Visited during happy hour tonight. Good deals on their wine by the glass and bottles… and the wine was decent. ;) Enjoyed the bruschetta de jour, small cheese plate and clams, as well as the cherry dessert trio. The bruschetta and dessert were delicious, and I would order both again in a heartbeat. The clams were tasty, and I would recommend them as an appetizer. The small cheese plate was just that — a small cheese plate. Cheese, crackers and some jam. Yummy, but nothing to return for on it’s own. There were other great deals on their HH menu worth checking out!

I like this place. The menu is somewhat limited, but the quality of the food makes up for that. I’m a fan of the steak and it’s my go to meal, but when I stray from the norm I’m not disappointed, it always a nice meal. They have nice stiff drinks that taste great. Try the old fashioned, you can thank me later. When I have friends in town, I make it a point to bring them to Betty.

After an afternoon at Seattle Rep to see Sherlock Holmes we headed up to Queen Anne for happy hour and dinner. We came in about 45min before our reservation and happy hour was just in the bar/lounge area. We got a couple glasses of wine and chatted a bit before we were seated at our table. All wines are $ 6/glass during happy hour. Betty offers some nice dishes and other food options; the food is creative and fresh. My boyfriend loved the roasted chicken! I liked my ricotta stuffed tortellini with mushrooms. For $ 20 it would have been nice to have more than 7 tortellini, but it was tasty and light; I hate heavy creamy sauces with pasta. We had great service and a good meal.

I like Betty — it’s a pretty good choice if you’re on Queen Anne and order carefully — but I wouldn’t go out of my way to eat here. The food is decent — as has been noted by others, some plates are great, some are pretty mediocre. I’d follow the reviews and go with things people noted liking. The steak + frites is solid, the vegetarian pasta plate I had was so skippable I don’t remember what was in it. The thing I really don’t like is the atmosphere. It’s dark but not elegant — the strange curtains give the place an oppressive feel and the air doesn’t seem to circulate too well. It kind of feels like a fancy diner crossed with an old bar. Not sure if that helps when you make a miss on ordering. A décor refresh and consistency in the menu would help this place a lot!

Went in with high expectations for the their roasted chicken. When I received it — I was disappointed in the portion size — especially considering the $ 19 price tag. Overall, the dish tasted great but it left me feeling far from satisfied. Beyond that, the staff and ambience were great.

Betty is a true doggie bag place. As you arrive the first thing you will see is, honestly, the ASS of the hostess/cashier popping out of the window because they have her in a very awkward place. They have no way of cooling the place so when it’s hot you will also see a fan next to her ass. You go in, sit down, then have to wait forever to eat. The food looks fairly good, especially the burgers, and tastes fairly good and the portions are large, but after waiting forever and filling up on water and other drinks, you almost can’t enjoy the food, you fill up quickly, and either half the plate is wasted when you go home. Betty has nice décor, basically, all the wood is nice. The place seems to appeal to old tourists meeting they grandkids in Seattle.

Big fan of this place. Walked in on a Friday night with no reservations and they sat us both right away at the open Kitchen bar area. Servers were great. Food was fantastic. I’m not a pasta guy but I was watching then make it from scratch and had to get it, perfect. Wife got the burger(just because you are staring at them making it all night, you just need to order one for the table) and it was one of her favorite. Octopus for the app was cooked perfect. Really looking forward to going back.(and the Gin cocktail was excellent).

A lot of feelings. Pros: Steak+frites Fried risotto mozzarella balls Friendly server Cons: Most of the food Slow service Slowwwww food Timing was off for food– steaks were piping hot and fish was lukewarm and overlooked Swordfish was terrible Had to ask for salt and pepper– this place is nice but not that nice… We got our appetizers super fast, and then waited almost an hour for our meals. There appeared to be some sort of issues in the kitchen because you could tell the fish was cooked long before the steaks which was just wrong. Some of the worst swordfish I have ever eaten. Worse than frozen trader joes swordfish even. Undercooked side potatoes and really bad kale, really bad broccoli rabe. Do yourself a favor and just don’t eat seafood here. We also had the octopus and it was basically inedible. BUT steak and frites was delish. I would go back and eat that but not much else. Again, really nice server with a great attitude, everything else just fell short.

