Very clean and organized, with nice selection and variety. Fascinating treasures, average prices and some of the best pieces of furniture I’ve seen second hand. Staff is wonderfully kind and knowledgable. Parking lot is a perk.

Well priced adult women’s modern clothes. I found some great scarves and some cool adult clothes (as in — clothes suitable for a person over the age of 30, not hipster attire) and a nice general selection. They had a lot of heels if you’re looking for that. I would have liked more flats but c’est la vie.

Been shopping here for ages, consigning too. Ethel has a good eye and the selection is full of styling great finds in both sections. I love that I can get household stuff here too.(if anything, I think the clothes are underpriced?!
Ps, I saw the sofa the other reviewer thought was ikea… NOT!

The service here can range from chummy to icy. There is usually no initial acknowledgement of your presence but there is sometimes a sweet old golden retriever who lays in front of the door and will give you loving eyes, which can make up for a lot.
The clothes also run the gamut, insanely priced (used, older fashions marked very high, newer designer things at good prices) or under-​priced, depends on the day.
Fantastic bargains can almost always be found, but you have to dig. Anything that is older than 90 days is 50% off, which makes this a must-​stop if you’re bargain hunting.
If you’re interested in consigning, don’t be too attached to a price, as it will differ wildly from what you actually get. They do sell a lot, so the turnover is good and if your items are in good shape and current, they will probably sell.
Come here with a discerning eye and you can often find something fantastic.

What can I say, but it used to be better. I used to find great stuff there (ie vintage Coach bags, Cole Haan shoes, Stickley furniture, Crate & Barrel rugs), but now, it is almost too busy, so shop often which I don’t do. It is hit & miss. But good for the owners, Ethel & Frank! They are good people. I’ve found them very reasonable to deal with in both buying and consigning stuff.

All items that have been there 3 months or longer are 50% off the listed price. Very good!
I found a small mid century end table and a glass vase for good prices.
Looks like their inventory turnover is high as most of the kitchen and furniture items I looked at had come in within the last week or so. I’ll be back!

We’ve been shopping here for years and it’s great for furniture, clothes, and dishes. It has clothes that would suit me (24), my mom, and older women. Like any second hand store, you have good luck or bad shopping, but I’ve found some great Anthropologie pants, Loft shirts, Born shoes, Ralph Lauren, etc, etc. in excellent condition. My mom even found me a Vivienne Westwood purse!
We are always happy with the customer service, Frank and Ethel are always friendly, polite, direct, honest, and kind. They state their store and buying policies clearly and price very fairly. Their employees are polite and helpful, and their HUGE dogs are also the sweetest.
Two things to know:
1) If you want to sell to them, they are sometimes booked out in advance so we always make an appointment
2) Items under $ 100 go to half price after they’ve been there three months, so always check the date on the tags!

I stopped by here as I was looking for street parking to go to Buffalo Exchange, and I had no idea the two were so close; I have been wanting to take a peek at this place for awhile. The store is setup as ¾ furniture and ¼ clothing and shoes. I honestly wasn’t too impressed with the clothing but I really liked a lot of the furniture pieces. They had a lot of really cute chairs and a couple cute dressers and desks. They had a very nice espresso desk that was in amazing condition that I was drooling over.
I think this would be a really nice place to stop at to get some extra chairs or decorating pieces, prices are a little expensive but not too expensive that it’s outrageous. Nice place!

Wow! I stumbled upon this store in passing after not being too pleased with the neighboring Buffalo Exchange. Classic Consignment is a helluva find. The furniture is in great condition, the items are classic or vintage, and the clothing is plentiful.
I managed to find a women’s Armani blazer in mint condition for just $ 24. The furniture is a bit pricey, but for the quality I would expect to pay about those prices.
The downside to the store is the wait list to sell women’s clothing is quite long. I visited in July and their list is booked through November!
Overall, I think it’s a place I’ll stop in more often.

