The bagels are great however the staff has no interest in getting customers taken care of and a complete indifference in taking any food orders. It’s really too bad

Went back recently to give these folks a second chance. Ordered an everything bagel toasted w/butter. Walked out with a non-toasted plain bagel with cream cheese. I guess it really is that hard.

The good: Large bagel variety, most of which are vegan They don’t skimp on the cream cheese, and in fact they even have vegan cream cheese Friendly service The not-so-good: They don’t skimp on the cream cheese… always have to ask for LIGHT cream cheese otherwise you’ll end up with globs of it As others have mentioned, the service is very slow. When you’re thinking you can run it and order, and get out within just a few minutes… that is never the case, even if you are the only person in the store. Snail pace, which doesn’t work when you’re in a rush to get in the office! I usually order a bag of ‘em along with a container of the cream cheese to go… works for almost the whole week!

Sunday 5÷29÷2016 — Great Location when you show up early for a Mariner Game — Problems is — showed up at 10:30 am — just wanted a coffee and breakfast bagel… got out of there at 11:05 am — Only 2 people ahead of me and the sandwich maker only made 4 sandwiches before mine and it took him 35 minutes(and they where only toasted with cream cheese not sandwiches)… Then when he was making sandwiches — He sneezed into his hand(rubber glove on) and kept right on going… YUK — the barista dude was busy making latte’s but just put them on the counter… the people waiting did not know what it was or who ordered it… complete confusion because the dude making them could not remember which drink was what… Breakfast bagel sandwich when I did get it was YUK — The sausage was over microwaved and hard… The bagel was not toasted(not even warm)… 1 took one bite — I opened it up and examined it and threw it out. Great location but never again.

I got a bagel dog/dugout dog and the bagel was hard to chew. May have been stale. Don’t get the bagel dog unless you want to chew until your jaw hurts.

Lousy bagels and lousier service. Me and another customer that walked in 1 minute before me stood for SEVEN minutes watching the cashier train a kid on the espresso machine. Watching. No mention that he’d be right with us. Guess it’s ok to make us wait for this and not handle it after the customers were served. Second, the bagel was OK, but it tasted like yesterdays. The veggie cream cheese sucks. Not very clean either, obviously the two addt’l staff in the back standing by to spread cream cheese hadn’t been trained to wipe down tables yet. Won’t go back.

Good delicious bagels. Love how they have such a large variety of bagels, meats, and cream cheese’s! Only bad thing is that it is expensive! I’m not used to paying $ 12+ just for a bagel sandwich. My bagel ruben was $ 16 after taxes! But I guess I gotta pay to eat especially in the Sodo area with the high income tech workers/starbucks employees nearby. I’ll have to reduce my breakfast outings to Blazin’ Bagel to just 2x/week.

Came here for the first time today and ordered a breakfast sandwich. For blazing, the bagel was barely toasted, the egg was probably a single medium sized egg. The cheese was rigid and cold. And when I got into my car, the ham was missing. Went back in and told them they didn’t put ham in it, and that I want them to melt the cheese too. I get the sandwich back a few mins later, and now it has ham. Unfortunately, there is barely any ham, the bagel is colder than before, and the cheese is still rigid and unmelted. $ 5 for a bagel that barely has any filling? And after I gave them a $ 1 tip, and they messed up once, they do less than the bare minimum to fix the problem? Definitely won’t be going back. Only decent thing was the bagel — since it was of average quality.

This place is amazing! The food brings me back to Chicago… Let’s just say I’m one happy Jew! The vegan options are incredible, and you won’t be disappointed with the pickles. The only thing better than the food and atmosphere is the staff — what sweethearts!

Jeesh, delicious bagels and soup are two of the most difficult food items to come by in Seattle. Most people just recommend Einstein Bagels or simply Starbucks for bagels, but I took on the challenge to find a non-chain shop. While driving by(and then Unilocaling), I discovered Blazing Bagels(BB) and finally gave them a try. Their motto is «Best Bagels East of New York» yet we are as far west of New York you can get. Perhaps it’s the best outside of the United States(including Europe, Africa, Asia then to the West Coast)?? I just hope they didn’t mean West… They have two locations off of 1st Ave S., the other listing(1119) is the bakery. This one appears to be an old drive-up or automobile service station. They have a pothole-filled parking lot but it includes reserved parking spots just for BB customers. Walk in and it’s set-up like a deli. To the left and right of the doors are blue and white order slips. Blue = Pre-designed bagel sandwiches created by Blazing Bagels; White = Completely customizable bagel sandwiches with 48,874,148,416 combinations(per the chalkboard). They have many different cheeses(creamed and otherwise), meats, and salads. Of course, the counter has a humongous selection of bagels to choose from too. It’s basically an indecisive person’s worst nightmare!(You can never go wrong with a bagel dog though!) They have some neat planters with flowers made of bagels – pretty ingenious. I went basic with a toasted Melted Cheddar Bagel and Chive cream cheese. I will ask for light cream cheese next time because I wiped off blobs of it, although it was fresh tasting. The bagel itself was decent, not too thick or bland. According to the signs, their bagels are completely nut free and the schmears are preservative free. All in all, pretty decent bagels(for Seattle standards).

