Extremely unfriendly service last Friday at 11:00AM by a very rude oriental lady(I’m not referring to the owners wife). We walked out and had a great lunch at Hennessy in Seal Beach. If the owners wife is there or the young man you will get friendly service. Good food particularly the lunch specials.

I sure got a wake up call today on this place. Went in to try the Sushi. Nothing to rave about, bland, no fresh WASABI(comes in a tiny package). It will do in a pinch. Miso was decent. What really got me is the register girl(Anglo) never washed her hands. She handled credit cards, cash, pens, phones and prepared the salads in a to-go container using HERFINGERS to pack in the overhanging lettuce and never used gloves or washed her hands… YUCK! Touching food with bare dirty hands… taboo. Wasn’t my salad she was touching, but afterwards I watched her touch others food. Teetering on complaining with the Health Dept.

Checked in for the special offer but when I showed the offer to the employee at the register they didn’t honor it and said I had to call in to redeem it. But I ordered my food on Unilocal?Either way have eaten here a lot, but slightly annoyed at the refusal to add the 10% discount the one time I actually checked in. Oh well

Sushi was fresh, short wait time and good portions! Best sushi take-out I’ve found so far! Love their Unagi Roll!

That’s not chicken! Today was the third time I’ve been to this place. Came with two friends and all three of us ordered a chicken entrée. The«chicken» that was served today had a very odd texture. A visual examination yielded what you would expect from a piece of chicken breast, nothing abnormal. But biting into it yielded a rubbery crunch texture similar to that of a soft piece of cartilage. It almost felt plastic. I thought it was just me but my two buddies had the same problem about their chicken. Yuck.

We ordered the salmon teriyaki bowls and it was fast & inexpensive. Food was alright, on the sweet side, but better than I was expecting for the price point. I’d go back again.

I’ve only been here once and it’s possible that what I got was just off that day but I doubt I’ll try it again given all the good alternatives within a short drive. I got a spicy pork rice bowl. The sauce was a bit too sweet and the pork was fatty and overcooked. The salad was alright but nothing special. It felt like mall food court quality food.

Service is ok, I have been here maybe like 9 times in the last 2 ½ years. 3 of those times I ate in, and the rest take out. The place offers free WiFi, and does have a small restroom for customers, fountain drinks and good variety of food selection. Also there is a TV. Ok I just purchase the $ 8.99 combo deal… Chicken & beef teriyaki bow w/rice Two small portions of salads, Plus three other things(look like eggrolls) And of course a free drink 16oz Value is good Chicken a little dry Beef was cooked good Rice is good Cole slow salad not so great, but then again it moght of been the sauce I poured on it that was also included. Other salad was good. Eggs roll thingy’s are ok I should of used the free check in special 10% off but too late :-P

The lady behind the counter was nice to me but my complain is due to the freshness and amount of food they give comparing to the yasai in the long beach town center food court. These people are stingy with their food and the salads where not fresh i will not be going back just for the quality of the food will rather drive a few miles more and get my moneys worth. And not to say that they give u less food but charge u more than the one in the long beach town center

I have been here at least 10 times before and it has always taken a bit of time to get your food… but wow, this last time was ridiculous! I ordered two salads to go, a Grilled Chicken and a Sumi Salad. I then waited 25 minutes sitting in there for my order to be ready! There were a couple other customers standing/sitting around rolling their eyes too. Bottom line, 25 minutes is way too long for a take-out style restaurant. To add insult to injury, I got home only to find that the Sumi Salad was drenched in dressing and unedible. So a completely wasted half hour of my day. They probably scared me away from every going again. Too many other good choices locally that get it right!

The customer service here was terrible. Pretty much the definition of over priced Japanese food you could find in a mall food court.

Customer service is always great whenever I come in. The staff is friendly and very accommodating. I usually always call in my order ahead of time, and it is ready within 5 minutes. The spicy chicken bowl is a very solid choice(my personal favorite), and the curry chicken over rice is pretty good too. I almost forgot to mention… The sumi salad is DELICIOUSSSSS! Some days I will come by just to buy a side of sumi salad when I don’t have time to pack greens with my lunch. I recommend everyone order EXTRA crispy wontons on top of your sumi salad to give it an extra crunch(anddddd ITSFREE)! I only have 2 slight complaints. The first is that I have had a few rare times where my chicken was overcooked and tough. Please keep in mind that I’ve been here 12+ times and this happened maybe twice. My second complaint is that the price point is a little high for what it is. If the price was lower, I would definitely come back more often on my lunch breaks.

The special… «Pineapple Chicken»(w/SWISS CHEESE) — bizarre to say the least. When the cheese didn’t agree w/my coworker’s palate, he spoke w/the owner and was told, «Next time(like there will ever be a next time), don’t order the chicken if you don’t like the cheese.» End of story. Piss poor customer service and attitude, if you ask me. The two side salads were decent(particularly the cabbage), but we weren’t here to get our vegan on. Clearly non-Japanese owners. How you ask? By the owner’s reaction and cheering when the Mexicans scored a «goooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooal» over the Japanese during the men’s semifinal soccer match(circa London, 2012). Can you say, «Yabuseo!» If you come here, just use the restrooms — they were immaculate! And, for REAL Japanese food, head North on the 405 to Gardena/Torrance… no «cheese» for you — next!!!

Two stars for chicken teriyaki(dry, not really grilled, and not tasty terriyaki sauce) and three stars for California rolls, chinese wonton salad and tempura which was a little oily and too much batter. But I give credit for the happy hour price of $ 4.99 until 8pm, saving $ 1.49 for specials.

Came in after I had a job interview to take a look at some quick sushi but decided to go with the lemon chicken special for $ 8.99. The meal came with rice, two salads, stir fry veggies, a medium drink, and the lemon chicken with the eel and spicy mayo! I sat for about five minutes and got my food right away! The portions are HUGE and EVERYTHING(Even the salads) were A M A Z I N G and flavorful! The clerk was very nice and made sure everything was good! Way to go!!! Bathrooms were well taken care of as well.

Yay for Jap-style fast food! I would say it’s better than what I have come across in San Francisco(this style of Jap fast food at least). Darn tasty bentos… and they’re big servings and very well priced. Many choices, but I stuck with the short rib special. Tasty stuff indeed.
