As a landscape architect, it is refreshing to work with an architect whose vision extends beyond the walls. I’ve worked with Ben on the renovation of a contemporary home in Spokane for clients who wanted a rich and complex woodland planting enveloping their modern home of bold and simple volumes. Ben’s detailing of patios, decks and pergolas with materials and custom finishes added synergy to the project by integrating the architecture with the garden. Ben has strong, clear design ideas which he communicates effectively and with regard for others. I would recommend Ben to clients who are sensitive to the interrelationship of landscape and architecture and value a finely tuned, integrated landscape as an essential part of their project.
