I’ve patronized Kwik-​n-​Ezy for the last 5 years. Today, as I was pulling out, (apparently) the hose hooked my mirror. The pipe holding the hose had a rusty bracket securing it, and it flew off and hit the front quarterpanel, passenger mirror and door of my Acura. I talked to John, the manger, who told me that «it happens all the time» but it’s not their fault.
So they have a known problem, they have no warning signs and — after driving to 3 other car washes to see how they handle it — they don’t have a spring-​loaded retainer to keep the hose from swinging into the wash bay.
The owner, Jim, was supposed to call me back tonight.
I’ll be heading to small claims court.
