Avoid by all means.
This place has really gone downhill since I took my dog here last. I don’t know if they employ different groomers now, but it was going on 4 pm today and my 8 pound toy poodle had been there since 10 to 1 pm today. I called, because I hadn’t heard from them, and had a work meeting at 5 pm, I couldn’t get out of. The groomer Molly said he’d just been bathed, that’s it. she said he’d be ready by 5:30. WTF! plus I could hear my dog screaming in the background. I have my dog groomed every 4 – 6 weeks, for the past 7 years. It does not take that long, unless they are double booking, which it seems they are doing here. The attitude I got from the staff walking through the door was ice cold, granted I was ticked off, and just wanted to get my dog, so he could get out of the crate he was locked up in, in back. So basically I paid $ 50 for a bathe and brush, with teeth brushing. so overpriced, I could have done that myself! I left 0 tip. The bitchy attitude, shitty customer service, and unsympathetic attitude and lack of an apology will prevent me from EVER going back. Small businesses take note, you need to earn my business, your not the only game in town, continue with shit customer service, watch your business dry up. Plenty of other quality groomers, just around the corner in lower queen anne is worth the drive. Bark in Style, your employee’s are on par with Petco.

Very slow service. Took my dog there twice and both times they charged more on my credit card, when I called to complaint they seemed not to care at all and simply told me to stop by to pick up the $ 10.00 overcharged.
It’s not about the money It’s about customer service! Besides, don’t really think they washed my dog properly.
Never coming back.

Friendly staff, and great Prices. Its my preferred dog groomers. If you have a stinky pup give em a call.

I don’t come here for grooming, but I do for nail trims and dremmels.
My corgi has a really, really hard time with both of these. Bark In Style is sweet to him, understands my concerns about his behavior when stressed by the trim, and has always handled things so well.
I’ve been coming here for five years. They really do good work.

I bring my cat here once a year for a ‘lion cut’ during shedding season. After trying other groomers this is the best place I’ve found. It can be hard to accommodate a cat, especially a skiddish one with all those dogs around. But they do a great job and are wonderful with the animals. The owner is especially nice and sweet and often does my cat herself because she knows how jumpy she is. I never thought I’d take a cat in for a hair cut but it makes it so much easier in the spring when we don’t have to deal with fur all over the place! And she looks so freaking cute with a mane and a poof on the end of her tail!

Came back to give this business another chance and pups was back to looking like a princess! We will be back.

Everyone was super friendly from the moment I stepped in the door (even considering the fact that I was 10 minutes late). My groomer made the whole experience really personalized and explained exactly what she planned on doing and why. She even gave me lots of really helpful suggestions about my dog. Everyone there was really nice to my dog. I’ll be back for sure!

Our dog is afraid of having her nails clipped.
Somehow we were able to avoid dealing with it for a couple years, but we knew it was time to bite the bullet when we started referring to her claws as «talons.»
After procrastinating as long as humanly possible, we decided to take her to the professionals at Bark In Style for her first nail trim.
Based on my experience trying to clip her nails at home, I was expecting an epic barking, squirming meltdown.
When we got there, the groomer warmly greeted my dog and gave her some treats. They let me come back and stand with my dog while they did their work, and the groomer’s calm demeanor seemed to put her at ease.
The whole process took like 2 minutes. And, although my dog wasn’t psyched about it, there was no epic meltdown. She even accepted some treats from the groomer and licked her on the face when it was over!
We walked out exclaiming, «I can’t believe we didn’t do this earlier!» And we’ve been back multiple times since.
Might be the best $ 5 (+ tip) I’ve ever spent.

Really a great place. We bring our Golden Retriever in for a «Tidy Trim,» and it’s the best $ 45 (before tip) ever. The groomers do a wonderful job on her ears and paws — always very neat and even. The service would be good at a higher price, and is stellar for what you pay. Highly recommended!

We only bring our dogs in to get their nails trimmed and every time they help us right away, they’re great with our dogs and super friendly. Plus it’s totally inexpensive, especially compared to the vet. Great place! Thank you.

I LOVE THIS PLACE! They are always accommodating, even at VERY short notice. Baby, my Chihuahua, isn’t the best with strangers and the team here really do an excellent job at making it easy. Thank you, Bark in Style!

