Burdick Brewery

Located in the South Park neighborhood just down the hill from White Center, Burdick brewery is part of a unique brew community of small craft breweries. They even share the building with another brewery.
Right now as start ups, the atmosphere is cozy and intimate. They open their garage roll up door and just like that, an instant tap room! They usually have 2 or more beers on tap and they’ll let you have a sample too. I really like their IPA. On some weekends when the weather is warm, they will have live music and on other nights, you’ll usually see some game up on the big screen.
These guys are the real deal brewers and take massive pride in their craft. If you love beer and a unique experience, I totally recommend that you visit Burdick and grab a pint or two or three…

Burdick is among our favorite breweries in Seattle. Conveniently located in South Park it’s an easy stop on my from work. They brew 4 – 5 varieties of beer but the IPA, Amber and summer ales are my favorite. Max is really great. He’s the owner, bartender and brewer. The tap house is located in a really great building shared by another awesome brewery. All my friend are really excited when I show then this place. Highly recommended!

I am long overdue to post a cluster of brewery reviews. I went to Burdick a while ago. We hit a gold mine of breweries in the South Park area. Burdick is right next door to Lowercase Brewing so you can try out two breweries all in one shot!
I got the Belma IPA and it was so good! Hops have citrus notes but you can’t always tell depending what beer you are drinking. In this case the citrus is amplified which makes for a mighty fine IPA!
The staff are really cool here too!

Love this brewery and its owner, Max! He was super-​friendly when my friends and I were there, talking to us about his beers and his space. Very cool spot & delicious craft beers!

Great beer, and a really nice brew master /​host. Sit at the bar, be his friend.

Burdick has made it to my top favorite Washington Breweries. The South Park has had three new nano breweries open in the last 6 months, so I thought it only made sense to organize a Brewery Crawl in the area. Burdick was third on the list, but we ended up going here 2^nd because we thought it was it’s next door neighbor Lowercase Brewery. The first thing we were asked when we walked in was «you know this is Burdick, not Lowercase, right?». That made us laugh because the group I was with and the person who met us there all thought it was Lowercase. Point is: It’s very easy to walk into the wrong brewery since they are so close to each other. Pay attention to the sandwich boards!
The owner (or brewer) was super nice and talked to us about our brewery tour in South Park & about the other breweries in the area. They are all pretty close and help each other out. A friend I was with brews beer and even told him to bring by some of his brews! We all got a sampler of all their beers. Their Nitro Red Ale is what blew me away. Red Ales tend to be a little hard. This one was so smooth. It’s undoubtedly the best red ale I have ever had.
Love Burdick and cannot wait to see them grow out of the nano brewery stage because they deserve to be out there on bars draught list.

This place really is phenomenal. Nice minimalist décor that highlights local South Park artists with inexpensive delicious beers. On top of that the atmosphere is totally neighborly and inclusive. Walk in and introduce yourself to the people having a good time and you’ll likely end up with some new friends. Also the first Saturday of the month they put on a waffle breakfast with amazing coffee brewed by Mae James. Burdick really is the neighborhood bar everyone wishes for!

Great beer and excellent customer service worth the short trip out of your typical neighborhoods in Seattle. Love that you can hit three breweries in one short trip.

Excellent beer, friendly brewer, nice small space in quiet part of town. I really enjoy Burdick it is now one of my favorite places to drink a beer in Seattle. If you go here don’t go to Lowercase and think you’ve gone to Burdick. Burdick is the same building but around the corner.

Love to see new breweries open up in off the beaten path areas!
This places is dog friendly, has friendly staff and most importantly great beer!

didn’t get the «friendly vibe» others have raved about, but did get hit with a thick brown wall of hipstertude. Apparently Friday nights are private parties, but the door was left open for some reason. Good luck getting a beer before getting the scenester stare-​down. Beer is meh, been done before by Schooner Exact and many others. Won’t be back.

The beer is a product of good craftsmanship and thoughtfulness especially with the barrel-​aged selections! With every sip the complexity and balance of flavors cause my taste buds to thirst for more!
The coffee also has the mark of a job well done. This is no home roaster turned micro-​roaster, the care and delicate touch that has gone into the roast allows the fullness of each origin of the bean to come to its best performance. The bouquet and balance of the Columbia roast were excellent!

LOVE LOVE LOVE the beer here! Stumbled upon this great place scanning the WBAL website for new breweries to check out. We go back at least every other week to have the beer and enjoy the wonderful atmosphere (almost living room feeling, very cozy and sophisticated at the same time) and super friendly neighborhood people hanging out. Max experiments quite a bit with barrel-​aged beers and I never thought I’d like it but he’s got a very tasty barrel aged blonde that is unique and good. The quality of beer in this place is amazing. They have enough consistency that we know the beer will be great, but enough variety that there’s usually something new on tap that we didn’t have the previous visit. I couldn’t recommend it more. It’s very much worth the drive… only about ten minutes south of downtown.