I have been shopping (and browsing) in this place for years. Whenever I am in need of a piece of furniture, I check here first before I look at any other furniture store. As a rule, if I am spending more than $ 200 on an item, I leave the store and think about it for a day or two. If I am still thinking about it after 24 hours, I go back and buy it. I can’t tell you how many times I have found an incredible item here, gone back 24 hours later, and someone else has snatched it up. The turnover on good quality furniture in this store is astounding. I have purchased several pieces over the years at a great price without a single dud.
I don’t know who the other reviewers are, but I have never had bad service in this store. In fact, almost every time I go in, the owner makes a point of letting me know they are there if I need help. I’m not a «once a week» shopper there, so I know this treatment isn’t because I’m remembered from the last time. In fact, I just moved back to Seattle after 6 years away and got the same great service from 6 years ago. They have helped me make decisions, haggled with me, and loaded things in my car for me. I have never received bad customer service and I am a real stickler about good service.
My experience with this store has never been anything but wonderful. I send friends and relatives here all the time when they are looking for an item. I have never walked into this store without finding something I wanted to buy even when I was simply browsing. There is always something I want even when I don’t need it or have room for it. If you haven’t been here to look for furniture, go now. The prices are reasonable and the products are top notch.

There are definitely 2 different experiences that get different ratings in my book.
As a seller, they are awesome and efficient. I sent a photo of my items, they were interested, so I made an appointment. I had an idea of how much I wanted for my stuff and we reached an agreement. My things sold quickly.
I have learned their system and work within their confines, and all is well.
As a shopping customer, it is a little different. They were slightly rude a few times with me If I was in the store near closing time. Except for the dog, I am almost never greeted when I come in to shop.
It’s a thrift store, not Tiffiany’s, if I don’t expect much, I am pleasantly surprised.

I had a very displeasant experience here today. I was in the middle of finishing my selection, when the store closed. I had one shoe I was trying on my foot, and was waiting for them to bring me the other. I had expressed that I was buying the shoes and just wanted to make sure the other was fine. I waited, and some exchange must have gone on, because when I looked over two minutes later, the girl I had asked was cleaning up, and the guy told me they were closed in a very unfriendly manner. (Because they delayed bringing the second shoe, which I was waiting on, at this point it was 3 min after closing).
I felt confused. I wanted to buy the shoes, and obviously needed the other shoe to do so. I expressed this again, that I wanted to buy the shoes, and had asked earlier for the other shoe so I could make sure it was fine, and I was just waiting on that (I didn’t want to hold anyone up). I was already buying a few other dresses, so I didn’t understand the reluctance (although I didn’t express this– I continued to be appreciative and friendly), as they were going to have to check me out either way (it wasn’t as if I wasn’t buying anything at all, etc).
With about as much unfriendliness as possible, the salesman found the shoe. I slipped it on, slipped it off, and told them I’d take it. I was friendly and appreciative as I usually am, but the service continued to be cold. It was very awkward. The sales girl looked uncomfortable too. I wished them a happy Thanksgiving (tomorrow is Thanksgiving) and the guy completely ignored me. It wasn’t a polite ignore. There was some serious unpleasantness going on. I think the girl felt bad about the guy blowing me off and heartfully wished me a happy Thanksgiving as I exited the store.
I don’t understand why the salesman was upset with me when usually stores make announcements before closing to give customers time to finish up and check out. His announcement came almost right at closing, with me in the middle of the shoe fitting and needing to check out. I have never had this kind of experience before. I was there shopping since two hours before closing, so it’s not like I rudely snuck in to shop right before they closed.

You can find $ 30 baby blue Ferragamo oxford here. Or a $ 3,000 collector sofa. Watch out for the $ 90 half price tags! I got $ 3 planters, which are $ 30 quality. The owners hand pick all merchants and you know it is only the good stuff gets to the floor! :)
Clothing range from $ 4 – 10 regularly, sometime you find branded items which may be a little more expensive. Check them out for winter clothing already! I saw some cute sweaters and boots in the store today :)
Did I mention they have a private parking lot?

I used to LOVE this store, but lately I have been leaning more towards the like. I used to find more vintage items, however lately I feel it is more thifty. I still like you though, and not ready to break-​up with you yet.
I tried to consignment here once, and it was going to take months, so I decided not to move forward with the whole process. Maybe this is why the quality is not the same. I will still keep checking in though.

