (if not the first) providers of commercial biodiesel in the Seattle area. He’s been very active and influential in the biodiesel and alternative fuel industry and the community in the northwest. His per gallon price is always fair, and I’ve never had a fuel quality problem there. He stands by his product and he and his staff are happy to answer questions you have about the fuel or your car.
