The owner Amy was short and rude to me when I first got there because I was a few minutes early… not late but early. I bought a groupon/amazon local and maybe she had an attitude because she wasn’t getting full price… well she shouldn’t have made that offer. After discussing some of my injuries and mentioning my 88 year old mother-in-law whom I help care for as well as my husband’s recent injury at work, all related to my stress levels and pain… She questioned me a few times(both visits covered by the coupon) about my family’s status… were we on medicaid? Hmmm… did she make that assumption because of my ethnicity… Sure felt like it!!! WHATDOESTHATHAVETODOWITHMYMASSAGE??? No… I let her know my in-laws worked all their lives and had great medical coverage as did my husband until he was hurt. I have to cover my own costs now since he is on L&I. I would never go back to her not just because of her racist questions but I felt worse both times I went. She obviously doesn’t know a lot about working with clients with fibromyalgia. I’m getting better care at Massage Envy in Lynnwood now.

I found Amy through Amazon deal, too and so far I enjoy getting massage from her. She is not only working on my problem areas(had been having issues with my sciatica nerves and lower back), but also making sure the proper care for the rest of the body. For instance on my second visit, I had a bad case of sunburn having just returned from Hawai’i. I was so worried that the massage would hurt the sore/raw areas, but I was very much in need of a massage. So I went in and… boy, I am glad I did! Not only I got all the knots and tension relieved(I did TONS of swimming and walking while I was in HI!), Amy used the lotion with dead sea salt that helps with moisturising, cooling and rehydrating the sunburned skins, also sloughing off my peeling skin! Fantabulous, I’d say!!! I felt so much better all over after the session. My skin and I thank YOU, Amy! The room temperature has never been a problem to me. I tend to like the lower temperature, anyway. I actually like that the practice is in a private home… it’s tucked away, quiet and parking is free in front of the house! Sure, it’s a bit out of my way but, nothing irks me more if I had to fight my way in and out of the place or having to pay for parking or having to park miles away. Amy’s also easy to communicate with, in person or via email. Another reason why I am a returning customer and recommending this place to my own brother and close friends. I gave this review a 4-star because I haven’t yet tried the sliding scale acupuncture therapy. Which I am planning to do in the next several weeks. So, stay tuned for more review.

Tried this as an Amazon Local deal. I thought my treatment and experience was fine, but it’s simply too far to drive for most of my purposes. Amy was very nice, and chatty. The treatment room wasn’t cold like another reviewer mentioned — I thought everything was nice and welcoming coming up to the house, then entering. It is a personal house, however, so keep that in mind, if you’re expecting a typical business neighborhood, it’s not a business location but rather a residence.

I had a massage that was supposed to be 50 minutes, but was less time than 50 minutes. The massage was incomplete as well. She didn’t do arms or legs which should be included in a full body. Talked way too much while I was getting my massage. The mirror was annoying, and the room was too bright. The house has a very strong curry odor that was highly offensive for a place of relaxation. I got a deal through Amazon for two massages. I had to cancel an appointment the night before because of an EMERGENCY with my dog. I asked if I lost my other appointment, and she went on to tell me that she sold 800, so she can’t let it slide. For all the reasons listed, I’d never go back, or recommend to anybody. I’m curious if this will stay up. Unilocal likes to remove negative reviews. It’s HONEST! People have a right to know what business are up to and how they’re run.

Went to Amy with a daily deal and felt like I didn’t get the full treatment. She also used a ton of massage oil and I left feeling like a greased up turkey. The message itself was okay.

Saw Amy earlier this year, there was nothing wrong with my visit, but I was not impressed. Her treatment room is in her house and it is not very welcoming, the treatment room was cold and had a large mirror on one wall, not very relaxing at all. Amy was ok, but she kept talking about how good she is and trying to convince you to come back. All in all not a great experience and definitely not relaxing. There is one thing I find very curious, last time looked at Unilocal earlier in 2012 there was a very negative review from 2⁄2012 and now it has disappeared, nowhere to be found. The only reviews are 2 glowing reviews from 2011…

I purchased a wellness package for 2– 60 min massage/acupuncture combination sessions for my boyfriend and I. When making the appointment the women i spoke with acted very inconvenienced that i would want an appointment over the weekend in the evening, but agreed that we both could be seen. Upon arrival, Amy(the therapist) was very cold and seemed hurried. We were both seen at the same time, with only one practitioner present. This was our first acupuncture experience. she put the needles in one person, then left and did the other. it was quite a long time to be laying on a cold table, half naked, with pins sticking out all over you and a song repeating over and over and over on the radio. Then when she finally returned for the massage. It was hurried and very painful. She used and«ancient Chinese» method to get the knots out of my back that left me severely bruised and purple all over. She kept complaining how tight we both were, and said several times we should have done some stretching, yoga and relaxation before the appointment. I thought getting a massage and acupuncture session was suppose to be relaxing. We did not get our full appointment either. We were there together for an hour total– even though we had paid for 2 — 60 min sessions. Do not go there unless you like to be bruised, hurried and leave in a bad mood!
