I have personally been to this place twice, and love this place. In the first time that I was here, we were a little bit skeptical as the outside does look a bit dodgy and looking from the outside within, we were a little uncertain if we should proceed with going in. Granted– we were a bit thrown off that it was half 80 – 90’s rundown club at one side of the restaurant, but without any bars there. But as soon as we sat down, the waiter was friendly. His service was a little bit slower than I would expect as there weren’t that much customers that day. We had asked him what to ordered and he recommended the House Special sauce and told us that he got some live crabs in today. I was excited to hear about the live seafood, but didn’t think twice that he would bring it out to show it to us before killing it in the back kitchen. But I’m glad that he did, because it shows how fresh the seafood is. :) When the food came, oh boy! we chowed down. It was spicy but yet too good to stop eating at the same time kinda feeling. The food comes in bags, all mixed in with the garlic butter. Although the food was great, I wished that they would come with free corn or sausages like the other cajun restaurants in town do if you ordered up to 2 lbs or something. Aside from that, this place is quite a hidden gem!

Great little family owned spot and reasonable prices for all the food too! Was looking for that boiling crab alternative up here in Seattle and so far this is my favorite! Ordered a pound of shrimp in the spicy house sauce. The shrimps are HUGE! Almost got thrown off by how few there were but I was definitely full in the end. Also ordered corn, sausage and fries, all of them were delicious! Fries nice and crispy, corn tender and the sausage spicy. Service was extremely pleasant and the food came out pretty quick. They also offer bibs and gloves for those who may not want to ruin their nice shirts and manicures. Can’t wait to return here and try the crab and crawfish

My friend and I really wanted some crawfish and decided to check it out. Walked in and were seated right away. Although I did not know it was the bar side until he asked us if we were over 21. Ordered two pounds of crawfish one pound of clams with extra sausage, corn and potatoes. After ordering one of the waiters came and told us about a special appetizer they had that night that was not on the menu: dungeness crab and artichoke dip. Dip was really good, but it ended up coming out after our boil. I would have preferred eating it before. As for the boil, came out in a bag and our waiter also brought us gloves and bibs. Happy he did because anyone who knows me I always get food on my clothes… Boil was flavorful, we got the house sauce and it was so good. Slopped it up with the bread as well. All the waiters and I think the owners kept checking if we liked the food. Nice gesture. Safe to say my first visit will not be my last.

Only 6 blocks from my house so why wouldn’t I come here all the time! The parents usually order the crawfish boils with house sauce. I also like the shrimp. My boyfriend isn’t that big on seafood so he orders a sausage and egg po boy with fries and he loves it. I’ve had the shrimp po boy and that’s really good too! Staff is so nice and welcoming and very attentive.

The Po boy sandwich was mediocre at best. Bland, tons of breading on the shrimp, and half a bucket of mayo. The Cajun fries were ok, but very spicy. The onion rings were a soggy oily mess. I don’t recommend them.

My first time here was great. I had 1 pound of snow crab with the garlic butter sauce and 10 spicy. Yes they do go all the way to 20 spiciness, which is crazy. I can’t wait to go back. I heard the house special sauce was delicious also. The waitress there was very helpful and they were very busy when I was there. When my cousin and her family was there, the waitress had held her baby while she was crying to help my cousin finish her meal. When you enter, don’t expect to be seated. Just be comfortable and seat yourself and help yourself eat and be messy. Enjoy it! The restaurant is divided into two section, the left side is 21+ and the right side is for everyone under 21. Also, be careful when you eat because it can splatter at someone else.

First time coming to this restaurant coz it look interesting and fun to do. We got there it’s not super busy and it was our first time so we assume that someone will come and take us to sit or a sign to let us know what to do. Anyway we got sited. Look at the menu and the guy ask if this is our first time and we said yes and he didn’t really explained how to order. Short story basically, the customer service is not that great. We order our food and it was good, the spiciness is perfection. We got 2 lb crawfish and I never ate crawfish before but it was good. It was cook in perfection and the sauce was amazing. We order 4 level spicy so if u like spicy it’s great. Then we order as well fried pickle and Cajun fries. And it was good. The fries is crunchy and it was a little spicy and the fried pickle was okay. The batter it was a little gummy but it was good combo with the spiciness. And fried rice Overall experience was good. I would go back because of the food. Not the customer service. However I know what to expect.

I went here for live crawfish, since everywhere else was serving frozen crawfish. It was good and busy. The place could use a little tidying up, but overall not bad. The bibs and gloves are self service. They offer nice gloves, which I love. The fresh strawberry lemonade was also an added bonus.

