Nice new local phở joint. The inside is really nice and clean! Service was friendly, at the end it took a little longer to check out but we were in no rush so it worked out! I ordered a large phở with brisket and meatball. The size was good, with plenty of meat but the broth was just okay. I had to spruce it up a little with some sauces. Overall, I did enjoy my bowl and left very content. The Cheena Man ordered a vermicelli bowl and he really enjoyed it! The pork was sooooo good! Some of the best we both had ever had… really! There could’ve been more noodles and meat for the price but it was descent, we are in Roosevelt I guess and not in White Center or The Ave ;) We also shared the combo spring roll, very tasty and a nice twist from a traditional spring roll. Again, the pork is just sooooo good and the most memorable item from the whole meal! If I was in the area, I would definitely drop back in. It wasn’t stand out amazing but the food was tasty, the place is clean and the service was friendly. I can’t really complain when an establishment is hitting all three of those points pretty well. Oh, and they do give you a complimentary dessert! It was kind of like flan, the bee/friend ate both of ours so I didn’t try but by the looks of nothing left over, I’m assuming they were tasty! Our meal before tip was right around $ 25 so just a titch bit higher than other places. They’re in a good location and if you see their wooden chairs and tables, you might understand why their prices are a little higher… they got bills to pay I’m sure!

Huge portions and great service. The broth is very tasty and instead of the normal cream puff you get custard.

elegant, clean, friendly and speedy service. Had a small steak phở at lunch, which was generous and tasty. I’m no connoisseur, but I liked it a lot.

After being so tired of rich food on Christmas Eve, I came to the restaurant on Christmas day and wow they opened during holiday. This is the first star for them. I only ordered Crispy Deep Fried Tofu and Thai Tea and chose Dine In option. The small order eaten Dine In is not very welcomed in most restaurants, especially Asian Restaurants. That being said, you would most likely receive poor service with it. However, the staffs and environment here are totally different. Still welcome and being friendly regardless of the size order. I’m really impressed with the guy with the bright hair. He gave me complimentary dessert even though he did not have to.(Complimentary dessert is only provided along with at least $ 10 order, I believe). 2 stars for the superb service and environment. Other 2 stars are for their delicious food. The tofu is crispy outside and soft inside, which means that the tofu is very fresh and well cooked. Will definitely come back for Phở & Bun dishes!

Delicious, cheap bahn mi. We tried the grilled pork and beef and loved them both. Plus they give you free custard at the end of your meal! We plan to go back to try the phở.

Probably the best Phở in the area! The service was overly good, quick, accurate and the staff was extremely courteous. I’ve had my fair share of Phở and Bahn Mi this place is pretty authentic and as good as it gets. The food was very fresh and the servings are pretty generous. I gave the 5 stars based off the food and service. Have had the Phở, Bahn Mi and the Fresh Rolls as well and all three were extremely tasty. The atmosphere is cosy and very inviting and the staff there are really nice(reading earlier reviews that didn’t seem to be true) but these guys are really friendly. We’ll definitely be coming back as there are very few Phở places in the area and this by far the best around. Check this place out, you wont regret it. The food is delicious!

This place is a legit small vietnamese restaurant located in the quiet neighborhood of Greenlake. Parking was not difficult at all, especially with the park and ride nearby and whole foods. This place offers Phở, Curry, rice plates, and bun, good variety if you want vietnamese food, but are unsure of what specifically. What sets this place apart is that they offer«spicy» for the phở broth, along with various additional toppings as well. For desert they also offer everyone free flan :). I’ll be back!

Ditto what other reviewers are saying. I love the fact that if you order the phở, you can pick your broth type — veggie, chicken, or beef. Brisket with veggie broth? Chicken with beef broth? Hook it up!

This have very good teriyaki and I love their spring rolls also. This give me good times when I come. There were two new waitress and they were slow but I just think they’re on training. There’s a particular waiter that I like but he only works in the weekends. He will hook you up with them loyalty stamps.

Went with a friend last night and was seated very promptly. Love the fact the waiter was super polite, AND super helpful regarding the menu. We ordered the tofu spring rolls, fried tofu and 2 bowls of phở. First off, everything seemed VERY fresh… the lettuce in the spring rolls, the basil, the beansprouts were all very fresh. Fried tofu was not too greasy, and it was lightly fried and really good!(By the way, the tofu is not presented the way it is photographed in the menu with little chilis on it. FYI) The small size is pretty sufficient for an average adult who eats a LOT(aka me. :)) My only thing about this I like when I get the strips of steak that they are partially raw when you first receive the bowl then it heats up. I ordered the steak and meatballs, and I guess they didn’t write«raw steak» so everything was cooked, but usually I think the meat tastes more tender with it being slightly cooked. The broth was good, but not great. The great thing is it is NOT salty!(yay for my stomach that isn’t accustomed to super salty stuff), but the flavor isn’t anything to rave about. It’s good, but the flavor isn’t deep. I think that’s the best way to describe it! meatballs were good, but I think I only had…1 meatball. cut into 4 pieces. :( Also, it was SUPER wet yesterday, I almost tripped once, and then I saw a guy basically fall flat on the floor but caught himself with his hands. Needless to say, when it’s wet outside, watch out for the floors — they are super slick in there! We took our time and it wasn’t crowded at all. Noise level is low so it’s easy to talk(but we only had maybe 3 or 4 other tables there at the same time as us. They also give out punch cards! yay! the complementary flan at the end — SO delicious!!! They make it in-house, not hard and dense. Super yummy… reminds me of flan I ate in Mexico. Can I have another?!! :)

