Terrible! Zero service. Waitress or owner or what ever she was, completely pathetic. Extremely rude taking our order. Visibly upset 2 of us only wanted water. Did not bring water for my wife. After taking our order completely ignored us. Never got rest of waters or coffee refill. Only 2 other tables in the whole place being used. Finally after 20 minutes I walked up to the front and asked for more water and coffee and she very rudely said when she gets time. That was enough we left. Too bad because we were staying at a little hotel a couple miles down the road for a 4 day weekend for the 4th of July and had service been even decent we probably would have eaten here at least 4 times. I have never in my life left a place after placing an order before the food arrived.

I pulled over in a mad rush for the one normal looking good establishment we’d seen in a while on our road trip. I really wanted apple pie. We shared corned beef hash with scrambled eggs & Apple pie. It was great! Pricing & portions were typical. It’s very typical diner food. Our waitress was the most precious, kind, silly woman. She gave great suggestions & kept my water full which is my number one way to judge service. It’s a side of the road, middle of nowhere diner & should be judged accordingly. The bad reviews for this place make me sad. If you’re passing through & hungry, this place is predictable, warm, & comforting.

This place has really gone downhill. Neither the food nor the service is good. Overpriced. And the owner is absolutely rude.

Diner food, nothing spectacular but alright, but SLOW in getting food to table. Took us 11⁄2 hours for breakfast. Luckily we’re retired, but that is just too long.

This place was the only place along the hwy and my husband was hungry. They served breakfast all day so what the hell we’ll try it. Most of the reviews were good so here we are. The lady greeted us right away and got our order in fast. The gravy was ok but the biscuits were dry. I ordered country fried steak, what a mistake, I should have listened to the reviews. It was awful, ordered my eggs over medium the yokes were hard, ordered crispy hash browns which tasted like they were barely cooked and hardly browned. The other kicker for me, my coffee arrived 2 minutes before my meal… NOTOKINMYBOOK! Skip it and drive a few more miles to the next town there’s a better selection.

This is a country diner with simple American food. I asked the waitress if they could make grilled turkey and cheese. I tasted real good. The onion rings are okay. They serve breakfast till closing so next time I will try an omelet.

the good news — they’ve finally taken out the dirty, smelly carpet and replaced it with solid flooring. bad news — service still slower than molasses; don’t believe this is the server’s fault but the cook in the kitchen.

The service was good, but that’s about it. If you crave a tasteless French dip and soda pop with a funky taste, this is your place.

We arent very picky people but this was probably the worst breakfast I’ve ever eaten. Chicken fried steak was burnt and not even the right cut of meat. Tastes like they threw a piece beef into a deep fryer and threw some weird version of gravy on it. Both our pancakes were burnt. Even the half and half they had was rotten. I don’t usually like giving bad reviews but I feel like all the good reviews this place has is deceiving. Maybe today was the B staff who knows… The only revealing quality about this place is that it’s night next door to a fudge shop.

Not really sure about the gushing and gushing over this place… It’s not that it’s bad, it’s just that this so clearly not a 5⁄5 stars experience. The food is good — most of it homemade. Fish & chips were generously-portioned with a crisp batter and delicious tarter sauce. Slumgullion(clam chowder with bay shrimp on top) was delicious — creamy and flavorful with fresh, little shrimp to make things even better. Service was genuinely friendly. Coffee and water were topped off. But this is not a place normal people would rave about. There are spots all over the carpet, like someone’s been spitting chew spit all over the floor for some time now. There’s a faint smell of tinkle in the place. People rent overhead, and during our meal, we heard some kid jump and tumble over the ceiling the whole time. Not glamourous, not five stars. If you’re staying in Seal Rock and don’t want to venture out too far for breakfast or lunch, it’s fine. Just understand that this is a good but not wonderful restaurant.

We went here for breakfast one day in early November, 2012. I had the«full order» of biscuits and gravy and it was spot on, absolutely delicious! Two big, fluffy biscuits and thick sausage gravy. It was heavenly and more than I could eat. A steal at $ 5.50. Service was speedy, friendly and attentive. I want to go back and get the fish & chips! Breakfast and lunch only, from what we could tell. The listing photos are very representative. Local good food.

I stopped by here looking for breakfast when visiting the coast. The outside looked like it would be the average diner, old and faded. But the waitress warmly greeted us and we were seated promptly. I ordered the biscuits and gravy which was amazing! Everything was home-made with a very generous portion. my full order was around 6 $. I would definitely come here again!

Our burgers had what tasted like thousand island dressing, which was a nice touch. The fries were good, crisp on the outside and soft on the inside, and their potato salad was delicious. It’s one of the first places we’ve been to where between the six of us(my wife and I and 4 young kids) we cleared all the plates and the portions were good-sized. They serve tasty food at reasonable prices and served with a smile.

Driving south one morning on the 101 during my recent month long road trip — I was looking for a place to have breakfast. Well the sign said it all. I wanted biscuits & gravy with eggs and hashbrowns — I wanted little fuss and good food. This place had it. It was a cute, quaint little place — my waitress was quick to refill my coffee & water glass and my food was served promptly — I couldn’t ask for more. Great find on my trip!

A friend and I came to the diner for the free Internet advertised on the sign outside. It wasn’t busy and we made sure the waitress knew why were there. She was fine with it. We ordered a couple of coffees and a salad and tried to be as unobtrusive as possible. It took forever to get the Internet password, the coffee and the salad. In addition, we didn’t get cream and sugar but had to get it from a station in the restaurant. I don’t know if that’s what we were expected to do or if our waitress was going to bring them at some point. The coffee was weak but the Internet was strong. It’s a cute little place right on the highway but has that temporary building type floor that vibrates when people walk on it. The food that other people were getting looked decent and the salad was fine. Nothing to write home about but fresh enough. The diner standards looked the most appealing, i.e. hamburgers.

Great little place to eat. The food is tasty and reasonably priced, the service is good and the restaurant is clean. The only reason I didn’t give them a full 5 stars was because our burgers were all a little pink rather then fully cooked.
