This place is terrific! I finally gave in to my husband’s requests that I get my face waxed and this place is a two minute drive from me so I tried it out. What a find! The place is spotless, very affordable and everyone on staff is so friendly and efficient. Highly recommended, my moustache is a thing of the past. The Vietnamese coffee is a special treat too.

I’m a huge fan. Tina not only does a great job with my nails, but she knows how to run this place. She is super sweet and goes the extra mile to make sure everyone is happy with the service they’re getting. Stoked to find such a gem right here in the neighborhood! And I love Vietnamese iced coffee, so that’s a bonus too!

A friend and I made an appointment for Day Nails to catch up and gossip. She lives in West Seattle, and is pretty good at finding businesses for us to try out.
The excellent: when my friend and I walked in, we were immediately greeted and offered Vietnamese coffee. The two women working today, Tina and the woman scrubbing my feet, were kind, and did excellent, meticulous work. I’ve seriously never had as thorough a foot scrub as the one I’ve had today. Tina did an excellent job painting my toenails. We were also never made to feel like we were in a hurry or a rush.
The negative, and what is keeping this from being a five star review, was my experience with the male employee, who I am assuming is the Johnny mentioned in other reviews. He was the one who painted my fingernails, and he was very unpleasant to deal with. He complained constantly about the short length of my nails, and was displeased with the fact I chose a bright red. He actually looked up at me and said, «You picked the worst color.» Excuse me? If you don’t like working with a certain color, don’t carry it. His application was sloppy, uneven, and I immediately removed the polish on a couple of nails and repainted them with a similar color when I got home.
Will I return in the future? Yes, most certainly– but for Tina and my pedicure lady, I don’t want the guy here touching my nails.

Love love love this place. I’m so happy I was shown this place by a friend and it’s super close to where I live in West Seattle! In a nutshell, the prices are super reasonable, the staff are very nice and friendly, and the quality of their nail care is amazing.
No harsh chemical smells as they do not do acrylics! They also take their time so I would not hold that against them if you’re needing to be in and out. They value quality over getting you in and out which I highly appreciate. So far I have gotten 2 shellac manicures and 1 regular pedicure and I am very impressed! I have been telling my friends about this place and cannot wait until the next time I can do my nails :) My favorite part is their complimentary Vietnamese coffee. So yummy!

I love this place! My nails always look great, and the Vietnamese coffee is a nice touch that takes it from a good experience to a great experience. The staff are incredibly friendly too.
Because they take their time, it might not be the place to go if you’re looking for an «in and out in 30 minutes» sort of joint, but that’s what I like about it because it makes it much more luxurious and relaxing.
Definitely recommend!

I was contemplating whether or not I was going to tell my friends about this place. My reason behind that is because I am sooooo impressed by the service here, it truly is like a hidden gem.
I’ve been going to a place in Tukwila for about 3 years now, but the girl that I usually go to is very busy with other things that I never see her. With that said, I started to get other people. One nicked my pinky cuticle and that ish HURT. One dug way way WAY too deep in my toe with some kind of scraping tool to the point where I could totally feel like I was going to draw blood. She even held it down as if it was going to bleed. Let’s just say that I was definitely not sandal weather ready. I stayed because of my home girl that used to do my nails but she’s never there anymore.
I looked on Unilocal to see what places were in Seattle since I recently moved back and came across this one. I’m not going to lie, the photos of the immaculate looking nails didn’t sell me. No. Not the raving reviews. NOPE. It was the Vietnamese coffee. I LOVE café sua da like nobody’s business so when I saw those on the photo reel I was sold! I called to make an appointment and was told I could come in about 30 minutes for a shellac mani. I usually go by shellac to gauge if I like a place or not.
I almost MISSED the spot, I always drive past it when I’m heading to the junction but thank goodness for GPS! I found street parking which was no biggie.
I came in and just felt immediately at ease. It didn’t smell like straight up acetone. It was CLEAN. I was thinking what da haaaiiiilllll did I go to the right place? I sure did when one of the guys asked if I was Nicole. I sat down and Tina started to file my nails to help the old shellac come off easily. She told me to pick out a color and I did — I picked out a nude color. It could pass off as a beige or off white. I usually do pastels or neutrals. I rarely ever do red or anything not pastel or nude. Very minimalistic colors are my preference. But she changed my mind and I LOVED it! It’s been 3 weeks but my nails look AWESOME! They’re not lifting or anything which is usually the case with most places.
I plan on coming back when my bff is finally brave enough to try a new spot. I can’t wait to see her reaction to the free coffee! ;)

Like most of the people here, I found this place on Unilocal.I rarely give reviews but the service they provided was amazing, I had to write a review. When I called with questions, I was greeted with a sweet friendly voice, Tina. I haven’t gotten a mani and pedi for years so I was nervous going in. They immediately greeted me with smiles. Very warm and welcoming. Loved working with Tina and Hong. Love their positive and kind energy. They offered me their Vietnamese coffee and it was delicious! They took their time which was relaxing and well worth the money. The prices are very reasonable too and they give you some free special perks like Vietnamese coffee, neck massage and they even entertained my child. They offered him a snack, drink, let him sit on the massaging chair next to me and best of all, Tina gave my son some Pokemon cards to take home! How awesome and sweet is that? Tina is very attentive and thoughtful and wants to make sure you are well taken care of. She is also a great listener. We had some deep conversations and I felt like I was talking to a friend I’ve known for years. She has a kind and sensitive nature about her that I rarely meet. It was very therapeutic for me. My shellac mani and pedi turned out beautiful! Tina picked out a beautiful color for me. Hong was wonderful with the leg and foot massage. Tina was wonderful with the neck massage. I was blown away because I didn’t expect the neck massage and I was surprised that Hong took her time on my legs. Felt like the massages were separate sessions because they took their time and they are great at massaging! This is my new nail place to go to! I can’t wait to try their other services. I HIGHLY recommend this place! You will walk out feeling like a queen and cared for! Can’t wait for my next appt. Thank you Tina & Hong! Best nail experience I’ve ever had! Just moved to the area and was looking for a new place to get a pedicure. Found this on Unilocal and so happy I did! The pedicure was one of the best I’ve ever had and very affordable. I will definitely be back!