Mixed feelings about this place. We had the 3 combo appetizer with pickles, wings and mushrooms. So much fried goodness, maybe even a little too much batter. We also had the dungeness poboy which was disappointing. The crab to bread ratio was way too low, as the roll was huge and the crab… ehhh not so much. For the finale, two pounds of crawfish boil in house seasoning and four level heat. I love spicy foods, and after eating for a bit the heat started to build and build. As for the service, it was really spotty all night. Server would disappear for 10 – 15 mins, then forgot about the refills he said he would bring.

Here for the food. Came in for the crawfish but they were sold out. Had a blast on my first visit but this time, the service was rude. The guy who was serving us was very rude and impolite. He’s short, chubby and has blond hair and brown the side. Im pretty sure he’s vietnamese. When we got in, nobody come up to sit us, it wasn’t busy at all, he(the guy i mentioned above) came to us after we picked our own seats. He asked us what we want anything to drink. I told him what I want. He took forever to get the drinks to us then got scold from the older guy that came from he kitchen because he forgot to give us drinks. As he bought out the drink, he placed the drinks in front of us with an angry manner and just left. We did not order our food yet. When we needed a refill, he took forever to get it to us. I got my refills before i check out. When my friend got up to pay, he was very rude. One of the card that my friend use to pay did not go through, so he madly handed the card to my friend and said«doesn’t work». Then my friend handed him a different card, he swiped it, it didn’t work, after so many times when he madly abusing my credit card, it worked. My friend and I did not complaint, because we knew that the owner here is nice, we had great service served here before, this time, my friend and I just happened to deal with the employee that happened to be so unprofessionally rude and disrespectful to customers. I thought that since the crawfish was sold out, they would have actually treated me better since i’d decided to stay for other food on the menu. This experience was unexpected. Customer service can be rude if the servers are in their bad day. Just give ya’ll a heads up. Don’t let these ppl ruin your appetite.

With two people, we ate ~$ 75 worth of food(2 pounds of crawfish, 1 pound of clam, 2 pounds of shrimp, and a beer). Pro: — You need a light beer when you are eating crawfish. Their beer is cheap($ 3). — They start you off with lime and spicy salt/peppers AND surgical gloves?! Yes, surgical gloves protect you from the spicy glob of goodness. — Shrimp is worth the $$$ — so much flesh. — Service was fast and friendly. — They have happy hour from 3 to 7pm Monday to Friday with $ 1 off appetizers and entrees. Con: — Their crawfish was TINY! Most of them were smaller than my hands and when the shells were removed, the flesh was as small as a nickel. — Price of the boils are not written on the menu, only saying it is at «market price.» — There was only 2 pieces of corn and 2 piece of sausages(SAD. SOSAD.) in the 5+ pound of seafood we ate and my boyfriend accidentally ate them all. — Their spiciest was relatively mild.

Hip hop, in a Seattle club like venue(décor but the space is small) but eating crab pot at cheaper than the Waterfront? Yes, please! And no, the lighting isn’t dim. It even comes with spicy salt and lime wedges whether you like it or not. Mind you, the boil here isn’t with the dry rub, it is with butter. or at least the ones that we ordered this time. You get to choose from garlic butter, house butter with their special spices and the Louisiana boil. We chose the first two. Ain’t nuttin wrong with mo’ butta! Especially garlic! You even get to choose the spiciness, so we got the middle number, 3. The first one we got was red king crab at 20.99/lb in house butter sauce. It is the largest king crab they have. We got a lb, which only gave us two crab legs. We even ordered 4 pieces of corn and 4 pieces of sausages for 3.00 extra. We should have ordered some bread too, to sop up all of the buttery goodness! The spice was good and gave some redness through the butter. What’s even better is that instead of mallets and crab crackers, they give you kitchen shears to cut your crab with. Ingenious! They even have gloves and a lobster bib you can use. The second round we got the garlic butter with the snow crab and shrimp. Snow crab was 12 dollas a lb and shrimp was 13 dollars a lb. The shrimp is not headless, so I had to show my friend how to take the heads off. More garlicky than the house butter. They gave us about 12 snow crab for 1 lb and shrimp was about 10. We also ordered the fried pickles, which to me was ok, it tasted like pickles that were in a jar and covered in calamari breading and fried. My friend loved them, probably because she has more of a salt tooth than me. Next time, we’re ordering the snow crab and lots of it.

