A Tier Above

We worked with Shelley for our wedding cake. I requested Rice Krispie treat tiers as a surprise for the groom. I also sent Shelley a photo of what we wanted. On our wedding day we received the most BEAUTIFUL and DELICIOUS cake! It was Rice Krispie treats for the bottom two tiers, hidden beneath delectable buttercream — just like I asked! The design was PERFECT and she even added gorgeous little flowers. We were absolutely thrilled! I can’t thank Shelley enough for her patience and creativity.

We are going to have the most beautiful, most delicious wedding cake ever! We just had our cake tasting and consultation yesterday, and we had a blast. The cakes and fillings were so so so good– I don’t have the vocabulary to describe how darn good her cakes are. Does righteous work?
As for the decoration, based on her portfolio and the numerous samples I’ve seen, Shelley is an artist when it comes to gumpaste flowers. Her website doesn’t do her skills justice, her flowers must be seen to be believed.
I’ll write more after we get to enjoy the official wedding cake, but based on Shelley’s professional demeanor, great personality and obvious skill in the kitchen (I don’t think I’ve ever had a more outstanding cream cheese frosting in my life) and with fondant, I have no doubt that our cake will kick your cake’s butt any day of the week.
