General Contractors have it tough – they have to work with sometimes undependable subcontractors and sometimes flighty homeowners. I get that. It’s a rough job, and can be thankless. Beacon Remodeling has some outstanding subs – including artisan-quality carpenters and relationships with some of the best specialists in the home remodel business. So why the low review? Poor communication and an overall inability to step and take full responsibility for their decisions. I’m acting as my own general for the remainder of this huge project because we ran out of money, time, and – most of all – patience. My advice: check references very very carefully. Ask specifically about budget and timeline, not just quality of work and ability to BS.
