This has been my families go to restaurant and bar for years. Many faces change over the years but consistency of the food seems to stay the same. I always enjoy my time here, the demographic isn’t really me for bar setting, but I really enjoy me dinners and the rate breakfast we have here

Let me just start off by saying: WHITEPIZZA. It’s to die for! My boyfriend and I love to come here and sit at the bar for date nights. We always have the same bartender, Carol(she’s THE best) and she knows our order — we clearly love to branch out: D the drinks are awesome and you’re not just paying for soda/juice with a splash of alcohol! The food is great and the atmosphere overall is a plus!

Located directly off Route 107, a short distance from I-95, is Master McGrath’s. This restaurant is doing it right because they have been here over 40 years. Plenty of parking in the private lot off Batchelder Road and Route 107. Walk in, to the right is the lounge, to the left is the restaurant. After being greeted by a friendly hostess, you are seated. It’s a rustic interior with heavy dark wood tables and benches for seating. The dark seating adds to the rustic appearance, dark period but subtle. Brunch starts at 8:30am Saturday and Sunday. We were here today for the brunch. The food was bland. Sausage links tasted old and the eggs were quite wet. Had the cinnamon bun and that tasted like it was bought from a store. For $ 2.99, it was a waste of money. I spent the day after eating here sick to my stomach, so we will not be back for breakfast. Two eggs hard, Cinnamon Swirl French Toast, Sausage Links, Coffee, and Orange Juice. A very pleasant and informative waitress. There is no private room for functions. Only thing possible is to call ahead to use the lounge but not private.

I always really enjoy my meal here. I’ve had the clam chowder which is great, usually alongside their salad bar. The salad bar isn’t huge, but I like the less common options they do offer such as a bean-dip style bean salad, marinated onions, and pickled beets. Yes, the décor is something from about 35 years ago, but that’s why I love it! You can’t beat the dark wooden booths flanked by heavy tapestry. I no longer live in the seacoast area, but I often stop when I’m passing through.

We ate here for the first and last time. I only wished I read reviews before visiting. The woman that sat us was very pleasant and took our drink order as soon as we sat down. We were ½ way done with our drink(ice tea) before our waitress even took our order. I got the Lobster Pie, rice and squash. The rice was the best part of the meal. The squash was hard, it was barely cooked, and the lobster was dry. I practically choked on the Ritz crackers on top. The waitress never came over to see if we wanted another drink or to check to see how we were doing. When we flagged her down to get the bill she went right to the cash register, but got side tracked and had to deliver food for 2 more tables. She finally gave us our bill which we paid and promptly left. Honestly, if I’m going to spend $ 50 on dinner I expect the staff to be pleasant and engaging and the food to be fabulous.

Outdated. Waitstaff didn’t introduce themselves, tried to take our order a second time after we had already ordered. We got the turkey dinner special. The turkey was processed pressed meat, stuffing soggy, and butternut squash really sweet. Not going back again for a second try!

A few nights ago me and my friend decided to dine here because we were in the area and wanted to get something to eat before heading home to Rochester. We get in there and we pretty much know what we want right away(chicken lord lurgan). So we order and then go up for the salad bar. Im extremely thirsty so i drink my beverage with my salad and by the time my food comes my cup is empty and waiting to be refilled. She brings us our food, but didnt ask if i wanted a refill for my empty cup that was sitting right in front of her face.(Keep in mind this place is not busy only one other booth was occupied). So i finish my meal, still without a drink. Im sitting at the table watching your so called useless hostess text on her phone, leaning over the counter talking, hanging over the kitchens doors talking to the cooks. Shes doing nothing productive but yet i just went my whole meal without a drink and have been waiting over ten minutes for my check? So finally the waiter comes. She asked if we need a box, clearly theres no food on the plate so i respond with a quick no. Then she asks if id like my drink refilled. ATTHEENDOFMYMEALWHENIMWAITINGFORTHECHECK. I WASBESIDEMYSELF. This isnt the first time either! Everytime ive gone here its been a bad experience. The hostess people sit at a booth play on their cell phones INPLAINVIEWOFYOURCUSTOMERS, play cross word puzzles, talk. But you never once see them do something useful. How unprofessional. Im so sick of the lack of customer service skills your people lack. The time before this i had waited for my check for over 20 minutes as your hostess sat in a booth eating!!! It got to the point i walked up to the counter and demanded my damn check. Everytime i come in here theres never any customers. This place has so much potential but your employees are rude and lazy!!! Im NEVER wasting a goddamn dime here. Im so sick of this. Treat your customers right before you have none to treat at all!

Very Dated and not in the cool nostalgic way. Very Dirty. Food was unappetizing. Staff was discussing very personal details at the table next to us. Our server was not friendly even when we tried to engage her. We are new to the area and it’s so close to our house I’m really sad we had such a bad experience.

The food is pretty gross, and the portions are very small. My moms chicken came out like rubber with no seasoning or sauce. Not going back

Whenever I order stuff from here, it’s pretty good. Not too many healthy choices, but a yummy fattening meal right near the beach. Be aware that there’s a lot of crackheads in the apartments and hotel nearby. My husband got all his $ 2500 worth of soldering tools stolen from his truck when just inside for a few seconds next door at the gas station. Anyway, the only thing I have to say negative, is that the floor and general restaurant is really filthy. Not sure about the kitchen. Service is slower than average. Food good.

