Just had lunch at Kathys(used the drive thru) and I’m pretty disappointed. Ordered the 3piece fish tacos with red beans and rice and a side of mac & cheese. The«tacos» were more like burned fish nuggets on overly toasted and broken corn tortillas, with maybe a tsp of slaw and salsa that looked(and had the texture of) crawfish poop! They gave me 5 tacos, I’m assuming because the pieces were so tiny. The red beans and rice weren’t bad, not the best but I’d probably order them again. Mac & cheese was super disappointing, comparable to a cheap frozen dinner(I’d actually say Stouffers frozen mac and cheese is WAY better). I’d think by now the kinks would be worked out and the food should be good but I’m overall disappointed that I wasted $ 10 on my lunch. I also went as soon as they opened so they were totally dead, so no excuse for the lack of food quality other than its just not very good.

Food poisoning! Yay! I should’ve expected that from a gas station seafood restaurant, people told me. Bu, this place was nice, and I felt bad for it. I went on a Thursday night around dinner time and there were about 12 people working here, and no one at a single of the 20 gas pumps, no one in the gas station, and no one in the restaurant. Just me and 12 staffers who I stood awkwardly around as they cleaned things that didn’t need cleaning because no one had been there, and I waited a whole 12 minutes just to get two appetizers. The staffer who took my order couldn’t answer basic questions about the food and pricing– like«are the boudain balls spicy» and«how many hush puppies in an order and what’s the price if I’m not adding on to an entrée?» There’s no way this place can stay afloat… which was disappointing to me until I ate there. I ordered a sweet tea, boudain balls, and an order of hush puppies. It was all cheap, which is good. The boudain balls, however, were the worst I’ve ever had, so after one small bite, I’d had enough. Sweet tea was good, not overly sweet. And the hush puppies were a tad on the burnt side, but weren’t horrible, so I ate a few of those. An hour later, I’d regretted forking over about $ 10 here because I was super sick. And that lasted for three days. Nope, nope, nope, Kathy’s Korner.

We were excited to have a nice, clean place on the way into Katy. Other than us constantly having to go to the horridly expensive gas station off 1458. This place was extremely nice inside. We rolled thru the drive thru to grab some food before hitting Houston for a yoga conference. Very good mini burgers! We were impressed! The seafood market looked awesome too! Will totes have to check that out next time.

We stopped here headed to California. I had a Hamburger and my BF had Gumbo and a Hamburger. The food was good. I’d stop here again.

Excellent selection of a variety of foods from snacks to incredibly fresh market seafood and wine selections — they even had Rombauer Chardonnay! Great stop to fill up with gas and grab a bite to eat. Very clean restrooms, which are always a plus!

I have great hopes for this place… I had a cheeseburger which tasted good. My husband had the chicken tender basket and was very disappointed. I took a bite of his chicken and the mac /cheese and agreed with him, it tasted as if the oil had not been changed in days. The mac and cheese was very bland… it appears kitchen help needs additional training and or experienced supervision. I hope management takes note because both my husband and I want this place to succeed!

Just had a Shrimp PO Boy here. I absolutely love properly done shrimp po boys and this one was great. Ask for some seafood cocktail sauce to add to the sandwich and get it pressed which flattens the bread enough to make it easier to eat. I liked the cole slaw too. It was just plain old fashioned cole slaw, nothing fancy or «lite», but very good. The bread pudding was enough for 3 with a warm cinnamon sauce to go on top. The food is good, fresh, old fashioned Gulf Coast fare which means it is mostly fried. Don’t eat it often but want to enjoy it when I do. I’d go back. Great lunch.

They spent so much money on the appearance of this establishment it is a shame they forgot about the quality of food and most importantly customer service. I have been there 3 times since this place opened. Once to eat and twice for coffee. I hope they can readjust and keep this place going! Put a sign before Chew road to let east bound traffic know where to exit.

Was first one in line on their grand opening. Was so looking forward to a great seafood place but was severely disappointed. What a shame. They have such great looking food in the seafood market so it makes no sense why the food is so poorly made in the restaurant. The red beans and rice was a joke your better off at Popeye’s. Ordered a catfish basket and it had a few lousy pieces of catfish and thats it! I cant understand why its considered a basket? No fries, no hush puppies, no cole slaw, nothing! Oyster poor boy came out wrong, bread was soggy, oysters were soggy, it was soaked in mayonnaise, worst poor boy I’ve ever had. Only thing good was the crab cakes but they were gone in 2 small bites and cost $ 10. So for $ 39.00 i think i will pass next time and maybe stay home and eat bologna! Its not the money, i have no problem spending good money for good food but what a shame. I eat out at least 6 times a week so really wanted something close but not this time. What a disappointment.
