After kayaking(they have rentals downstairs), come up here and have chips/salsa/margaritas on the water. We didn’t have the restaurant food, but the margaritas are strong and cold and the atmosphere is great. It helps that the weather was awesome.

Food was good and their serve yourself slasa bar was fun. We went when it was very busy but the waiter was attentive and made sure we had everythijg we needed. Tacos were quick and had a ton of flavor.

What a terrible experience, I have been coming to this location every season since 2008. I don’t know if their front desk girl was having a bad day but this past Memorial Day I brought in three of my friends for kayaking… She was extremely rude, condescending and I decided that we should leave. The older gentleman who I’m not sure is the manager or owner– stops one of my colleagues, and asks questions regarding our initial interaction. He then tells us, «please stay, I will take care of it.» Well we stayed, a rented four individual kayaks— upon returning after a two hour kayak ride, I was greeted with a bill, and with only 10% off for my experience. And of course the older gentleman was not there and despite leaving my contact information– has not called me back. Please be reminded-you were never going to get my business at that moment again in the first place and you stopped us to compensate which you did not follow through on. Over all I find this type of business practice terribly tacky. What a mfkn joke. Will never be back to this place ever.

Agua verde is a classic! I come here often on a sunny day because they have a nice patio in the back to sit at and watch the boats go by and you can order food at the window to-go and sit outside too. They have a fantastic salsa bar — must try! Service is always friendly — most of the time you order at a window and then go find a seat somewhere so it’s no frills which I like. It’s located above a kayak rental spot so you can hit the water and rejuvenate after! I am a personal fan of the fish tacos, their rotating specials are generally worth trying, and the mole burrito… mmmm!

I always forget how much I love this spot. The breakfast burritos are bomb! Coffee here is life! Prices are really good and the people that work here are awesome!

Great atmosphere ! Ordered lunch from the counter. I got the Cod burrito. Delicious… The salsa and chips are great… Three choices of salsa. I tried the sweet chipotle… So GOOD! My only complaint… NOLOCALBEERONDRAFT.

I visited here for lunch today and was a bit disappointed. I ordered the baked cod fish tacos and was hoping for something healthy and delicious, instead I felt like I was eating a mayonnaise sandwich. The other disappointment was the prices. For two people, no drinks, just a taco and a burrito and a side of guacamole plus parking, it came to $ 40. The ambience, the view, the salsas are incredible. If you go, I would recommend ordering the basket of fries and help yourself to the you can eat salsa bar. For two dollars, that’s a good deal.

I was first introduced to this place by some coworkers and I am so glad they made the introduction. The bacalao tacos and their salsa(diablo) are outstanding. So yummy! This is a cool little café that can get very busy for lunch. You walk up to the register to order and pay and then an employee will bring your food out to you. Drinks, utensils, salsa bar are all self serve. The view here is pretty amazing too…

The bacalao tacos are different since the batter is slightly sweet as they have a hint of coconut. I really want to rent kayaks some time and enjoy lake union looks amazing.

Decent Mexican restaurant near the UW. If you are looking for something a step up from the typical restaurant on the Ave, Agua Verde is worth trying. They also have kayaks for rent!

Asked the guy for something with meat and could satisfy an appetite so he tells me to order a steak quesadilla and points at the menu at the quesadilla marked as 12 bucks in the menu. Server was good food was good and he brings me a bill with a 7 dollar up charge. 19 flipping dollars for a quesadilla! Pissed off at waiter. F quesadillas! Won’t come back. Running up a bill for a tip won’t get you more tip it got him a dollar and whatever change they left me. Sorry bro! Feeling swindled!

Renting a kayak from here was a great experience during the summer months. Haven’t yet been stand up paddleboarding, so cannot speak to their rentals. In terms of their food, the bacalao tacos are pretty good! The batter is slightly sweet, as indicated on the menu that it has a hint of coconut. I like their chipotle salsa and salsa verde. The mango-dilla my friend got with pulled pork inside looked pretty good as well. The horchata I had was also yummy. My only problem is that I too agree that chips should be free at any Mexican place, especially since they do seem to be manufactured chips.

Bacalao tacos are life(I think their avocado sauce is made of crack). Agua Verde’s chipotle salsa is also life. Love this place. Only a couple things though. Place gets damn crowded during normal lunch/dinner time! Lunch is a’ight because it’s cafeteria style and people often just take stuff to go. Dinner can get pretty crowded but their buzzer system is pretty effective. Last thing; all the dishes here are a little more expensive than other Ave grub, so I don’t make it out too too often. Pro tip: lunch is cheaper than dinner and you essentially get the same thing(ok you get chips during lunch and beans and rice for dinner, but I usually switch out for chips anyway), so go for lunch when/if you can!

I have been here two times, once for drinks and the second time for lunch and in both instances, the place has just been Meh! It is in close proximity to the University of Washington which is definitely a bonus. That is just one star by itself for everyone who works in the University. There is a beautiful patio and the view is great. Both times, I failed to read the reviews thoroughly, otherwise I would have noticed there is a 20% discount for UW students, but well, it is never too late to know. I ordered the puerca burrito here, it was just mediocre, too dry I would say and lacked seasoning. I have never rented Kayaks and I can see in the reviews, they are pretty famous for their Kayaks. There is live music at times which makes dining here kinda fun, specifically in summer days.

Nice busy fresh food. Patios are always reserved. You have to ask. My favorite thing about this place is the view &3 different salsas & org tortilla chips.

The food here is ok but the view is amazing. I’m also a fan of their coffee. I just grab a cup in the morning on my way to UW. I’ve rented paddle boards from the paddle club. It’s very convenient, they are very organized and have many paddle boards and kayaks to rent out.