I admit I come here a lot – to eat and drink. I have met most of my current friends here. I also admit that I know the designer of the place who is now in his late-70s and his décor exists today as it did 40 years ago. Some people love it, some people hate it – It is truly a step into the past, memorializing the dog-racing experience which no longer is offered at the track down the street. Nostalgic to those who remember it fondly. In Seabrook, there are many franchise restaurants: too many to mention here, and there are more coming with the new shopping centers. However, this is one of the few remaining family-owned establishments still trying to offer singles and families a reasonably-priced dining experience. They aim to please. True, several of the menu items are old family recipes and unfamiliar to younger people. For the price, though, you can’t beat the quality. If you are a meat-eater like me, a really good Angus beef steak, cooked perfectly, will definitely please you. I have never seen one sent back. The burgers generate raves. They know how to do it here. They have seafood items, too, and Friday is officially«Fish Day” – the Fish ‘n Chips(fresh-delivered haddock) is jaw-dropping huge, battered to order, and fried to perfection. Most of the wait staff have been with the family forever, and they know everything. Questions? They have the answers. Don’t see what you want? They will ask the chef if it can be done. The kitchen aims to please like you will find nowhere else. And if there’s a problem, they can fix it – they don’t need to get a manager’s approval to make things right for you. I just spent a very expensive evening at the Hardcover in Danvers(see my less-than-stellar review) and spent 3 times as much on a supposedly special-occasion meal that couldn’t hold a candle to McGrath’s everyday offerings. In this cookie-cutter franchise world, uniqueness like this can be endearing.

If out want to bring the family go for it because they have a separate dining room away from the bar area. The staff is and waiters/waitresses are very nice. The food is also very good for breakfast on the weekends, lunch in the afternoon and dinner at night. Would visit again.

Hadn’t been here in several years. First time for dinner, which was not great as I recall. This time, driving by, we saw a banner that they had breakfast on the weekend. Thought we would give it another try. The place hasn’t changed in appearance. Still extremely dark décor, old pub-style. The booths with the hooked back curtains still there and dingy/dinky yellow light fixture over the table. Didn’t really expect it to have changed. I wasn’t impressed to see the salad bar items in place. Hope they weren’t there all night! It was quiet, half the place was empty at 8:30am. So no problems with getting service. Our waitress was very pleasant. I chose one of the specials, Lobster Florentine Omelette with home fries. Not bad, but definitely nowhere near the amount of lobster you get in an omelette at Bessie’s in Brentwood, NH for less money. Not really any big pieces of claw meat, pretty much small bits and pieces. But overall the taste was nice. Had the hollandaise on the side just in case it’s not the real thing and most places put far too much on. It wasn’t too bad actually, used it for dipping. Husband had the Meat Lovers’ Omelette with pancakes on the side. He seemed quite satisfied. Won’t be going out of our way to make a return visit. But if we are in the area in the future, we may pop in again.

Thius place is not worth the time. My wife and I went there once for dinner and both got sick. After a couple months we decided to give it another shot and went in for breakfast and were sadly disappointed. The service was awful and the food not much better. The waitress forgot everything we kept asking for and the food was bland and just not good. There are much better places around and this place will no longer get our business.

The food was good. Everyone enjoyed their meals which ranged from hamburger, flatbread pizza to chicken cordon bleau. The prices are really reasonable. Five of us ate lunch for $ 65.00 Now to the décor…dated and dark are being kind. The smell of mustiness from the curtains and rugs is almost overwhelming. I do love the individual booths and general set up but closing doen and pulling up that carpet would do wonders for the business because the food is good.

Went here on a Wednesday for lunch with a friend. We both got a luncheon special and I have to say that I was disappointed. It was nicely presented but once I tried it, things went downhill. I got veal parmesan with linguine. The veal was so tough I could barely cut it let alone chew it. The linguine was so overcooked I almost couldn’t eat it. The chef should be taught how to cook pasta«al dente». Worse still it came with a roll that I really believe was not cooked enough! The waitress was very good, attentive but not overbearing. Sorry but in all seriousness I will not be going back here and you shouldn’t either. The only good part of this lunch was the old friend I was dining with!

We enjoy eating at Master McGrath’s. It’s a nice place to enjoy food and good conversation with friends. It’s worth the stop in Seabrook New Hampshire for it’s authentic pub atmosphere. Although the menu is appealing, the experience of eating in a pub is more impressive than the food. One bonus for those looking for a late Sunday morning breakfast is that Master McGrath’s is one of the few restaurants in the area where a brunch menu is served. Service is prompt, prices are reasonable. This is a recommended restaurant if you’re looking for a local place with a traditional American menu, but«not» a chain restaurant.

We decided to try this place on a whim and were decidedly unimpressed. While the fried scallops were outstanding, that was the only positive thing we can say about the experience. The interior looks more like a funeral home than a restaurant and is in desperate need of an update.(Robert Irvine would have a field day here) The clam chowder was decent, but nothing special and the lobster roll was barely edible. They used what was obviously poor quality meat, consisting of only claws and legs which were severely over cooked and mushy(which is unacceptable at $ 15.99). The server was polite however he was the only one working a lunch service and required numerous requests of the same item before it ever made it to the table, and forget about any hope of drink refills. There are too many other really good places to settle for a meal which was subpar and overpriced.

My husband and I love this place. Unexpectedly good food at decent prices. It looks like there was sort of a Victorian theme that has not been changed since the place opened. The staff are incredibly friendly, the lobster pie is incredible, steak tips also very good. Salad bar leaves much to be desired… If you’re the type to have a need to eat in upscale contemporary environments don’t bother coming. But if you enjoy good food and can look past the need for updating the dining room, you’ll be pleasantly surprised.

Dim lighting does wonders to hide some of the dinginess of this place. The booths had curtains on them and there was keltic music playing in the background making it feel like a restuarante from the 1800’s. The salad bar looked bad. The waitstaff was friendly and the food was good.