I am addicted to this place!!! We always get crawfish(duh) with the house seasoning. And we request extra house seasoning + lime for dipping. I mean, that’s just how you gotta do it! Aside from the crawfish, I love the raw oysters. They are always so fresh and honestly, I’ve tried raw oysters before and never liked them until I had them here! The crawfish corn chowder is CRACK. Omfg I love it so much I could have it everyday for the rest of my life hahaha. It’s probably not a good idea to come here when you’re already starving because they’re always packed so the orders get backed up really easily. Other than that, the service is always phenomenal.

I love this place and still can’t believe it that of all the time I’ve been living in Seattle, I have never heard or eaten at Crawfish House til now! We stopped by Crawfish House as we were looking for some seafood to eat and were drawn by a selection of Cajun/seafood selection, which is a nice deviation from the other typical plain seafood dishes that Seattle restaurants have to offer. The restaurant itself is situation in center of White Center neighborhood. The neighborhood looks a little run down like it is in a depressed area and, to be honest, we were not quite sure if this would be the right place for us to eat. Upon entering, however, we were so surprised to find that this restaurant was packed(even on a Sunday night!). We were so glad we were able to grab a table, because as soon as we sat down, there were many more parties who stopped by and had to wait a bit for their tables. We ordered 2 appetizers($ 8.99) that you can pick from their menu. We picked onion rings and yam fries. Both tasted great, especially with their tabasco-fused creamy sauce. We also ordered a pound each of crawfish, shrimp and red king crab legs and additional corn and chose their house sauce and a level 3 spiciness. I think the combination of the sauce and spiciness was actually at the right level for us. The meal was super tasty, was just right proportion wise and wasn’t too filling for the 3 of us. I think though that if you were on a hungry side, you probably want to order at least 1.5lb-2lbs a person(since majority of the weight will probably be on the shells, and you get less meat once you take out those shells anyway). We also like their waiter/waitresses were really helpful. They hustled and bustled their butts off to make sure we get our refillable drinks and to make sure we get what we needed(bibs, gloves, sauces, etc). True, the waiters/waitresses were slightly busy(because it was a full house of customers), but they were still very gracious and friendly when we flagged them down asking them for the things we needed. Would definitely come back here again. If you have a group of friends/family for dinner, this is definitely a fun, casual place to have your dinner! :)

It’s hard to write a review because since I don’t consume seafood, I can’t ever try what their main thing here is which are crawfish! But I still have been here plenty of times with peeps that are big time crawfish fans to be able to judge this joint. There are non seafood items here for me to snack on, actually more than snack on because there’s quite a variety of non-seafood options that can fill me up just as equally as the couple pounds of crawfishes that my friends order. I’m a fan of their fried rice and their combo meals of either 2 or 3 deep fried snacks. Judging from the outside presentation, it doesn’t seem as approachable because it is in well… White Center neighborhood. On top of that, it’s across from an adult superstore. But once you get through those, the reason people keep coming back and that it’s ridiculously busy during peak hours and days is because of the food itself and pricing. It’s a lot cheaper than a lot of crawfish houses. There’s unlimited refills on the homemade strawberry lemonade. Just know, if you are here, it’s going to be quite the experience. Don’t bother looking cute, it’s pointless. HAHA. You are going to wear a bib, gloves, and picking at your food. Yep, sounds about right, that’s a crawfish house! The owner was funny, everybody’s hands was messy from going through juicy critters, so she offered to tie everybody’s hair up so it would be out of our face.

I’ve been wanting to try this place for awhile and finally got the chance to. My mom and I were greeted by a very friendly hostess and said we can sit anywhere we wanted. Our waiter came over and asked if it was our first time there and went over the menu with us. We had ordered the Cajun chicken wings for apps and was it was really good, but we should haven’t ordered it because we needed the room for the crab and shrimp boil. We ordered 2lbs each of the shrimp and a dungenous crab with andouille sausage and corn. We both ordered it with the garlic butter sauce. It was delivered to us in our own bag. I loved the sauce! The crab was huge and very fresh since it came from their tank and the shrimps were huge. Loved the fact that the shrimps had the heads on. Most Asians know that the head is the best part of the shrimp. We were totally stuffed. This place is awesome! You are treated very well here. We were checked on frequently for refills on our drinks or if there was anything else we needed. I am definitely coming back to try their po boy sammies. Only thing I don’t care for about the place is that it is in a sketchy area, but that won’t stop me from returning.
