The baretenders are amazing. Cam especially has the best music you’ve never heard. My favorite pizza is the surfer duke. Plus happy hour 2 – 7.

FOODPOISONING!!! I had nothing to drink, ordered a small chicken bbq something, and a house salad. Didn’t eat anywhere else that day. Clearly CROSSCONTAMINATION. To the bartenders credit, he was nice, prompt and had nothing to do with it.

Excellent beer selection which is why we go. Pizza is middle class, but 3 bucks for a large slice. Don’t come here expecting full service, its a pizza bar not a restaurant. Great people and atmosphere!

One of my favorite neighborhood bars in the U District. It’s far enough up the Ave that it’s not always crowded, and the crowd that is there is not too college-y. Cheap beer, pretty great pizza(chicken ranch I’m looking at you), close by – I’m not one to complain. This is definitely a regular spot for my friends and me.

I have ordered A Pizza Mart once before and enjoyed my experience. This time, I ordered a medium pizza here for a late lunch around 2 pm. When I asked the lady how long it would take for delivery she said 40 minutes. I was really hungry because I hadn’t eaten all day but didn’t have any food in the fridge or time to run to the store, so I said okay. I assumed it would be here earlier because it was not during a meal rush and it was not a major game day. Boy, was I wrong. I called after 1 ½ hours of waiting and told them that I still didn’t have my pizza. They said it would be here in five minutes. Then another 20 or so minutes roll by… still no pizza. When it finally arrived TWOHOURS after I originally ordered it, I was no longer really hungry and the pizza was COLD. The customer service was poor as they did not even offer to discount my pizza after it was over an hour late and arrived cold. I have to go to a dinner party in two hours, so I might as not even eat it at this point so as not to spoil my appetite for later. I paid over twenty dollars for cold pizza. I knew I should have ordered from Domino’s; next time I’ll follow my instinct.

Nasty is nice. I ordered a small bbq chicken that was really. Bread, precooked frozen chicken. Bag of onions, whole acre of mushrooms anddddddd no bbq sauce. Cheese was some mozzarella knock off. Tossed it in the garbage and ate a bowl of cereal.

This place is horrible, not only is the customer service horrible but my pizza was delivered burnt… I called the place and was offered half price the next time… I never plan on ordering here again so that didn’t help and my husband was starving… so he had to wait an hour and when the second pizza arrived it was cold… I mean come on

I’ve gone here twice. The first time I was not impressed. The second time made me swear to never go back. The pizza is like cardboard — dry and tasteless. I ordered a slice and I think that it had been on the heating belt for hours because it was so dry and gross. I was hungry though, so I ate it. I then ordered a piece of chocolate cake. She served it to me frozen. Completely frozen through. She was not sneaky about it, just plopped it down and ran away hoping I wouldn’t notice? Like I was going to eat a piece of chocolate ice? After trying to gnaw it I told her that it was frozen through. She offered to refund me, which was fine, but I would have liked a new slice, but it makes me think that all the slices were like that. So I suspect that they just have frozen food here that they warm up and give out with a jacked up price. What the hell? Service was really passive, no engagement, not even a smile. An insincere«darling» here and there. It was like she didn’t like us or care to engage with her customers. I didn’t tip well after this entire experience, which sucks because I usually tip 40 – 60 percent if you’re stellar! Don’t go here, I’m not even sure how it’s open? They probably cater to their regulars more attentively, but how do you acquire regulars if you brush off the first comers? At least give me edible food…

The calzones are pretty good, and it’s nice to pop in for a beer here! Some of the pizza could be better, but for a quick easy bite it’s decent.

I don’t agree with the negative reviews, but I stick to what I know is good and haven’t tried much else. The pizza crust is my favorite part, but their menu in general is definitely on par with my expectations of «bar food.» If you’re looking for something super fancy then head to University Village, otherwise A Mart is perfect for what it is: a college dive bar. Mac and Jacks pitchers + pizza for me! I’ll pass on the bread sticks though… they’re pretty disappointing. Delivery is really speedy, too, if you’d rather stay at home!

I ordered spaghetti and meatballs and lasagna. To be fair the meatballs we’re very tasty but the pasta had been cooked so long it was about ¼″ thick. It was more or less mushy. The lasagna was cut down to 1″ x 3″ strips so it was more like a baked pasta instead of lasagna. The positive was each dish came to serve a family of 4.

They handle beer well, and that’s good enough for me to come back now and again. Decent selection of taps, maybe about 12 or so. Different seasonal brews as well as good IPAs and ciders all for a good price. And by good price, I mean great price. There’s always a special on alcohol. Reading other reviews, can’t help but agree with most of their complaints. The food here is incredibly inauthentic. It might be all freezer food. The pizza is on the same scale as Domino’s, which isn’t a great scale, especially since it’s self-labeled as a pizza place. I’ve only been here a couple times, but I can see why people complain about the service. It looks like they’re always under staffed. They seem to always be on the cusp of needing a waiter and not needing a waiter, so the bartender is tasked with dealing with the bar and handling tables. That can get messy. I wouldn’t come here if I was hungry, but I will definitely come here to throw back a couple beers. I like the staff, too. They seem like cool people.