Dear An Nam Phở, We left your restaurant 5 mins ago. And now we’re home and resting our satisfied selves on the lounge I thought I should give you a review. Staff– pleasant, attentive, fast service, helpful and friendly Décor– clean, comfortable, well appointed Menu– all my favorites plus bubble tea Food– fresh, delicious, good serving sizes, nice presentation Crème Caramel– the fact it’s free is a nice touch, but I’d seriously pay for it because it’s so freakin delicious. The perfect size, perfectly made. I’ll be craving that on a regular basis. Thank you for your welcoming smiles and our delicious dinner. We’ll be back.

The staff here is so nice and accommodating. I can’t have any dairy and they typically have some in their bubble tea but made me one special without any — so nice(and tasty)! Their prices are good and their food is always delicious.

My expectations for yet another Phở place weren’t high, but I was happily surprised by An Nam Phở! The whole interior is really nice, which sets the mood in a positive light, and the menu has probably four times as many options as I had expected. Some things even come in single servings, like all the spring and egg rolls, which is nice when you dig it, but your meal partner doesn’t. A comment on the waitstaff/service: the soft-spoken server was awesome — super polite and helpful, and their calm demeanor just aided in the enjoyable experience. On the other hand, the server with the red/purple hair was curt and, at times, discourteous. Just seemed to me very much used to the East Asian restaurant experience, which has no idea what Americans expect in terms of service or a restaurant experience. An anecdote: a couple walked in and immediately went to a table. This told me that they were regulars, since the red haired server told everyone who came to sit wherever they pleased. But the red haired server ran up to them wagging his hand back and forth and said no, no, no! The table hadn’t been cleaned yet, but there could have been a way to take of the situation that would have disrupted the restaurant less and perhaps been more respectful. Just an observation, and just my opinion. That server may also be in training, but, having been in food service and in many restaurants, I can see from where this stems. An Nam Phở is an American establishment, not what some may call«ethnic» in terms of being owned, run, and(most importantly) FOR a certain demographic. If it were owned, run, and for Vietnamese customers, or Chinese, or whatever, my expectation would be different. That’s my two cents. The phở was very good, and extra noodles are on the house. Our server suggested a small, but I got a large because, well, I had to. I used to eat the XLs at the restaurant I used to work at, but, I have to say, the small would done me better for the evening. I ate it all, but was too full to be comfortable, or to eat the complementary dessert, which was quite good. The price was good, food was good, service was good, atmosphere was good. That makes five stars for me, and I know we’ll be back.

Fast, cheap, and fresh phở joint that has a large variety of other noodle and rice dishes as well. Got their BBQ pork sandwich(4 $), seafood phở w/egg noodles(8.95 $) and grilled pork chop rice place(8.95 $). The sandwich was delightfully fresh and the grated veggies weren’t too pickled /vinegar-y as they usually are at other Viet places. The phở had generous amounts of seafood throughout, though I wish they had more variety of seafood items. The egg noodles weren’t real egg noodles and tasted like ramen noodles. Pork chop plate was a nice balance of just crispy enough on the outside and tender, juicy on the inside. Order came with two flan desserts. Pretty good deal considering the price!

First visit: Best bun(rice noodles) I’ve ever had(get the combo)!! Fresh rolls were delicious as well. Next time through I had a large phở with steak & brisket. Huge bowl of soup, great broth, thin rice noodles perfectly al dente, lots of meat. Delicious. And the free custard dessert is yummy. I love this place. Great service too.

I’m so sad to have to write a negative review for this place because I was really excited to try it! Maybe we just ordered the wrong things? The restaurant is new-looking, nice, and clean inside. We came at kind of an awkward hour between lunch and dinner, a little after 4. We were the only ones there for most of the meal, which is always a little awkward. My partner and I both ordered grilled pork dishes, me the banh mi, her the vermicelli bowl. This may have been a mistake. The vermicelli bowl is a large, appealing portion, but the grilled pork for both of our dishes was very, VERY fatty. I’m not sure if this is just something authentic I’m not used to but I have had pork at another Vietnamese place and don’t remember it being like this. Probably a third of the meat from her bowl was fat, and I had to go pulling pieces of fat out of the bites of meat I took out of my sandwich. I’m not good at dealing with fatty meat so this made me feel pretty grossed out. My sandwich also had some pretty wilted cilantro in it, and despite pâté being listed as an ingredient on the menu, I couldn’t find any. Each table only has one napkin per person on it, and between the grease from having to handle the sandwich meat, plus the fact that my nose runs like crazy whenever I eat anything even remotely spicy, I would have preferred to have more. The meal did come with a custard dessert which was yummy, but overall I really didn’t enjoy my meal. I would try this place again but would probably only stick to the phở or veggie dishes.
