As an employee of the university, we have had many events where Bay Laurel will cater for our events. You can either pick the«to go» pick up option, delivery drop off, or servers to actually setup and serve during your event(which could get pricey). Overall, the food has been pretty good. I like their breakfast items and there are some appetizers that are really tasty. Although there are times when there is no other option other than to choose Bay Laurel(based on room restrictions), I think it is a good choice and they are reasonably priced.

I appreciated how easy it is to work with Bay Laurel Catering from the initial contact to service. They arrived earlier than expected, set everything up for our refreshment break and then arrived early again with our lunches. Everyone thought that their lunch was great and I appreciate their ability to accommodate special requests. It was great working with Bay Laurel and if you are looking for a caterer, check out their services.

I have discerned no improvement to date. Worse, it appears that the roast beef in their sandwiches is actually processed roast beef. It’s a very salty, gray meat product. I recommend the turkey and cranberry, instead. It’s cloying, to be sure, but is at least a known quantity(and, miraculously, contains cream cheese rather than mayo).

Stay away from their sandwiches! Wilted lettuce and soggy bread.

Bay Laurel Catering provides on-campus catering services for events held at the University of Washington. I recently attended a conference held on campus, and I was so pleased with the food and beverage service provided for us that I took one of their cards so I could write about it. The meeting I attended only ordered a very simple«breakfast on the go» service with fruit, pastries, coffee, tea, and juice, but it was among the highest quality I’ve had for meetings such as these. I’m still thinking about the bear claws, and the coffee was very good quality coffee. Looking at their website, they have an impressive array of breakfast, lunch, dinner, dessert, themed buffet, barbecue, and seasonal specialty options. It certainly seems like a top notch operation. Were I a planner for an event being held on campus, I wouldn’t hesitate to use this service.