Attempted to order delivery from the location inside my delivery address. Instead of saying no, they transferred it to a different location, who then refused to deliver to me. Worst service ever. Pizza is 3 star when it gets to you. Service is always 1 star. I don’t know why I even try them anymore… posting this will hopefully remind me, never again.

The bartender and service her sucks so bad. I feel sorry for the owner! I’m from San Diego and came to visit friends. 3 of us girls sit down first and he is so rude. Barely brings us drinks. 3 more friends come in and he doesn’t even help them. I had to get up from the table to order my food and my friends didn’t even get helped. Never coming back!

Sandip, my pizza delivery driver was extremely patient with me when I missed his call, and then even went out of his way to swing back my place out of his delivery route to give me the pizza I ordered. Excellent service, and I will be sure to remember that next time I order from this location.

All day happy hour Wednesday is hard to beat. Good drinks. Cold beer. What more do you want in life? I haven’t tried any other locations or the delivery yet but I will soon.

Paid $ 17 for a medium pizza advertised as $ 9. Took 50 minutes to get here at noon on a weekday and I live 2 blocks away. impolite service, slow delivery, mediocre pizza. The only justifiable reason to get pizza from here is if you’re drunk and its 3 am because by God they deliver at absurd hours

Went to the new location for the first time on New Years with some friends. Hadn’t been to the new location, but couldn’t wait considering all the great times the had at the old A Mart. We ended up being very disappointed in our decision. To start off the bartender was very rude and not attentive. Took his time asking what we wanted and took even more time pouring our drinks. Guy refused to serve anything other than Rainier at the time — fine with me, but not the gf. Chalking it up to him having a bad night we sat down at a table and ordered a pizza. Pizza was absolutely terrible and borderline inedible. After a couple bites we decided to pay our bill and leave. Pizza lacked cheese(literally no cheese on the pie) had a small amount of veggies and was overcooked. Not sure if this was a fluke, but know I won’t be back to find out.

Horrible service, took over an hour and a half to deliver a basic medium sized pepperoni pizza. The driver apparently went to the wrong location and instead of calling me he went back to the restaurant and delivered other orders. When I called to ask about my order the employee was utterly rude and short. Never ordering from here again.

Awful service and sub par pizza. I had to come to Seattle for a business trip back in August. I went out to grab a beer on University Way and around 12 am I started to get hungry. So I looked across the street and there was a pizza place. It looked ok so I decided to check it out. I walk in and take a seat by the bar. The decoration is whatever and they’re playing a B rated film about killer piranas or sharks on their television. I’m already a bit skeptical. I decide to order a beer and this kid who is dressed like Happy Gilmore gives me a really crappy attitude. I asked him what beers he had on tap. You know just to be friendly and start a convo and he just points to them and says«right here» and then he walks off with his sour puss face. At this point I realize that if I decide to stay and eat here I better be nice because he may spit in my food. I wouldn’t be surprised either, this place’s ambiance certainly does give the impression that it hires spitting chefs and staff. So I get the pizza and it’s a 5⁄10. Nothing special. I finish it and ask Happy Gilmore sour puss if I can plug in my phone to charge because I need to call an Über. He says sure. Wow I guess being nice to him kind of worked… but not for long. After I pay for the bill I don’t see Happy and I go behind the bar to grab my phone from the charger and leave. And it’s almost as if he was waiting for me to do this. He says«You are trespassing on our property and I’m going to have to ask you to leave». Are you kidding me??? I just ate here?! I said«hey man what’s your problem? I just wanted to grab my phone because I didn’t see you. I just ate here for fu@&‘s sake» We ended up getting into a huge argument and he was cussing me out. Then I remembered he was talking to some uninterested guy sitting at the bar about Wrestle-mania earlier.(Wtf right??) so I tell him«What are you gonna do? Get Hollywood Hulk Hogan to put me in a headlock? Just have fun watching Wrestle-mania 35!» And he says«I might… I might» we give each other the finger and I left. That was the highlight of my entire stay in Seattle. If you want cheap entertainment I highly recommend A Pizza Mart Bar & Grill. Thanks Happy!

This place keeps it simple and easy. The new location is more open and a fantastic upgrade from the decent spot beforehand. Liza is the best bartender in the city, attentively serves beverages without being pushy. Great selection of taps and bottled beers, unlike most places they actually keep a clean tap, and the draft flavors show. Pizza is WAY under rated and quite inexpensive, great crust and fresh toppings. Hit it up if you want to fill your belly without emptying your wallet!
