Excellent sandwiches. Great little neighborhood joint in Beacon Hill. Had the Italian and it was d-lish. Check it out.

Was looking for lunch and there is simply not too much to choose from in this area. I ordered the«Mexican». The flavor combination was good, I just wasn’t expecting sliced sandwich meat. It made the sandwich unappealing. I would be tempted to try the other sandwiches if it included better quality meat.

Funky sandwich spot in Beacon Hill. Super friendly owner. Service can be slow, so don’t expect to be in and out, but if you have time, it’s well worth a visit. I’ve ordered a few of their options, my favorite has always been El Centro, kind of basic but I enjoy the flavors. I just dig this place, seems to be a pre-gentrification kind of joint that will slowly go the way of the dodo bird, so enjoy it while you can.

I still really love this place. It went through a tough time with the previous owner, but now it’s back to the original owner and he’s corrected so many issues! I mean… I was able to get a sandwich and be in and out within 7 minutes(yeah I timed it, I was curious hahaha). Their recipes have changed but they’re still fabulous, and they brought the potato salad back(yay!). Also, just saw on their Facebook page that if a business orders over 10 sandwiches(for lunch, meeting, or what have you) they’ll reward the person who suggested the order with 3 free 16oz lattes or mochas from The Station coffee shop! That’s rad. Great way to support our local and poc owned business!

They used to have the best tuna melt in the city. There menu has changed and I can’t force myself to return.

Holy cow. I used to come to this place on occasion but it has been awhile. I stepped in today and they have a whole new menu. I decided to give their new Cuban sandwich a try. Needless to say, this was the best freaking Cuban sandwich I had ever had. Pulled pork, ham, swiss, pickles, and mustard. All on a totem roll, and was pressed properly and piping hot. They didn’t skimp on the meat ATALL. It is rare that a mid-sized sandwich will fill me up, but this one most definitely did. If you have a small appetite, you’ll definitely be taking it to go. If you enjoy Cuban sandwiches, and you haven’t had the one here, you really freaking need to.

Slightly confused by the ratings… So, maybe this wasn’t fair but my coworkers and I had a hankering for a sandwich in Georgetown, but due to lack of parking and some misguided turns, we ended up back on I-5 and I suggested we check out this place, since I’ve had it bookmarked for a while. This sandwich did not satisfy us at all! First off, it took a long time to make because there was one person building the sandwiches during the lunch hour. The eating area is so tight, and I’m not saying the kitchen is spacious, but it was more than half of the storefront. We all ordered what the reviewers had suggested, and none of them felt different than what we could have picked up from the Safeway deli — and they weren’t even toasted or served at least warm. Super disappointing.

The El Centro was by far my favorite sandwich in Seattle. Compared to the greasy mess of a Paseo/Honeyhole/etc sandwich, these sandwiches are a perfect mix of healthy, delicious, and quality-looking ingredients. I crave it every weekend. The problem is — I’ve only been able to successfully get a sandwich there once. I’ve now been 4 other times where they’ve been unexpectedly closed during their normal hours. It seems that sometimes there’s a note on the door or a post on their Facebook page, but usually not. Maybe they’re just not open weekends anymore(or open at all)? I will probably end up bumping my review once I successfully get another sandwich, but until then… let’s hope I don’t give up.

I was very happy with this place when we first moved to Beacon Hill in August 2014. I love a good sandwich and this place fit the bill. Then the quality and service went down, so we put it on the shelf for a little bit. Tried again and it was ok; but what really bothered me was the review I read about how the staff treated customers. I decided I was done. I didn’t want to go somewhere that treats people like that; even though I really, really wanted to support a place in my neighborhood. Then I read managements response and decided to give it another chance since they said they were working on customer service. The lady working the counter was friendly and made the sandwiches quickly. The quality was down, the restaurant wasn’t very clean, and I just don’t think I’ll keep trying to see if it gets any better. Makes me sad.

Definitely does not live up to a 4.5 star Unilocal review. Mediocre at best. The guy behind the counter insisted that we not«fuck up» the fusion of the sandwich by adding ingredients. Maybe you should make your fusion taste better, cause Subway right around the corner.

Ahh best sandwich in town and in the area! I usually grab one of their vegan options but I’ve tried quite a few(can’t get enough!). Add cheese to the Captain Planet but if meat if on the menu, THEHIPPIE! Will be back. It’s the small details like the house seasoned chips and oven meltes cheese that make each bite heaven.

