Down the street from our house and hands down one of my husband and my favorite places! The food is amazing and the people are just as awesome! We have tried most of the menu and everything has been fantastic. Highly recommend!

So, went and grabbed a to-go order while at work. They had the food made pretty much by the time I got there(though it wasn’t busy). Not sure why it wasn’t busy though, because the food was on-freaking point. Granted, it is not some upscale gastronomy genius, it is however some well-prepared food cooked perfectly with ample portion for the price. They also cater(which the co-workers were stoked at after trying the truffle fries). If you like burgers, fries and shakes; you don’t need to over pay for Five Guys, go here instead. You won’t be disappointed.

This place is great. Ordered to-go here the pulled pork sandwich, fish sandwich, fries, onion rings, and chocolate chip cookies. All healthy :) I was told the pulled pork was the best ever, and we are from Texas! The coleslaw that came with was tasty. The dressing is very sweet and southern-style. It was slightly overdressed, but I typically like my slaws lightly dressed. The fish sandwich was delicious. The fish is cut a little thinner than I’m used to, which made eating it easier. It was seasoned perfectly. The panko batter was awesome and preferred over the thicker beer batter that I typically get. I highly recommend. I added slaw to my sandwich and loved it too. Both fries and onion rings were tasty. Onion rings are cut thick and have a thick batter. Both are seasoned well. Their chocolate chip cookies are outstanding. A little sweet so I could only eat one but that’s better for my waistline anyway! Def give this place a go!

This place had gigantic sandwiches. I could only get through about a quarter of one. The Reuben was one of the best I have ever had. Try it! Be prepared for leftovers. We ate in the tint dining room, and listened to the cooks joking around. Really good experience.

It’s not often that catch myself meditating on the taste of food. It’s even more rare that I meditate on food I didn’t even order. That’s really saying something, isn’t it? I didn’t come here by chance, but the fact that EVERY review in 2016 is 5 stars. Now, I know you’re feeling a little iffy about it because the average Pacific Northwest Unilocaler dishes out 5 stars like Halloween candy, but I am writing this to tell you it is absolutely worth 5 stars. The place has a diner/divy feel to it from the outside and it’s on a street with dilapidated buildings. There’s enough seating for 1 couple and 5 people in bar stools facing the window. There’s ample street parking and it’s overall easy to overlook or thumb your nose at. I warn you: You’ll be missing out on some mouthwatering delights if you drive past here based on appearance alone. It’s also very clean. I observed the machinery for making shakes were spotless, as well as the counter where I ordered. The smell of burning meat(vegetarians avert your eyes) is strong and the thought makes my mouth water. Some foods to try: Double bacon cheeseburger WITHFRIES: Only $ 8 with bacon between and on top of each patty? Yes please! Black bean burger:(Vegetarians please pay attention) I can’t even begin to describe the texture and taste without craving another bite of my boyfriend’s burger. The patty has a light crunch that hits the spot as well. Truffle fries: Do I need to explain this one? Hopefully not! It’s worth $ 4 Swing by on your cheat day. You won’t regret it. Edit: this place inspired my boyfriend and I to try making our own Blackbean burgers and meatballs. Still trying to figure out what makes Dan’s so crispy. Thanks, Dan!

God. I know the reader might be skeptical of all the five star reviews. Upon reading them I was fairly uncertain(especially in light of how common review inflation really is). The place is right across from a high school(I think it’s Roosevelt High), and while I don’t envy high school life whatsoever, I do envy their proximity to this absolute gold mine. It’s small– that’s true. There is only one table in there. You think they’d at least bring in a friend to help cure his loneliness, but they don’t. There are a few seats at a counter by the window, and… finally there’s food. Can you believe that? They serve food. I happened upon a Southwest Black Bean Burger that was messy, crispy, assaulted by avocado on all sides and just wonderful. The fries were good… not absolutely mind blowing like the black beaned glory that, if only for a few short moments, made my life worthwhile. I will be returning here, and there will be no black beans left in the city of Seattle– .words.

Tried Dan’s earlier this week and was impressed. I love Reuben sandwiches so this was a no brainer. Sandwich was piled high with lean pastrami and was grilled to gooey perfection. The sandwich was so large that I could only eat ½ and took the other ½ home for later. Fries were great too. I’m looking forward to trying a burger on my next visit.

Great little lunch spot. Wife got the bacon avocado turkey sandwich and I got the bacon double cheeseburger with fries and onion rings as sides. We loved everything! Not much dine in space but is our new go to for a nice close meal.

