Their website says 30-​day minimum processing time, and I guess they really mean it!
I mailed in my tourist-​visa application (for multiple entry) and received the visa exactly 5 weeks later (35 days including postal time). I had to cancel my flight tickets :-/​.
When I applied for single-​entry visas to the Los Angeles consulate in 2011 and 2008, I got the visa back in 1 week both times. YMMV.
This Seattle consulate did give me a multiple-​entry visa valid for 9 years, so I can’t complain too much :)

I see the two reviews above — they probably had better experiences — as also the fact that this is the Canadian (read: «nice guys») consulate; however my own experience was less than pleasant.
The lady at the counter was rude, cut me short and had me go back for some extra documentation which wasn’t explicitly mentioned on their site. Turns out there’s a separate page for the Seattle office and it has a different list of documents however it’s deceptively hidden and no one answered the phone when I called in beforehand to double-​check.
This is the kind of place that makes me want to wish that I was dealing with a machine instead of a person.

Honestly, I can’t say enough about the people who work here and the services provided. I’ve been encountering many obstacles in my application for citizenship for my youngest kid (it was so easy 13 years ago when I applied for my eldest. TImes have changed, in many ways, I suppose). The people here really care, and they have helped me navigate the red tape and all the snafus only I could possibly encounter (if there’s a glitch to stumble upon, leave it to me to do so!). E-​mails are returned promptly; when they say they will follow up on something, they do; when there’s any confusion about paperwork or documentation or policies, they clarify.
My only semi-​gripe? I had an appointment one morning there with someone I had been in e-​mail contact with for over a month about my kid’s application. When I arrived at the Consulate (a serene décor on the 6^th floor of a building right by Westlake Center. The place was so soothing, the palette so subdued, with coffee table books on Canada in French. I felt so… at home!), I was brought into a room for my appointment. The room was small, sterile, and there was a glass or lucite partition between me and the person I had the appointment with! This really surprised me! I felt I was visiting a prisoner at Sing Sing or something; it was reminiscent of a scene from Prison Break! I guess this took me aback because, after all my communications with this man, and all the help he had given me, I felt as though we had a working relationship of sorts. And this sterile room and partition made the whole process and relationship seem, suddenly, cold and impersonal and beaurocratic (whereas before, for weeks, it seemed that they really cared. And I still feel that they do. But it was a strange disconnect in play, suddenly). Anyhow, that brief appointment with the glass partition between me and my consulate contact, in that cold, sterile room, was the only odd occurrance in what otherwise has been stellar service, contacts and assistance.

Prompt and super efficient service! Needed to get a Canadian tourist visa and the procedure was painless. I emailed the consulate before-​hand regarding procedures and fees and received a prompt reply! A+
Arrived at 9am, took a number, proceeded to counter, provided my passport and forms and was asked to return at 2pm for return pick up.
Received my visa/​passport at 2pm with no hassle. A++ Excellent service and wonderful staff!
