I went in looking for a antenna for a CB radio. They no longer cary that kind of stuff. I ask the employees when the«going out of buisness» sale starts and they kinda looked at me funny. The pissed off, not so funny kind of funny.

I received an electronic item for Christmas and it was cool but just not for me. Luckily I had a gift receipt with the item. From the moment i walked into the store, I noticed that customer service obviously isn’t the focus in this store. I work in the customer service industry, so i hold others to the same level as I am held to myself. The people working here on this day, didnt seem to enthusiastic or eager to help. First bad sign. I had a simple return and the lady who helped seemed pissed and uninterested in helping me return the item. Finally, i get the return started, and then i say«can i just have the cash, since Im not sure I want to purchase anything from here.» The employee said«ummmmm no since the person who bought it paid with her DEBIT card.» So i said, «Yeah, debit is like cash, it withdrawals right from your bank account» She says«Nope, not here at Radioshack.» Whatever. Thats ridiculous Any other place has never questioned a cash return from debit. In the middle of the transaction, the employee stopped helping me and just started talking to another customer and employee… like she joined their conversation and left me standing there… Really? Awesome. Made me feel like just because I was returning an item that was bought for me, I didnt deserve good customer service since I wasnt actually buying anything. How lame. In my industry, if a customer has a complaint or something is wrong or they want their money back, not only am I required to have a smile on my face and get to the bottom of their problem and try to find a solution, I TRY to figure out what the issue is, and SOLVE it. So, this ended up being a terrible experience, and just solidifies the reason that I do not do business here. RadioShack, maybe you should hire some people that ENJOY their job and ENJOY working around people. I hope you read these reviews, and IF you do, please contact me, and let me understand why a DEBIT transaction isnt considered redeemable for cash??? ugh

Kinda disappointed in this place. I’ve gotten a few accessories here before, but had a bad experience last time I went in. I was looking for a RCA to VGA converter cable, and told the worker there what it was. He had no clue what I was talking about. I showed him a picture of the cord: the yellow cord that breaks off of a RCA, I needed it to be a VGA conversion. He had no clue what he was doing, and kinda bumbled around the store. Didn’t offer a solution for me, or even try to understand what I was talking about. Then he started opening up boxes trying to see if they contained what I was looking for. Was overall a bit sketch, so I bounced. I’ll be going to the Del Monte location from now on, no thanks.

I strongly suggest not shopping here or opening any phone lines. I went there this past Friday and added a phone line to my already started phone contract. They took forever with the paperwork. Almost an hour. To add to the fact that the phone I wanted wasn’t even in stock, but I decided to be patient and wait till today(Tuesday) to pick it up. I called this morning to see if it was there and they said no. So I called again @ 1 pm and Tony said that the store is actually closed and I won’t be able to pick up the phone till tomorrow. Forget about the inconvenience, he didn’t bother to apologize or anything. I would rather go to the del monte mall location.

I absolutely refuse to buy anything here. I came in one time to get a watch battery. The battery was defective and wouldn’t power the watch. I brought it back to return it. The manager refused to return it, saying that my watch was broken and the battery was fine. I told him the watch was fine, as it worked perfectly with another battery in it — just not the one I had bought at Radio Shack. He continued to argue with me for about 10 minutes before finally returning the damn thing. The manager, Tony, is a rude, arrogant person. I will never go back here again.

boooo! They are so cheap they would not exchange brand new $ 9.00 earbuds which broke. Claimed I damaged them myself — wouldn’t even consider the product was faulty. The manager told me I should have gotten a service plan. On $ 9.00 ear buds! For shame. Bad customer service and snide attitude(manager was a jerk but the clerk was nice).

Radio Shack tend to be pricey. But that’s not why I’m giving this location a one star. I’m giving it a one star because the two times I went there to look for a part had been useless. Both times the employee who helped me seemed like they were on vacation.

Alex the customer rep is amazing. He spent so much time with me helping me figure out what phone would be the right fit for me. In the end, I felt bad that I did not buy it… but he was so helpful… I wish him all the success and it sure makes radio shack seaside seem like an amazing place.