As a California native, I feel like it’s my duty to let any others who miss and crave In n Out know that the fries that come with the Ribeye Steak & Frites taste soo close to In n Out fries! And the steak isn’t bad either. I think I ate almost all the fries before I even started the steak haha. Would definitely return, but will probably always order the steak and frites :)

Had an amazing dinner at Betty. Caught the end of happy hour, tried the duck pistachio pâté and oysters. Our server accidentally ordered us 6 tacos instead of 6 oysters, so we lucked into trying one of those as well. Entrees were huge, will be back next time we are in Seattle. Great service as well.

How have I not reviewed Betty? Meals are always amazing and service is fantastic. Make a reservation on weekends and get the fish du jour, you won’t regret it. Prices are about $ 20 – 28 for entrees and $ 10 for cocktails. The happy hour deals are pretty good, and it’s a more chill vibe then too. This is the kind of place where you can dress fancy if you want but no one will look at you funny if you don’t.

Already can’t wait to go back here. Extremely reasonable prices for great portions and delicious food! Salads — yum! The sardine salad was really good for any of you who like that! Nicely grilled sardines that went really well with the apple slices, frisee lettuce, and citrus dressing. The mixed green salad has a great dressing too and is simple but refreshing. I usually don’t order chicken at restaurants but I heard it was really good so I gave it a whirl. WOAH. So good! Perfectly cooked — seriously. I might not be opposed to ordering chicken anymore. Loooved the potato purée and the brussels sprouts that came with it. Make sure to order some bread to soak up the sauce at the bottom too :) I got to try a bite or two of the pork and the scallop entrees as well — also amazing! Unfortunately we were all too full for dessert, but I’ll make that happen next time. I’d love to sit at the counter in front of the chefs and watch them cook next time — I love the open kitchen style!

We tried to make reservations on a Saturday night, however they were booked. I get that it’s a Saturday night. We decided to take our chances and walk in for dinner. We were promptly seated at the counter and that was fine, but I asked if a table was available(I saw 5 open) and was told no. Food was good, the burger was fine nothing too crazy about it. The cassoulet was not memorable, I’ve had better in the city. I’d definitely try the steak if we come back. Service was attentive and friendly, the cooks at the line were friendly as well even though they were busy. One thing that was a bit annoying, mid way through our meal I noticed servers were folding napkins at a table. Maybe not say you’re completely booked all night if tables are going to be used for side work.

We wanted to eat steak and Betty seemed appetizing on pictures. Great and fast customer service – despite it was Saturday dinner, we didn’t have to wait for our table and it wasn’t packed either. Both of us got Rib-eye Steak & Frites, medium rare and one medium. I must say, it was one of the best rib-eye we’ve had! It was flavorful and cooked perfectly. Bf doesn’t really eat fries but he finished his whole plate. Lol Oh Betty, great quality food and I miss the steak frites. So, if you’re craving rib-eye, check out sexy Betty!

We stopped by Betty on our walk around Queen Anne. The food earned 4 stars, but there were a couple of things that were a bit off. Betty won our business off the street due to their happy hour specials on drinks and appetizers. We were seated and greeted by a nice server, but when we tried to order from the happy hour menu, we were told it only applied to those sitting at the bar. We didn’t want to be a pain, so we stayed put, but I wish we were told this when being seated. The drinks we did order were really, really delicious so we ended up happy. We ordered bread and olive oil/balsamic. The bread was $ 1, which I thought was weird. When paying $ 20 – 30 for a meal, it seems like charging for bread is a bit silly. We ordered the heirloom tomato, mozzarella, and basil salad followed by the summer vegetable succotash. Both plates were out of this world good. The flavors were perfect and the portions were hearty. But back to the bread… When we finished our meal, our server asked«Can I bring you some extra bread for the leftover sauce?» Sure! That would be great. Not surprising, there was an extra $ 1 added to our bill. I’m not cheap and the $ 1 didn’t matter of course. It just seems like a little thing and I would have easily upped my tip to cover the gesture, but maybe it’s just me! Loved our food and would come back to sit at the bar for the happy hour specials we were craving.

