A+ Transportation

I have family members with severe medical problems, one of whom is wheelchair bound. I work full time but rely on transportation companies to bring them to doctors appointments, where I meet them and accompany them to the doctors. Recently, the transportation scheduling company I use (MTM) scheduled rides with A+ transportation, which I hadn’t used before. I have now had two experiences with them, and both experiences were bad. Once, the company was told to send a wheelchair van to transport a wheelchair bound patient. They showed up at the house over 30 minutes late, and with a sedan that could not accommodate wheelchairs. The driver said it would take 1.5 hours to get a wheelchair van. I repeatedly tried calling A+ transportation, but only received a voice mail. We missed the doctor’s appointment, and I ended up having to take additional days off work to bring my loved one to the hospital instead, because we couldn’t get the doctor’s office appointment rescheduled in time to address an urgent issue. The second time, I received a call from the nurse at another doctor’s office, saying that the A+ driver was rude and demeaning to her. The nurse asked me never to use A+ transportation again because she did not want to repeat that horrible interaction.
I almost feel like I’m writing this as a public service message. When I went to write this review today, I couldn’t even find a business address for this «company.» I called them and the greeting did not sound like «A+ transportation.» They claimed that their website is «down» but then I heard the man ask someone else «do we have a website?» When I finally got their street address, it maps to a business called CARE transportation and not A+ transportation. This is a shady operation — stay away!
