The doctors and receptionist at Ballard Natural Medicine are amazing. The staff is very helpful with any questions and needs. Dr. Whittington listened to me and all my questions as well as went over all my care options and prices. It was great to have someone really care about the cost to me. I recommend Debbie to anyone!

I love wholistic medicine. It resonates for me. I love the time people take with you, I love that they listen, that they ask good questions, that they are insightful, and that they understand using natural elements to heal natural people.
This place is easy to find, and I drove off the ferry, it still didn’t take to long to get to. There is parking, but it’s a tiny lot. The staff is nice. And, I felt taken care of.

I have been seeing Dr. Melissa Larson since 2004. I needed a simple physical for work and left feeling like a doctor had finally listened to my concerns. Before Melissa, I believed that doctors didn’t really listen. Now, with my first child, she has been a fabulous wealth of support and information. Melissa has calmly provided a sound and effective answer to each of my new mother concerns (both real and over reactive) about my child and my own health. I am incredibly grateful for her competence, calm demeanor, availability, and caring. I believe she has made being a new parent much easier and is helping me trust myself as I learn to be a good mom. I will continue driving to Ballard even from Kirkland. Now if I can only get out of the house on time!

When I found Dr. Melissa Larson in 2005, I had no idea how life changing it would be for my whole family. I brought my 3 year old daughter in to investigate why she had a rash all over her face that kept coming and going. I knew that if I went to our conventional doctor, there would be a reactionary response, and I wanted to look at the whole picture. She had us put her on an elimination diet of which my husband and I both went on as well in solidarity with our girl. What happened next changed our lives. We found out that not only was my daughter having a allergic response to gluten but my Husband was severely allergic to Gluten, which explains the debilitating migraines he’s always experienced as well as painful eczema all over his face. Since then, I have trusted her with all our families medical needs from annual exams to late night urgent care. Her well balanced approach to Natural Health Care using integrative treatments is what gives me peace of mind that Dr. Melissa Larson’s commitment to the safety of my family goes above and beyond many other doctors.
Years later, my daughter is off her gluten free diet and is health and thriving, as is my husband and I.
I highly recommend her as a family doctor. Her patient and friendly attitude makes it a pleasure to visit her. She is especially wonderful with my daughter.
I always trust her to give me advise that is well balanced with choices for treatment so that I always feel I can make an educated decision.

I met Melissa 5+ years ago on a tip from a friend when my daughter had some eczema type rashes. My daughter and I have been seeing Melissa ever since. I always leave her office with new advice and tips for natural healing for our whole family, and my shy daughter feels comfortable around her. I see her for all my female needs. I now have a newborn little boy and of course will be taking him to Dr. Larson. I can’t wait to see her new place in Fremont.
