I have no idea how I got connected to Jupiter! I called the GeekSquad, got on their callback list but missed the callback. So I called back on that number and got Jupiter. I had a brand new computer from BestBuy(therefore the call to GeekSquad), which wasn’t working properly with lots of little quirks such as: can’t find my mouse, can’t find my HP printer; suddenly doesn’t recognize the number pad of the keyboard. Jupiter support said it found 3 virus files and would remove them for 125.00 each! What do you do when your livelyhood depends on your computer? The problems I called for still continued, so I returned the computer 2 days later to BestBuy where the real GeekSquad listened to my story and just shook their heads.

Super shady! Their website says $ 29.99 per incident. But, then they look around your computer to diagnose and say they found 5 underlying problems causing the 1 issue, so that will be 29.99×5(($ 149.95). Then, they says, since $ 149,95 is so close to a 1 year subscription of $ 199, you should just buy the 1 year subscription. See my chat with a Jupiter employee online about this pricing bait-and-switch. I reported them to the Better Business Bureau. They are a dishonest company; stay away. Jasmine: Hello! Okay i’m asking you about the pricing because NICK diagnosed this issue yesterday and told me 5 problems were causing the issue, so the charge would be $ 150. I declined as that is not what your website seems to say pricing is. Jasmine: What is the primary issue you can fix it and that $ 150 it is for 1 year unlimited technical support. no, that is not what he said. he said $ 150 to fix this issue or $ 199 for 1 year of support Jasmine: On the website it is mention 1 year for $ 199.99 but now we are giving some discount to the new customer so, that they can avail this offer and get the unlimited support. so, my original question still needs an answer. to fix whatever is causing the homegroup to not function correctly, this would cost no more than $ 29.99. is that correct? Jasmine: For homegroup issue is just $ 29.99. well then you might like to know that your employee, Nick, is lying to people to force them into 1 year subscriptions. I think this is very dishonest. I intend to lodge a formal complaint. Jasmine: Sir, I really apologies but let me tell you if you contact to any other place including best buy even, there you will find different charge’s for different issue’s. If you go to local technician also even you will find the different prices. If you really want to fix the issue please allow me to diagnose it and I apologies for the delay.

I wish i had never called these crooks. i gave them at LEAST10 tries to fix my computer. Not fixed. Asked for a refund… 3 months ago. They keep saying it’s a problem with my paypal account. I called them WITH paypal rep on the line. They played dumb. DONOTUSETHISCOMPANY. They use programs that you could download for free!!!(ie: spyware removal or registry fixer TRIALS) I sat at my computer and watched. I seriously doubt they are accredited with the BBB and even microsoft certified)

I would give no stars if possible. After they got into my computer it was left running slower than ever. More problems than when they started. Don’t believe a word they say about refunds if you are not satisfied, they did not issue a refund to us after 2 weeks — my husband made the tragic error of paying for a 2 year contract! now we have dumped our money down the drain. Worse, really, because it is worse now than before they«fixed» it. Horrible company, Dishonest, Unethical. Unresponsive.

BEWAREOFTHEIRSCAMS… I called them because some attachments would not open. Thought they could help mobilly. They logged in and told me that my computer had 15 viruses. Note: I have Norton 360, which catches 99% of these. They said the virus must be removed for the computer to work. They worked hard on closing the sale. I made them drop from 200 something to 50 dollars. After all their work, the computer still did not work. At the end, the guy simply updated adobe and it worked. They have a satisfaction guarantee. I complained about it and they refused to refund me. I told them I watched them work and there were no virus’s only cookies, which my Norton will delete. Still, no was the answer. 3 days later, my computer acted up. Jupiter Support says they warranty their work. My files would not open and the computer was acting up. I called Jupiter to fix and they refused. Later, they charged my CC again for the phone call. Somehow they looked my info up. I then called Microsoft and they said this company deleted many files and parts of my operating system. Microsoft fixed it for around 150 dollars. The final outcome is I called My VISA Company and told them about their satisfaction guarantee and their warranty. Also, micro soft had to fix and there were never any viruses. The company could not contest. Visa credit my card for all the charges. Sadder, after this, Jupiter still continues to charge my card. Visa credited me again and had to chance my card #… Beware… Jupiter is not even the real name, it is owned by Dezillion LLC… Once they get sued for to many BBB complaints, they will change the co. name again.