This place is just down the street from my apartment. Saw the Deli sign when I moved in, and knew with my love of sandwiches, it was going to be a must-try. The first time I ate here, Paolo insisted I dine in the small shop to really experience the quality and freshness of the sandwich. He wasn’t kidding! This dude’s attention to detail when it comes to putting together a sandwich is on point. Beyond the execution, there’s some serious love on the menu that is obviously personally inspired and creative. Stuff that you’d definitely see in any sandwich joint but done up in a unique way. Potato salad and spicy pickles round out the sandwich experience here. Get both! Since my first experience, I’ve taken my sandwich to go, and it’s still a very much enjoyable meal. Paolo is really the owner/operator taking this shop to the next level — he has treated me like a friend every time I’ve entered the deli. He cares about his customers and his community, and it shows.

I knew I had to get a sandwich after the owner charmed me in with his talented singing. He made up a song about sandwiches on the spot, how cool is that? They have a very diverse selection of items to choose from, you’ll definitely find something that pertains to your tastebuds even if you’re vegan. The sandwiches appear to be a fusion of italian, spanish and asian flavors. As a newbie I went with El Centro which should really be called El Excellente. Not only was it delicious but it had a lot of flavors going on! It comes with homemade seasoned chips which was topped with lots of spices. You could really tell the owner puts a lot of passion in this place. He checked up on us while we ate and before we ordered he proudly explained all of his signature sandwiches. Indefinitely one of the best sandwiches I’ve had and might be the best one in Seattle so far.

Sandwich was horrible. Had the piggy whatever sandwich. The meat seem like low quality cold cuts you’d find at a continental breakfast at the Motel 6. The lettuce was brown(see photo) The pickle juice from the pickle they stuck in the box was soaked up in the bread. The bread was so so. It needed to be buttered before being toasted. Blah. No go

Sammiches were on hit!!! I ordered the Pizza and my lady ordered the El Centro, and both were hella good. The pizza joint had that healthy subtle basil and tomato flavors, backed by the savory flavor of toasted cold cuts and melted cheese all on a toasted sub. I was told this was better than the actual pizzas around towns, and that was the truth boy! My lady’s El Centro was off the hook too. Delicious chicken, with some avocado smooveness, accented with some gawt damn good crunchy salty bacon. You can’t go wrong with that. Best of all was the ambiance. Paolo and his brother Josh make the place feel like home. It’s like Cheers or something, because you get a great sense of community talking to the cats running the show, as well as the other clients who slide through. Definitely come through, get some hella good grub, and chop it up with good folks. Great way to enjoy the afternoon.

Today I had one of the best vegan sandwiches of my life, the Captain Planet. Often when I go to sandwich shops the vegetarian options are pretty uninspired compared with the meat options, but that is not the case at this place. As a vegetarian I didn’t feel left out of the good food. Also, you can tell that Paolo and Alex are lovers of good food. There is a certain care put into each sandwich that is rare these days. Keep up the good work guys! I will definitely visit again when I can.

Great little local sandwich spot. They’ve got a creative menu, lots of options, very friendly and accommodating(if you wanted to swap some ingredient out). I had the El Centro, totally good, and my wife had the Route 60, which was awesome. Potato salad comes with(for like $ 7.50 total) and is fantastic. Go to this place and eat.

Awesome sandwich shop! I heard that they had vegan options so I had to check it out. I went with The Supreme, one of the two vegan sandwiches they had on the wall menu. My fiancé got the special which was a buffalo(house made sauce) chicken, bacon, and provolone(plus veggies) sandwich. We were very happy with our choices. Both were on delicious hoagie rolls. They were out of potato salad so we got chips on the side. The Supreme came with Field Roast, avocado, aioli, lettuce, tomato, jalapenos, cucumber, and cilantro. You know, I really appreciate a lot of tasty ingredients on a vegan sandwich. Sometimes when you go out for a vegan sammie it’s just whatever-whatever without cheese and mayo and it’s not all that special. NOTSO at Beacon Ave. Everything was piled high, fresh and delicious! This one is also pretty spicy, FYI. We got our sandwiches to go but as we were waiting we were treated to one of the proprietors singing and playing an acoustic guitar. This could have gone bad fast but the dude was really good!!! He played some Amy Winehouse and a few Sam Cooke songs. That pushed this place to five stars for sure. Can’t wait to go back!

This place is pretty awesome and I’m not even a sandwich person. I mean I’ll eat it but I don’t go out of my way to hunt one down… especially now with the whole Subway yoga mat bread thing that has been all over the news. It’s perfect to take to the park for a picnic and hands down a way better option than a fast food chain. I am a fan of real food & local eats. The sandwiches are named after local businesses and such. Great little hole in the wall for a tasty sandwich. We shared the Pac Med & Engine 13 — both delicious. You can have the Engine 13 in three different spice levels — 1, 2 or 3. It’s all about the sauce! If you like Filipino food there’s a fusion sandwich for something different and unique. Parking is free on the street but we had to circle a couple of times to find a spot.
