Their website says open until 4:00 but handwritten on the sign says 3:00. I walked a long way to visit this place and their hours on the site are incorrectly listed. This place needs to update their hours on their site is accurately reflect«hours — flakey».I also arrived before 3:00 so the door hours are a lie too.

Unilocal literally removed my last update of this place. It is the King county health inspection report. I feel it’s totally relevant and important for people to see, so I’m posting it again. If you remove it again Unilocal you will be hiding relevant information people want to know before they eat somewhere. Why would you hide this information? The people at my office loved going to Buffalo Deli, so we would order from them a lot whenever meetings came up, but I have placed my last order with Buffalo Deli. I haven’t been in a while, so I don’t know if the food quality has changed, but the service definitely has. I placed an order to arrive at 11:45 because we had a meeting starting at noon. Giving them a little leeway I called at 11:55 to check on the status and make sure it was coming. The guy who picked up said they were slammed this morning so that’s why the order I had placed several days before hadn’t gone out yet, but that he was about to leave with it. It kind of felt like a cop out, but let it slide because sometimes things just happen. Knowing we were only a half mile away(and assuming he was biking) I told everyone in the meeting that the food would be about 5 minutes late. At 12:15 I called to see if the food was actually on its way. The guy who picked up said it would be about another 5 minutes, but it was on its way. I was pretty pissed off at this point, not only because my food was now going to be over a half hour late but because no one had bothered to contact me so that I could make other arrangements if needed. They also really made no effort at apology, just excuses, this time saying it was a problem with the fax machine even though I had placed the order online. 10 minutes later, still no food. 15 minutes later still not food. 30 minutes later… we never got our food and every time I called I would either get a busy signal or it would just ring. Things happen, but at some point you have to step up and say your sorry, but all they seemed to say was we don’t care about your business.

I miss this place. Their barbecue pulled pork sandwich was my regular. It was so messy good. Loved the gigantic pieces of garlic that sometimes snuck into my sandwich that just melted. It also came with pickles. I don’t like pickles, but theirs was different that went really went well with the sandwich. Hope this place is still there by the time we get to visit.

Always take the receipt. I really loved this place until this morning when my debit card was charged $ 8.91 for a half sub($ 5.50) and a bag of chips($ 1.25) and no tip. I personally don’t tip for picking up a sandwich and not getting really any service so my total was $ 7.43. But apparently that was not enough. The same thing has happened to my coworkers before and we all wish we still had the receipts to get our money back. Food is subpar and the staff really couldn’t care less about the customers.

This used to be one of my favorite spots for a really great quick lunch. Since the new owners took over the quality has gone down, the place is absolutely filthy and the last time i was there the staff said they were moving slow that day because they just don’t give a f@#*

This place is small and doesn’t seem like the cleanest joint in town. They advertise Boar’s Head meat but their deli case looks sad and kinda gross. I ordered the Reuben and it was just sort of blah, not very good at all. The wait bordered on being too long, and the sandwich and chips was $ 10! I don’t think I’ll be going back.

Working in a new location and was recommended by coworker to try them. The special was a philly with jalapeños, option of half or full sub. So delicious! Will be back soon for more subs! Perfect for grabbing a quick lunch.

I was looking forward to my first time after reading reviews. I suggest show up early, don’t push your luck, I did. Watched them lock the door as I was parking across the street 17 minutes before closing time. Oh well. Minus 2 stars for not being professional and sticking to posted hours.

Get the«ROASTBEEFKIMMELWICK.» I was a bit skeptical about this place at first, but after you try their sandwich you’ll change your mind. The roast beef is super tender and juicy as it’s dipped in au jus, and topped off with a horseradish mustard that adds a heavenly flavor profile. Price is a few dollars on the high side, but the quality of the sandwich pushes it to a 5. Not sure about the other sandwiches, but if you want to be safe, get the Kimmelwick.