My dog got only a nail trim here, so I can’t speak to their cuts. I can speak to their lack of professionalism.
My dog has absolutely no problem with a nail trim; he’ll lay on the floor and put his paw out for you. I told the groomer this and she said «Ok!» and let him directly to a table, onto which she proceeded to lift my 80 lb dog. He froze and practically slid off because his nails were long and, since he’s very long, the table was really too small for him. He was so uncomfortable, probably because no one has ever had him on a table before for any reason. He’s a lamb. A big one.
They strapped him in to a choke harness (awesome #2) and a belly strap, seriously. I was so uncomfortable, but know that I’m overprotective (I really want to KEEP that super positive nail trim attitude) and assumed it’d be over quickly. I know they don’t want to get bitten, but that just seems like a sign of people who don’t know how to handle or read dogs well. At the moment I decided this, the metal arm that held the straps fell hard on my dog’s head and shoulders. I asked her to take him down and offered to help.
She completely ignored my offer to help and finished my dog’s nails on the floor in the chaos that was going on around us, with at least 4 other dogs being worked on. So stressful and crazy.
Good thing the trims are pretty cheap because she really did a crap job too. One clip on each nail, so they’re all sharply angled at different directions and scratching our hardwoods.
I can say I will absolutely never bring my dog here again for even a nail trim, say nothing of a grooming, unless I stood there the entire time and watched how my dog was treated. I suggest other owners who do get their dogs groomed here think about it. Maybe they’ll learn to do their jobs carefully and professionally and to be more conscientious then. I’m assuming these 4.5 stars are for people that don’t stay around and watch.

My dog doesn’t seem as stressed after getting groomed here as when I take him somewhere else. They do a good job but I don’t have anything fancy done. You have to reserve an appointment at least a week in advance because they are always fully booked.

Only discovered Bark in Style today when my Peke kept scratching and I was worried he had fleas! My usual place couldn’t fit us in until Saturday but Bark fit both my Peke and my Chow in at 20 mins notice. Everyone was lovely, service was great and they took great care of two old rescues. Boys looked great afterwards. It was $ 50 for my Peke including hair cut and $ 60 for my Chow with a cut. I’m sure the basic bath is cheaper but I was happy with the results so ok with the price.

When I first brought Rudy, my pup, into Bark In Style, he barked and went to the bathroom at the foot of their door. I was embarrassed and wondering if I should reschedule for a slower time…
Jackie was SO understanding and accepting. She made it seem like Rudy wouldn’t be a problem at all. She was quite comforting.
To top it all off, Bark in Style does a GREAT job AND they’re so affordable! For a bath, blow-​dry, nail clip, anal gland expunging, and ear cleaning, I paid a whopping $ 25. I thought it was a mistake.
I am so impressed with their customer service, service, and pricing. This is Rudy’s new Spa Day spot!

I have taken my Weimariner mix here for the past year. She doesn’t require this type of grooming too often, but when she does I bring her here for a bath and brush.
They do a really great job with my sweet pup who doesn’t love going to the groomer. She always comes back happy and smelling fantastic! They have never chipped her nails or cut too short to cause her pain.
The online system is FAN-​tastic! It makes booking no-​hassle. In addition, their location is really centrally located with great parking in front.
Everyone I have dealt with has been friendly and easy going. I’d definitely recommend them to others!
(Why not 5 stars, i think it’s because $ 40 seems a tad high for The Bath and Brush Service which includes a bath, fluff dry, brushing, nail trim, ear cleaning and plucking, and glands if necessary… but that’s just me)

I’ve got two cats and I take then here to get their nails trimmed. They are always quick and affordable.
I really enjoy coming here though because I always get a kick out of seeing all the dogs getting primped up. They all look so happy like «look at me I’m hot stuff,» very different from how my cats react but its really cute to see.

I regularly took my welsh terrier here for grooming for the last 2 ½ years and the last few times I would drop my dog off, I noticed she was quite fearful. As we would be driving up the street to park she would start whining and once we parked and would get out of the car she would shake uncontrollably and whine non stop. The final straw was when she was shaking and whining and I was holding her while walking in and Bea (?) said «and who do we have here?» Ok seriously, I’ve been coming here for quite some time and there can’t be that many welsh terriers in Seattle and you still don’t recognize my dog? I have a friend who owns her own grooming business in another state and she remembers every dog that is a regular, so I don’t think I’m asking too much for them to remember her. In any case, Bea did not even try to console my dog or anything.
Also the cuts were never consistent. Why even bother having a card where the way the dog was cut the last grooming appointment is documented when they do whatever they want anyways.
Bottom line is I would never recommend this place to anyone. It’s seems pretty standard across the board for the one start reviews that most of the dogs were shaking and frightened to enter this establishment. There is obviously some shady business going on.

Got a great note about how nails can bleed after being trimmed if they walk on cement.
Didn’t know that and while I’m still bummed about my carpeting at least I know it wasn’t a big miscue on their part.
Still the best cuts in town!

I brought my babies — Kiwi and Bowser — here for the first time today. Their hair had gotten unruly to say the least. Kiwi is a cocker spaniel/​australian shepherd mix and Bowser is a corgi.
WOW is all I can say. Kiwi looks like a different dog lol — her hair is so much shorter and pretty! And they put little bows in her hair. Bowser looks more like a corgi now — he is a fluffy and always had a fairly unique look, but they gave him more of a classic corgi cut, which is definitely what we wanted, but I’ve discovered I kinda liked him more disheveled and adorable lol.
Everyone there seemed nice, parking was easy, drop off and pick up were easy. It was expensive imo ($ 65 per dog) but I think that’s normal around here.