My first appointment here was awesome I was able to get a manicure and a pedicure or with shellac in about an hour.
Like everybody says the Vietnamese coffee is a nice addition.
However my second appointment with them really turned me off and I won’t be back.
It is clear that they do not value appointment times.
Granted I may not be like all other consumers but I have a baby at home and had an hour and a half to get a manicure and a pedicure.
I called and made my appointment for 6 PM.
I walked in at 5:50. I was behind three other women who walked in right ahead of me.
All three of those women wanted a manicure with shellac. There were only two employees.
They immediately said yes to these ladies.
They did not get started on my pedicure until after 6. It wasn’t until 710 that I sat down for the start of my manicure. There was a lot of apologizing but no urgency.
Come 720 I had to leave without a manicure at all.
I had a very special event to go to the next day and my nails were a mess.
He did end up shaping three of my nails in the 10 minutes that I sat in the manicure chair.
When I went to pay for my pedicure she had the audacity to say «i’m not going to charge you for the manicure». I laughed out loud and said that’s a good thing because I didn’t get one.
Vietnamese coffee will not keep you afloat.
When people make appointments you have to give them priority. You can’t say yes to everybody. Reputation supersedes a quick dollar.
I’m back on the search now for a good nail place.

I’ve been a regular customer of Day Nails for about 8 months. I like keeping color on my nails and my feet need regular maintenance. Seriously nail care used to be a pricey chore and now it’s my happy place. This place is great! Tina is so sweet and welcoming. The vibe is relaxed. The massages are great. And Tina has a knack for making Shellac last. A shellac mani + regular pedi is $ 40! They prefer if you call ahead to make an appointment but they take walk ins too.

I found this little gem via Unilocal and every time I visit I hear someone else mention they found the shop through Unilocal too. There is a reason so many Unilocalers hand out 5 stars to this place. They deserve it! I feel lucky to live in the area but the last time I was there I sat next to a woman who drove out from Madrona. So clearly people are really going out of their way to experience this oasis of relaxation that Tina & co have created.
Not only will they do an amazing job with your nails and waxing, but they make you feel welcome and appreciated; a rare treat in this new age of mediocre-​at-​best customer service. They also charge less than any nail salon I have been to and can certainly get away with raising their prices. I don’t ever need to tell them what I want, they remember me down to the shades of colors I like. Tina, the owner, goes out of her way to make each visit consistent and extremely relaxing. John is a rare treat who can transform your skin and nails into works of art. I danced ballet for 12 years so my feet are worse than most but yet you would never know once John is done working his magic. He also remembers every customer’s name and often greets them with a warm, friendly hug. They make you feel like family; part of their family.
There is nothing I would change at all but my advice to Tina is to get a two more chairs and another employee because they are just going to get busier. The word is out that this is the best place in Seattle to get your nails done.

Such an amazing salon! The shellac manicure has me converted and the color selection is great! Every time I go to choose a color they insist I sit down on the pedicure stool (since the shellac colors are on the bottom).
I have fallen in love with iced Vietnamese coffee! Everyone is so nice and helpful!
I took my mom there, who doesn’t have great nails due to years of acrylics and bad habits like chewing her fingernails, and she loved it. She said her nails, albeit short, looked 10 times better afterwards and is keeping the shellac on to try and strengthen and lengthen her nails!

I’d been having a hard time finding a decent, not even amazing, nail salon in West Seattle. When I came to Day Nails, I had minimal expectations but they surpassed them. They did an amazing job on my gel manicure and pedicure! Amazing!!! The girls are so nice and friendly. They offer you an iced Vietnamese coffee while you’re getting your nails done. Just a note, this may not be the ideal place if you’re in a rush because they take their time which was ok with me. The owner mentioned if I’m ever in a rush to just let them know. It might be helpful to make an appointment if you’re in a hurry or can’t spend 2+ hrs. Overall, I was very pleased with the service I received and will definitely be back again.

Can I just say this place is AMAZING!!! No harsh strong chemical smells since they don’t do acrylics. I felt like I got a full body massage even though it was my legs and shoulders. The ladies were all so sweet and they make you Vietnamese coffee. Definitely coming back as a regular.

Absolutely the best deal in Seattle! I am a spoiled princess as soon as I step through the door and I couldn’t be happier or more proud of how my gloriously relaxed and delicately painted hands look!
Upon my first arrival (thanks to a good Groupon) I was greeted with genuine kindness and we hit it off like pld friends. I couldn’t believe all the freebies included like drinks, parafin, hot towels… ahhhh just utter bliss!
I highly recommend Day for a good time and a fantastic look. Don’t forget the punch card!

We just moved to West Seattle and I was looking for a new place to get pedis. Because of the pretty much unanimous great reviews here, I decided to give them a try. They did a thorough job and took the time to make sure I was relaxed and satisfied with the pedicure even though they were short-​handed. They sat me down with a delicious and complimentary glass of Vietnamese iced coffee and got right to work. Prices are competitive and their English is good too. I’ll be back!
