This is the definition of a convenience store.
It’s conveniently located so that I can purchase gas and beer and ice which, conveniently, I often need when I’m in the area. I suppose it’s inconvenient that I need to buy lottery tickets in order win the lottery, but they have those too in case I ever feel lucky.
And Harry (if that’s the name of the guy behind the counter all the time), I already like you. If you want to take me out on a proper date, just ask. You can dispense with all the carding and «you look young for your age!» flattery, although it does make me feel pretty on my bad days.
