I’ve grabbed an arepa her the last few times I’ve visited the fremont market and they’re amazing! I go for the blonde, I think it’s called. Shredded chicken in a tomato salsa sauce with white cheese. It’s great and a perfect size for a large snack or small meal. Last time I got one I was served by a really cute 10 year old boy who was helping at the stand. He was nice, surprisingly professional and knowlegable, and very efficient. I’ll definitely visit again and try other varieties!

The first time I had an arepa(beef, regular size), I found it salty and meh. However, the arepa is such a rare food item that I kept them in mind for many months after. I’m really glad I did. This past Sunday I ordered their $ 7 combo(3 smaller arepas with your choice of fillings). I selected black bean, chunky chicken, and juicy pork. After a few minutes, I was ready to dive in! They have a red and green hot sauce available to dress up your arepa, I tried some of each but probably needed a bit more to really get the flavor. But they were delicious! The arepa(cornmeal disk) was warmed up on a grill before being stuffed. The arepa itself was slightly crunchy on the outside but warm and chewy on the inside, absorbing the flavors of the different fillings. The hub was especially fond of the black bean. I barely got a bite. :P The beans were creamy, warm, and comforting. The cotija cheese added a hint of saltiness. The chicken filling was served cold, but it was refreshing and had plenty of avocado flavor. And finally, the pork was, as advertised, juicy and pull apart tender. The combo is a great snack. The smaller size of arepa reminds me of a lid from a container of frozen juice concentrate. But you get three of them! With yummy fillings! And nice people! It was enough to keep me full until dinner. The larger size is definitely a handful. From my first experience, it was filling, but I wasn’t starving when I ate. However, after knowing there is a combo option, it will be very hard for me to pick just one, when I can have three. I think I want TWO combos next time. :)

These Venezuelans make the BEST arepas in all of Seattle!!! They are definitely worth a trip to the Queen Anne Farmer’s Market or to the Freemont farmer’s Market! I recommend this to anyone that wishes to have a tasty arepa(cornmeal cake) with delicious meat! They make the pork and meat just how I remember the street vendors in Venezuela making them! SODELICIOUS!

Sometimes«making due» with a second option turns out better than what you intentionally were looking forward to. I was at the Fremont Market searching for ebelskivvers, and when I couldn’t find them I more than happily settled for these guys. Service here is friendly and comes with a smile. You also get your corn pockets of joy super quick as well! The combo option lets you choose three baby arepas for a measly $ 7. Hot, steamy, & fluffy — they come in a plethora of delicious flavors, and when you receive them they are overflowing with their stuffing. I enjoyed the pork and beef & cheese best. The avocado & cheese was tasty, but the contents were too cold compared to the piping hot cornmeal envelope it was wedged into. All in all, I was super happy with our choices — and even CW said they were delicious and he is a picky jerk sometimes when it comes to Latin styled street food. Next time I come to the Fremont Market i’ll be heading straight to these guys for a snack. No second choices this round.

This is such a great find!!! I really loved the Venezuelan food«Arepas». We ordered the chicken and avocado arepa«Reina Pepiada» and it was great! then ordered the«Domino» black beand and cheese and it was great, then ordered the shredded beef areal and it was also great. I love trying new types of food from around the world and really enjoyed this one. We found these guys at the Fremont Farmers’ Market. I hope they open a restaurant soon! :-)

Their arepas are very small compared to what I am used to.

My sister loved her avocado arepa from this wonderful little Fremont Sunday Market stand. Arepas are pretty hard to come by in most cities so don’t pass by these ones.