This unassuming gem sits atop Queen Anne hill right on the Ave. Betty’s was sublime. Our server, John, was friendly quick to off excellent suggestions for our personal tastes. This place is humming. Glad we arrived at 5:30 as we were attending a concert down at Key Arena. The wait staff was very attuned to concert crowds and got our dinner in a perfect amount of time. Their sister reataurant, Crow, from what I hear is the go to spot for pre-concert events but Betty’s top of the hill location is a great out of the way option with easier free parking and just a quick $ 2.50/person bus ride to Key Arena. Okay, the food was delicious. I shared the golden beet salad with my sister in law and my entrée was the mushroom tagliatelle. Just the best! My hubby and others ordered the chicken which they needed ½ hour to roast. It was also delicious with every bite consumed. We lika this hot spot and will be back!

Dark, intimate, romantic place to have a dinner! Not too quiet either and definitely not a stuck-up place, though swanky. Prices were extremely reasonable, $ 19 for most entrees and the portions were HUUUUUUUUUUUGE. I hope to come back for happy hour one day /shakes fist Roast chicken: roasted PERFECTLY(mm, crispy browned skin) and came on a bed of mashed potatoes with brussel sprouts(which were roasted perfectly, I hate it when brussel sprouts are undercooked, or too salty) Pork belly & duck: I didn’t get this or try it, but my mom did. She got a huge portion of both proteins which came on a bed of lentils and it looked AMAZING and. really hearty. and I couldn’t believe it was only $ 19 Come here for a nice dinner without breaking the bank!

I love Betty, not Veronica(for you Archie fans)! I was turned on to Betty because 1 night I was craving rib eye and called out a friend to see of he wanted to join us for dinner at another well known Seattle steakhouse establishment. He recommended Betty for half the price! So we were off to Betty on Queen Anne. It was a Saturday night, without reservations, duh! Isn’t that how cravings always happen? Anyway, we found ourselves at the bar, which is my preferred seating area. Surprisingly it was not busy in the bar, but that would soon change, as the night progressed it was filling with regulars. The bartenders were really cool and entertaining, plus they made great food recommendations! Transition to food: we shared a white salad as recommended by the bartender. It was light, crisp and refreshing! It had fennel, celery, apples, Parmesan cheese topped with anchovies. We still dream about that salad! For our meal I had the rib eye(medium rare) and frites and it satisfied my cravings! My hubby had the slow cooked duck with pork belly, which was fatty, moist, salty and oh so good! And dessert! There’s always room for dessert! We had the pear tart, it was a bit more crusty than I would like, but it was sweet with a bit of tartness and the vanilla ice cream was a great accompaniment. Oh, Betty! You are definitely a must! Great food + great staff = a great experience and a very satisfied me! :)

Betty is cute and intimate. With dim lighting and half bench-seating, friends and partners look like they’re in their own little worlds, sharing secrets that no one else can hear. My friends and I came for dinner prior to heading off to a show. To our pleasant surprise, we made it during HH so we were able to peruse the HH menu as well as the regular menu. We shared some clams(well-seasoned with flavorful broth), scallops(sweet and tender), fried cheese curds(crispy), and fries while others ordered full entrees. Everything we ate was solid; nothing extraordinary or out-of-the-box creative, but still really good. Our group had a great time and service was awesome. I wouldn’t hesitate to come back.

I rarely give the full five starts but my experience at Betty’s is worth every one! They have the most attentive staff I have experienced! Not once did any one of our water glasses go half full without being refilled. We ordered the cheese plate and fried cauliflower to start! Both were delicious. The cauliflower reminded me of a traditional Lebanese dish. I had the scallops for my entrée– they were perfectly seared and seasoned. For dessert we had the chocolate plate and the warm winter squash cake. Will be back soon
