** I downed it. The rude PCC person and my attempts to talk about customer sucked all the joy out of the event. I might go down. shall see. ***** This was til 3PM today. It is sponsored by Seattle Parks and Recreation. it’s a big day of play for mostly kids and families. I went because Corepower had a booth for kids yoga. when I arrived I found out that they, unlike any onther group, was only there for an hour and I missed it Dang. 94.1 had a fun booth. A stage featured kids dancing and performing and also had dance lessons. Pemco took our pictures. I’ll be on a website some day. PCC has an elaborate game of getting tickets to let you get food. This process was not explained as I went from place to place and I ended up being denied an ice tea because I didn’t have a ticket I didnt know how to get. DANG! People need a little info sheet to explain how to get tickets, give out samples and staff needs to speak politley to people who want iced tea on a hot day. I anticipate that next year PCC will improve their information about getting tickets. It’s not about winning– its about having fun and being part of a family of many great fun healthy groups who promote health through activities. I spoke to some very friendly parks and rec folks. This event is getting bigger and bigger each year. If you don’t get there today… 364 days will pass. Oh yeah, not on the website was free kayakig and free tacos from Taco Time. The 4 instead of 5 is because of the iced tea girl. she could have nicely explained how to get a ticket instead of flatly refusing. and«that would defeat the whole purpose». What purpose?