GREATGREATGREATGREAT! Went while visiting from out of town and I loved this place! A little small and you probably shouldn’t go when the school across the street is going out, but the food was amazing. Got the fish and chips and the pulled pork sandwich. The fish was fried perfectly and the fries were really good. The pork sandwich was the winner for me though. A bit messy and definitely had a kick to it, but I’m gonna go back to pick up another one for the flight home! Definitely coming back here on my next visit. :)

Alright, so I was able to hold off on my review until we’d gone a few times. But, seriously, one time’s enough for Dan’s to show its flourish of meats and buttered breads. First I got a reuben on GF bread, and jesus lordt it was good. I had a hard time savoring it and not scarfing it. Second time we got the Mega and reuben on a GF bun. Not a fan of the bun at all, the bread is better(and my man who works weekends always remembers this for me). Third time we got some variations of the CBET, which may be my favorite sammich there. It just has a good amount of everything. Last time we got our CBETs again, but I’m still itching to try a burger with peanut butter… DONOTPASSONTHETRUFFLEFRIES. They really should call them crack fries. They’re amazing. In fact, get two orders, just to be safe. My friend who always goes with me gets annoyed by this, but make sure you eat your food hot. It’s not the same otherwise. I’ve tried reheating it several ways: via skillet, in the oven, microwave, and it never turns out like fresh off that buttery-sweet griddle. Don’t settle. I hear their BBQ Pulled Pork is the best, so maybe that’ll be my next gift from Dan. I really don’t think you can go wrong here. Great people work here, the food’s awesome, and the quality is consistent. Do yourself right and go to Dan’s. Just go.

Delicious unpretentious unassuming will-catch-you-by-surprise amazing meals for a great price. Friendly staff that takes pride in their food. I think they’re used to hearing the moans and sighs of sheer delight when people bite into an overflowing 1⁄3 pound bacon cheeseburger done right. Glad we discovered it. Glad we are nearby.

Great burgers: fresh tasting, larger than the supposed ¼ pound, I think hand-formed patty, nice selection of add-ons and a delicious bun that did not fall apart. Fries and onion rings good and crispy without being greasy. Good value and very friendly service. Highly recommend.

Excellent food! I had the fish and chips and they were cooked to perfection. The breading was delicious and did not overwhelm the fish. Had a touch of sweetness to it which made it all the better. The french fries are the best I’ve had in Seattle. Dan was super friendly. Definitely going back!

I just hate to ruin this places streak for 5 stars, but I simply cannot. I arrived and was greeted, super friendly. I ordered and waited. As I waited I watched the kitchen staff make food for myself and another customer. As I watched I noticed one gentleman with his gloves on, touch his face, fix his hat and wipe his nose with his arm. All with the same pair of gloves, never changed them or washed his hands in between. I feel as if they probably should know better. I understand things slipping through once in awhile. It’s hard to remember– but he only had two orders. It’s not like he was super busy and flustered. This place is walking distance of my work and I want to come here again, I guess I’ll have to evaluate if I want to risk the workers preparing my food. Sorry.

Was randomly in the area when on radio, KISW the Men’s Room, mentioned Dan’s Kitchen had the best pulled pork and Reuben sandwiches, and they were right. I got the Reuben, it was stacked with deliciously sliced meat(which they get from New York), just a hint of dressing, and amazing rye bread that was toasted to perfection. My husband got the pull picked sandwich which he inhaled before I could even steal a bite. We ended our meal with some chocolate chip cookies. We will definitely be back to try one of their burgers or fish and chips.

Timed perfection is what I like to classify what they do. This quaint little joint can pump out some belly goodness! From the in house smoked pulled pork, to the crispy chicken sandwich, or even the fishwich, there’s nothing that won’t fill you up at Dan’s Kitchen! With all the fundamentals on deck, this place will have you yearning for more delicious mouth watering food! And they even have new outside seating, right out front, just in time for the summer season!

This place is right behind my house, super cool guy who runs it. Pulled pork sandwich is awesome. He gave me an extra side BBQ that he made from scratch, to make my sandwich extra saucy and it was amazing. I haven’t had one of there burgers yet, but I trust that it’s fantastic as well. Fun fact about this place, they do all the meals for the U-Dub football players during football season. So you know they’re legit. Come support these guys

I’m a fan! I saw this place opening up, and it looked like such a tiny hole in the wall, but color me surprised when I walked into a cute, well decorated little place, with a menu that packs a punch! I’m from Texas, I’ve lived in Seattle for a year, and I haven’t EVER tried bbq here. I decided to go for it today, because Dan’s Kitchen reminded me of home! So I asked Nick, the chef, if I could have the teeniest taste of the pulled pork, before I took the leap and ordered a half sandwich. He warned me that if I tried it, I would be tempted to buy the full sandwich. He was right :) I ended up getting the whole sandwich and saving half for lunch tomorrow(it’s huge!). Now, this wasn’t exactly Texas-style pulled pork, but I would still HIGHLY recommend it. If you aren’t from Texas, you’ll never even notice the difference! The coleslaw was JUST like my mom’s, I mean, it coulda been her recipe! I’m not into super sweet, sugary coleslaw, I just like it with the taste of mayo and the crunch of fresh greens, and that’s exactly what Dan’s Kitchen has. YUM. I got it on the side so I could savor it on its own. The fries are delish also. And with breading like that on the fries, I’d bet $ 100 their Fish and Chips are fantastic. Dan’s Kitchen — you better get a bench outside, because with food like this, you’re gonna have a line out your door for as long as you want it.(And contact me if you want the secret to making that a Texas-style pulled pork sandwich ;D)