I love, love, love, unique & thrifty establishments such as classic consignment. There’s something about being near the water (I live right at Golden Gardens) that makes a place like this perfect for getting cottage-​esque, yet classy, place-​mats, bowls, serving trays, nesting tables, etc. I had gotten a few wonderful gifts from here when I became engaged, and began occasionally popping in whenever I could (about two or three times total), and have always had a relaxed & pleasant experience.
The last visit, however, I came away with quite the opposite feeling… One weekend day, I had two things on my mind– stop at Classic Consignment to look for a few things (rug, butter dish), & check to see if «The Kitchen Place», which is next door, had Keurig carousel/​coffee brew «shots». Now, if you’ve ever been to Classic Consignment, you’ve seen the «You’ll be towed!!» signs everywhere, which is totally respectable, if nothing else, understandable. A man who claimed to work for C.C., happened to be passing me by when I got out of my car. Barely a decibel below screaming, he told me that I’m going to be towed, right now, right away (very rude, very aggressive) without even listening to a word I was barely able to utter. I let him speak from about ten feet away before I was able to convey that I was actually going in the store. He said something to the effect of: OK then, I’ll tell [him] not to tow you (menacingly) & walked off. Now there is one major problem I have with how this misunderstanding was dealt with… I am a 27 year old woman, but short, darker skinned & in work out clothes– looking anywhere between 19 – 27 in this apparel. I could not help but say to myself, «why did that grown man just talk to me like I was a delinquent kid?» & I would be exceedingly surprised if he would have spoken the way he did to me, if I had been a grown man.
Once inside the store, there was a man who was helpful (who always has been, & I assume to be the owner) and I was able to be at ease & peruse as I had intended. I can’t imagine I’m the only person who has been confronted with such ridiculousness, & poor customer service. Sad to say, but I probably won’t be back for a while, and I hope the sweet owner evaluates who he is employing.
(Apologies for the length, but if I take the time to do this, I find it imperative to highlight both the good & the bad).

I got only a quick glance around in here in the course of Christmas shopping today. Lots of nice stylish pieces attractively arranged. Everything looked well cared-​for, and everything looked like it was purchased with a sense of the appeal of the item, it’s not just a mishmash of the best antiques and vintage stuff they happened to be able to grab. I could definitely see a successful shopping excursion here when shopping for someone with this kind of taste – that taste being nice, homey stuff in the 50−100-year-old range of furniture. Some restored stuff, some well-​preserved stuff. I’ll definitely be back.

Ok so you walk in and the first thing you see is an adorable golden retriever lying on the floor with big pouty eyes and a cute bandana. So far so good. You look around a bit and see furniture, home accessories and stuff everywhere! Its almost a little overwhelming. It took me a second to realize that if I just kept walking straight I’d run right into the clothing.
The clothes ranged from stuff my mom would wear to stuff my grandma would wear to stuff I’d wear so I was pretty impressed. And tons upon tons of clothes! Arranged by color… boo! I hate stores arranged by color, not only do you have to peruse for your size but you have to peruse based on the color of your mood. I’m not fond of that but I got over it when I realized they had a huge selection. I kept going further back and finding more and more stuff.
Their prices wer A-​OK I wouldn’t say amazing but I’ll give them the thumbs up. I mean I wasn’t paying full price or anything but $ 20 for a skirt is a little steep when its already been worn. Like I said this place is a little helter skelter and you feel a bit overwhelmed at times but overall I liked it… I’ll go back.

Incredibly hit or miss for me, but then that’s the beauty of a consignment store huh?

Woof! This is the best darn consignment store I have EVER been in. Darn you Seattle-(ites?)! I kept wishing I lived here.
The furniture offerings were astounding. (dammmit!)
I spent over an hour treasure hunting. Even found a gift for someone. There is such a great variety of things and it’s all tidy and organized. The store is clean and well lit.
The customer service was amazing ! (I wish I had the man’s name) who kept going around asking if people needed any help with anything.
I will be back to this place on our next trip down from BC. There’s only so much you can stuff into a car and tote over the border! So, like not a kitchen table with drawers or an ottoman with a pull out sleeper (!) or corner hutch… nope. Not a blender with a pour spout or a Moroccan Tea Set. Nope.

Vancouver BC needs a «Classic Consignment».

I really kind of hate this place.
They have almost no selection in sizes over 14, what they DO have is CRAP. Everything else (clothing) is poorly organised.
Would it KILL you to separate the 5,000 black shirts you have by oh, I don’t know: SIZE???
It would make shopping SO much easier.
Their prices for clothing, shoes, and bags is WAY higher than it should be in many cases. Plus, they will shoot you in the head if you even TRY to haggle. Absolutely NO haggling allowed! Who the F do they think they are? What country are we living in? God that annoys me.
The only happy memory of going here (and I’ve given the place about a half-​dozen visits over the last 3 – 4 yrs) was the time my hubby and I found a cool organ there and he picked out Tom Waits’ «Another Sucker on the Vine» on it and we imagined how we might squeeze the thing into our lives.
Unfortunately, someone else has my organ now. We passed on it. Sigh.
Anyway, besides my one nice musical moment here, C C has made me unpack my angry eyes.
