After several requests to speak to a manager, Carl called and explained that he had been on vacation. He defended the charges, arguing that they performed an additional«task» by pushing the relight button of my water heater pilot, during the process of diagnosing the reason that the pilot was out. I still disagree with his reasoning, but after reviewing my billing history and fifteen years of servicing all of the heating and cooling needs of our 3 unit condominium, he agreed to provide me a credit for the additional cost above the Service Call charge towards future annual service. Although we were unable to reach a meeting of the minds, I am satisfied that there was an accommodation.