The subs are great here! My favorite sandwich place, I just wish it was open during the weekends. The roast beef is superb, and the turkey is almost as delicious. Would recommend for a quick lunch in belltown

And I removed my last post because it was open, I got to eat here and it was yummy! I ordered the roast beef on kimmelwreck and then went next door to get a coffee. When I came back to pick up my sandwiches, the guy forgot to make them so I had to wait even longer. I got a whole sandwich and was surprised how small it was for the price. It was supposed to come with a pickle but they were out and didn’t tell me until I asked where my pickle was. I then had to ask for an extra side of the au jus because it was pretty dry. I was disappointed because the pictures from other Unilocalers looked juicy and over flowing with roast beef. You can see by my pictures that wasn’t the case. The reason they are getting 3 stars and not less is because the sandwich was very tasty. Maybe they were just having a bad day…

Ran in here for a quick lunch and wow, great little shop. Super friendly service and the sub was delicious. Also, it was pretty massive for the price. I got a whole thinking it would be the usual deli size but it most certainly was not. At least I won’t need dinner now! Unfortunately I am not usually in the area for lunch but if I am, definitely found my go to place.

Good selection of subs and sandwiches of all types for a lunchtime meal. + Good sandwiches + Daily specials are usually delicious + Cheap cookies to add to a sandwich — Small interior, and can get crowded at times.

Like everyone says, the beef on weck(full name: Roast Beef on Kimmelweck Roll) is delicious. The meat is juicy and flavorful and the service is fast. The roll is intensely salty and flavorful — a true sandwich experience. My only gripe is that the amount of horseradish mayonnaise is inconsistent and often I want more. I’m going to start asking for extra. Just the sandwich itself is not be a large lunch, and you’ll probably need an afternoon snack unless you order something like soup or chips on the side. Me? I’m content to eat an apple three hours later.

So whenever I’m obsessed with something(lately it’s Mad Men) I Google it like crazy. After eating their Roast Beef on Kimmelweck sandwich at Buffalo Deli, I’m OBSESSED with kimmelweck. When I lived on 1st Avenue in 2001, I loved their turkey sandwich and was excited to check up on them to see if Buffalo Deli is still as awesome. The roll, soft and tender, slightly salty and dusted in caraway seed, originated in Buffalo, New York and it’s no surprise Buffalo Deli serves it proudly. From their website: «Thinly sliced sirloin beef, dipped in hot au jus, served on a Kimmelweck roll with horseradish mayonnaise.» OMFG. It was absolutely FABULOUS. I don’t really like crust. I don’t really like bread that much… I don’t really like the ends of sandwiches. But at the glorious end… when I couldn’t eat anymore and there was more bread in my hands… I succumbed to the Kimmelweck.

It smells good in here. The synaesthetic reds and browns of cooking pastrami waft into my nostrils. There is a cute, frenetically talkative waitress behind the counter who reassures everybody that everything they have ordered is just *wonderful*. Well, I beg to differ a bit. The Sandwich-smith’s craftsmanship is a little lacking. I mean, I got a pastrami on rye, and it was just kinda uninspired and uninspiring. No toasting, nothing really other than bread and a bolus of pastrami with the slightest hint of mustard, which left my mouth a little dry. I felt the need for my vestigial nictitating membranes to kick in just so I could swallow each bite. For the price, this place just isn’t worth it. It’s also kinda cramped, with more outside, on-the-sidewalk seating than there is inside. This place filled my belly for lunch, but in no particularly memorable way.

I have been wanting to try Buffalo Deli since last fall when I worked next door and ordered food from them for my coworkers daily. I can never justify going there though considering I live so close, but I only have half-rotten produce at my house at the moment so today seemed like a good day to try it. I decided to gorge myself and order half of the buffalo chicken sandwich and a cup of matzoh ball soup. The buffalo chicken sandwich was delicious, other than the cheap sub bread that made it leak everywhere and ruined the last few bites. The buffalo chicken was actually chicken deli meat with buffalo seasoning on it, and they put spicy blue cheese mayonnaise and lettuce and tomatoes on it. I only ordered a half, but it was huge! The matzoh ball soup wasn’t such a winner though. The broth is really oily and it’s filled with nasty dark meat chicken chunks. After picking those out, I have a few carrots, onions and celery and one giant matzoh ball. The matzoh ball tastes more like a tortilla mushed into a ball though. Disappointing, but luckily the sandwich filled me up.