UPDATE: We had a rough trip to this establishment at the end of last year, and we consequently left a review to explain what happened. A representative from the company emailed me and was very polite and apologized for the inconvenience. She offered to send us coupons for free bagels for the next time we visited. However, it has been nearly 8 weeks and we never received anything in the mail! We did not necessarily want coupons to an establishment that we already had a bad experience at, but the fact that they contacted us and offered them and then didn’t even send them speaks volumes about why we had a bad trip in the first place! We will definitely never go here again.

Decent bagels regrettably staffed by the most incompetent people currently employed. Initially I was looking for a bagel place in Seattle that might compare to my favorite joint down in Phoenix. I’ve thus far been underwhelmed. There are some decent places doing some good bagels but nothing that stuck home. Blazing Bagels was much like this, though closer than many which had come before. Their texture was similar, taste was good, but just not quite right. And their sandwiches were nowhere near as tasty. Nonetheless at that point I would have given them a 3 – 3.5 star rating. After a number of visits I noticed frequent mix-ups and mistakes on orders or simply excessive waits in an empty establishment. However today was what took the cake. I put in an advance order for a dozen bagels yesterday around 2 p.m. The store was empty except me and both people working were at the register when I placed my order. I said I would be in between 1:30 and 2:30 to pick them up. So here I sit now, before 2:30, and they did not prepare my order and are now out of bagels. The employee working the counter merely offered a faint«Sorry, it was busy.» And then just stared at me. These bagels were intended as a gift for my parents on the other side of the state where bagels are barely edible in most instances. Now, this disinterested employee and the spectacular incompetence of the morning crew has turned me from ever eating here again and encouraging everyone I encounter to stay far away. A business which cannot deliver on its promises as a business deserves nothing but failure. It is only a shame this pit is in such a prime location. TL;DR — Lots of kitchen errors, incompetent staffing, incapable of delivering on orders. Update: I ate some of their bagels purchased by a co-worker. Barely edible trash. Find a bagel joint capable of even making bagels, this place is garbage on all fronts.

The bagels here are chewy and dense, and the sandwich ingredients are fresh and high quality. I love the diverse flavors that you can choose from. I always opt to make my own sandwich because none of their tried and true sandwiches have all the components I want in one sandwich. For about the same price $ 12 — $ 15 you can get a tailored sandwich. I like the toasted sundried tomato bagel with sundried tomato cream cheese, herbed turkey, ham, lettuce, tomato, cucumber, jalapeños, and pickles.

Amazing Bagels with a huge selection of varieties. Also lots of great sandwhich possibilites, choose between meats, vegetables, and a huge selection of spreads that they have. Seriously absolutely in love with this place can’t recommend it enough, definitely will be coming back frequently.

Definitely had a great first impression at this place. So many choices and only one stomach. Their variety of bagels and sandwich combinations had me overwhelmed, in a very good way. Everything can be made custom to your liking. Very big plus for me! Definitely will try it again and will update my review.

OK spot. Average bagels, nice open environment but I have had much, much better. Breakfast sandwich(bacon egg and cheese) was not good. Pre made bacon, yellow egg«hockey puck» like you get at Dublin donuts and cheese was not melted. Nice selection of juices and drinks but if bagels are the attraction I would say they need to step their game up

My first blazing bagel experience was in Redmond for a with work event. I was hooked! I believe there aren’t enough bagel shops in this world, and it seems BB is trying to change that. Who Ray! I suggest getting a jalapeño cheddar bagel with egg, bacon, and cheddar for breakfast. Their coffee isn’t my favorite, but I’m admittedly a coffee snob. Their fresh seizures squeezed orange juice is terrific though! Not that this should matter to anyone, but this location is a WSP hangout.
